Drexel Bar & Grill

Even all the way from downtown Kansas City I've known about this bar for a long time, due to seeing it comes up a lot on various band schedules. It looks like they get quite a few good bands through this place.The bar itself is a small L-shaped counter in the far back corner Next to the bar is an elevated stage. There's pool tables in the front, and the main focus of the bar is a big elevated hardwood dance floor in the middle.I didn't notice it at first, but there's another room adjacent to the stage, behind the business next door, with darts and video games. Behind that is a beer garden with a fire pit.Happy hour is 4-6.This looks like a fun place for the locals to hang out. Our bartender was very pleasant and friendly, too.

when the headquarters of Drexel mo bar and grill first took over, I thought there'd be people dressed in pretty waitress uniforms. and that there'd be some pretty wall hangings and a few pretty little wrought iron tables and chairs outside--no such thing happened. plus when you try to play pretty music, at least one waitress is hateful and unkind. If the help doesn't like what you play on the music equipment, why put it in. The front door is so junky looking, it mires the whole picture of the main street--that and the tobacco outlet and who owns the most south west bldg on main street, it looks so shabby.
