Doghouse Saloon

Oh boy, a Cottonwood Falls dive bar! My bougie self came through, thinking I'd find a glass of wine. No! This is not the place for wine. I'm not even sure they have any local beer here. (Side note: Kansas in general isn't really known for its breweries, so you're hard pressed to find local beer anywhere.) This is the bar for Coors and Bud Lite, so that's what I ended up ordering. I got a Coors Banquet, which was nice and refreshing, but comes in at about 5% ABV, so I needed two to feel something. Luckily, the beers here are super cheap and plentiful. A lot of the fun of visiting a bar is the people you meet along the way. We met some crazy (but harmless) characters here, which made the visit memorable. Oh, the conversations that can happen when you're three-to-seven Coors Banquets in! Doghouse Saloon also has a pool table in the back, as well as TVs playing sports. The restrooms were clean, which I appreciated.

This place is a wonderful addition to the community. A true authentic country bar where they have good music, good drinks and some pool tables. Hours are limited but it's worth a shot if you happen to be in town.
