Dog Park in Andover Central Park

I was so delighted when I first found this beautiful dog park in Andover. I am sad to see how underutilized it is. Only once were there other small dogs on the small dog side, while me and my 2 doxies were there. There are usually several large dogs on the large dog side. We just look longingly at them. I hope you'll come out and visit the best kept secret in Andover. This dog park is part of the municipal park which has everything you could ever wish for in a park. It's located behind Andover's city hall on East Central.

We loved this place. Friendly people and dogs. Not too many dogs there around 6pm. Bring the big spray ... I walked the path around the place also , my dog and I really enjoyed this place .

Had the potential to be a real diamond in the rough that is Central Park. The place is clean, fenced in, and surprisingly nice for Andover. My complaints are that there are never any bags to clean up after your pet, there are very few objects for the dogs to explore, and most importantly, the water fountains have water that is putrid and stinks like sewage.One other minor complaint would be that they need to pave those crappy roads around the park. They're bumpy and dusty, and why they don't put another exit on the other side of the lake is beyond me. Classic Andover, but I guess we should take what we can get!

My dog Asher and I absolutely love this dog park. We live in Augusta and visit regularly. It's nice to have a spot between home and Wichita. It's a very nice park that is well kept up. I've heard complaints about the park not having enough complementary baggies, but honestly there is an easy fix. Bring your own. If that's just too hard, the regulars (like me) will offer you one of ours. I'm hoping with all the construction going on at Andover Central Park, they will improve the roads to the dog park, but even if they don't I will continue to bring Asher because he LOVES it!
