Dutch Country Cafe

They were slammed Friday afternoon as scores of hungry bicyclists descended on this cafe at the end of a long day of Bicycling Across Kansas. They seemed prepared--calm, not panicky, friendly and polite.My friend and I had a short wait for a table and then were treated to some find country cooking and small town Kansas hospitality. We both had the country fried steak, served with mashed potatoes, gravy and a roll--excellent! Then, the pie! Norm had the chocolate cream and I had cherry, warmed up and a la mode. Big slices and really, really good.I just wish it was closer to home. Or maybe, it's just as well that it isn't.

Delicious food and coffee! Very friendly and quick service. Trust me, you will not leave hungry!

I was in town for work and ate here a couple of times but most of the time I would order a cinnamon roll to go. They are delicious. Of the couple times I did actually eat here once I had a (you guessed it) cinnamon roll, the other time I had an omelet that was great. Good food, good service, clean restaurant.

Absolutely LOVE! The food is amazing and they have really good prices! The servers are always the kindest and offer the best hospitality. Its a great and homey atmosphere and you can never beat a good homemade meal

This place has excellent food! Everything is handmade ,and you can taste it. The bakery is off the hook! The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant is very cool when the food is this good, and the service is great. You get five stars. I also really appreciate unique places like this. Thanks for being different.

Great food and very clean restaurant. Staff is very friendly. then you have to take home cinnamon rolls for the next morning

Service was top notch! Restaurant was spacious and very clean. Most of the food felt like it was previously frozen or just straight from a restaurant food supply company. Everything was pretty good but nothing was great, except...The pie was fantastic and brings this up from a three star review.

Always a favorite with my family. My kids even get up early on the weekend to get breakfast there. Food and service are great.

Great service great food try the fried chicken really good white gravy on the mashed potatoes cover them with the green beans ! Try the strawberry pie!

Absolutely incredible food and coffee. My waitress Jenny was amazing and knew the menu very well. I highly recommend coming here. Worth any drive you would have to make to get here.
