I WONT SPEAK ON EVERY POINT OR ELABORATE ON THE FRUSTRATION AND EXTRA CASH THIS HAS CAUSED BUT DEPENDING HOW THIS GETS RESOLVED WILL DETERMINE IF I FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THEY ALREADY HAVE A FEW COMPLAINTS ON FILE! THESE ARE JUS STRAIGHT FACTS AND LETS NOT SAY ITS ONE THING WHEN ITS REALLY ANOTHER! I EXPECT TRUTH AND HONESTY! My recommendation is before you choose to purchase a vehicle from E-cars have it thoroughly inspected by a trusted mechanic and be sure to include checking the electrical work done from their installation of the GPS tracking device so that if it happens to short out the ignition lock cylinder you don't get told by E-cars you jus had a bad ignition switch and once the GPS is reconnected by E-cars to your brand new $300 ignition switch the car is fixed!! No! That is not correct. There is a reason why the new ignition switch didn't fix the problem. I started having electrical issues within 2 months of getting this vehicle so I took it to Meineke and yes the ignition switch did need replaced but it was caused by "a shotty wiring job of the GPS tracker box" which is wired to the ignition, Meineke's words, not mine! It took Meineke almost a week to figure out what was causing the problem, they had to dig into the dash. So of course E-cars refuses to cover the ignition switch I have to pay for it or the car sits at Meineke forever and once I pay Meineke for it since they of course won't touch the shotty electrical work which caused the car not to start or jump leaving me stranded and the dash lights to stay on when the car was off, E-cars will then tow the car to their mechanic who hired the company that wired it wrong in the first place to "fix" it so my vehicle will start and not short out my ignition again and hopefully any other electrical problems it may cause. So again NO the issue was not jus the ignition, Meineke said if that was the case I could have picked up the car the day it got replaced. The issue came from the way the tracker was installed. So who covers that expense? I do! Who is refusing to take ownership of the electrical problems because according to them, there is nothing wrong wit the GPS device they installed and they will not cover work done by another shop EVEN THOUGH THE WORK DONE WAS CAUSED BY THE DEVICE THEY PUT IN? E-cars! Meineke documented and took pictures of their findings and E-cars denies me a loner vehicle while they fix the electrical issue because I'm out of the 30 day warranty since I've had the vehicle 60 days! So yes unless I am reimbursed the price I paid to replace the ignition lock cylinder, I got screwed in the situation and E-cars will not own up to it, which is bad business. So don't insult my intelligence and play it off like it's 'this' and not truly 'that' which was the whole reason I decided not to take it back to the E-cars mechanic in the first place since they jus had the vehicle in their shop on an unrelated problem few weeks prior! They probably would have replaced the ignition and said WELP PROBLEM SOLVED or at least til the GPS shorts out the ignition again! Why would I take it back to their shop? It's simple, I wouldn't! I wanted my mechanic to diagnose the issue not the one that works for E-cars! On the bright side, Meineke didn't find any other issues that needed looked into once the 'perfectly fine' GPS wiring gets fixed! We will see! I'm basically gettin a whole lot of 'not our problem' from E-cars from a problem ORIGINATING FROM THE IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THE GPS SYSTEM THAT'S PUT ON ALL THEIR LEIN VEHICLES SO YES THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU! BE CAUTIOUS WIT THIS DEALERSHIP!
