We went to Roman Nose to hike and stopped here afterward for lunch. Neatly decorated inside, friendly staff, and great food. The food was hot and came out super fast. And they have lumpia!!! Only downfall is they do not take credit cards so you have to have cash or check.

Eagle's Nest is a cute little restaurant and if you blink you just might miss it!The ladies working were very friendly but not overly talkative. We sat down and were greeted immediately and offered some waters to get us started. We were pretty hungry and the prices of this place were just right so we ordered: bacon cheeseburger, chili burger, curly fries, straight fries, onion rings (very good), fried okra, and 2 lumpia. We loved everything but couldn't eat it all! It was a fried food feast and we ate as much as possible. Looking forward to visiting here the next time we are passing through Watonga!

The Eagle's Nest is located right across the street from the Watonga Middle School and High School, whose mascot is the eagle. The restaurant went with the school theme to create Eagle's Nest.It has a gravel parking lot and is in a metal white building. Their sign is painted on the front door and just inside the entrance is a painted Watonga Eagle mascot.Inside the walls are filled with past yearbooks and old black and white pictures of Watonga students and other citizens. The colors are just like the school colors black and red. There are tables and booths, we chose a booth to sit at.My son, who eats here all the time for lunch, ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with cheesy waffle fries and a fanta orange drink. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a sweet tea. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive. The waitress had already brought our drinks along with containers of ketchup and ranch dressing. I was kind of curious why she brought so much ranch. I know my daughter's eat ranch with everything and figured maybe a lot of the students do too when they get to leave campus to come here for lunch. The staff was all pleasant..our waitress checked on us once and then again when she exchanged the napkin dispenser at our table. The food was great and the tea didn't have an awful after taste. My son couldn't finish all of his but said it was really good. When we were ready to leave we walked up to the counter to pay. Our waitress cashed us out but before she ran my card she said she had to ask what we wanted to tip first. There was also a tip jar on the counter filled with cash. I wasn't sure how I felt about that but I told her to run it with a $5.00 tip. With the tip added it came up to $37.12 for 2 people, which is a little high for me, but all the food is good and the staff is friendly. So I'll probably be back, just not too often.

The c lumpia is really good. Lumpia is a cross between an grill and a taquito from Asia. It was yummy and came with "banana catsup."The Rueben Sandwich special was a fail. The meat was way overfilled for corned beef and definitely not corned beef seasoned. Or else I just got the heels, but the flavor was lacking. The "Swiss cheese" if it was that was like white American cheese. And the bread was marked rye instead of rye. And of course it came with the southern Rueben dressing of thousand island. SMH. Next time I'll definitely try something else. The sweet tea is sweet; I had them mix it 1/2 sweet 1/2 under and that was plenty of sweetness for me. But it was clean and they obvious clean their tea containers which is so important. The employees were so nice. I honestly wanted to give them 5 stars just because everyone was so nice. But I just honestly couldn't.

Very good fried rice & lumpia. I asked for hot sauce & really liked the banana sauce. Steve said his Eagle dog was good. Great food & great service. Don't let the outside keep you from going in, it's a metal building across from the high school...

Have been coming here since I was in middle school *grin*. This place is the best. It's changed over the "years", but yet it doesn't. Come walk down memory lane as you look at the annuals that are up on the walls and chat with the locals. Good food to boot.
