This place is absolutely amazing. I am a travel nurse and it is important for my little pup to socialize while on assignment and for me to have a place to board her if I have to go home for a few days. They were completely amazing and treated her like a princess.

Dog Days of Sommer I am the 'perfect candidate' to write this review. Of course, you can see my rating as a five star immediately so that so can choose whether to read on. The reason that I say that I am the 'perfect candidate' is because I, as most people, love their pets as family or even as their children. I have loved my dogs over the decades and have sadly had to put several down from old age. To have to put your pet down is a terribly emotional time. I grew tired of it and decided that I would leave the hard stuff for my wife. You might think, as a Police Officer, I would be a bit more stoic than that. My dogs become my shadow and my best friend. I'll train and love them, but my wife gets to do all the serious stuff. For example, if they have to go somewhere overnight, she handles it. When I used to take them, they would look into my eyes waiting to go out the door with me. Now, my wife doesn't mind doing what I can't do. When my wife dropped my dogs off for an overnight at Dog Days of Sommer, she came out to the car telling me that my dogs were going to love it. She put my mind at ease letting me know that the staff loves the dogs, they were friendly and helpful. She assured me that the dogs are in good hands. The interior was clean, well kept, and open. There are large play areas.

They took excellent care of my dog while I was gone, and were very communicative, which was extremely helpful. Grounds were clean and inviting. I recommend leaving your pet here.

Went to check this place out for my little one. Entire place smelled like urine (cement flooring). The small dog area really only had medium size dogs in it. When I asked if my small pup could get a break in a kennel if needed, they were agreeable but it was clear by their response that they don't normally assess for this. I was there for about 30-45 minutes to allow the dogs to calm down do I could really get a good idea o how things functioned when there were no disruptions. The dogs were able to calm down. When the bigger downs jumped up on the fence multiple staff were quick to us a water bottle to spray them to get down. They used this often and in my opinion inappropriately. Two medium dogs were playing appropriately and the were squirted to stop. That bothered me the most because dogs were there to play. Additionally, they used the squirt bottle from a distance and it often hits several other dogs inadvertently. I really felt that my pup would walk away with a fear of water bottles. I was looking for a safe place for my 20 pound dog to have fun and place. Not smell urine all day, not have no outside potty time, and not be squirted with water for playing.

I adore dog days of sommer! They let my 3 share a cell at night, but they run all day. They have a small dog separate section, but they let my little (frenchie-pug) run with the big boys bc he thinks he's big (his bros are big hunting dogs). They can go in and out all day, it's clean and smells good, and they have big couches under the huge warehouse windows, which is where my old man spends most of his time sunbathing and snoozing. I've taken the boys most places, but dog days is their favorite for sure - all the others seem to charge extra for the daycare/run free part. Other perks include flexible pick up/drop off times, reduced fees for multiple dogs, grooming/misc services in addition to daycare and boarding.

I really like this place, we adopted a dog (pitbull mix) at out local shelter after a big storm last April. We take her to Dog Days twice a week, the staff there is really nice and helpful. Our dog is very active and FULL of energy and the staff has worked with our dog and we can tell the difference. Highly recommend this place. Owners of Dream

The set up is pretty nice. Like many other doggie day cares, the area is divided into different sections so that dogs are placed together depending on size. My dog was there about 2-3 days a week for a few weeks. I thought he'd get used to it, but he was scared every time I dropped him off. As for $$, it's pretty reasonable. It's $10 for half day (less than 5 hours) and $17 for full days (the place closes at 6pm I believe). What I really liked about this place was how you're able to see everything. It's nice seeing the dogs interact, inside and outside. My only concern was the cleanliness (or rather lack of). My dog peed in the playpen when he was first brought in and a lady wiped it off from the outside with a wet mop and put the mop back against the playpen. Another dog peed right on the same spot, and she did the same. The mop looked dirty and it made me wonder if she used the same urine-soaked mop to clean the play area throughout the entire day.

They try to run a really good service, and the pet guardians seem to care about your animals. But the time we took our dog there they had too many dogs in the play area at once, in my opinion.

Went here a couple of times. We have a 70 lb chocolate lab and he is super energetic. Our puppy is only 10 months and not neutered yet which has never been an issue until this last time. We picked him up and all the dogs were outside playing and ours was in a kennel. We asked the worker and she said that since he isn't neutered he has to be separated from other dogs and that he was in the kennel the whole time. So basically we're paying 140 dollars for him being in a kennel for 3 days. Also they only fed him half the food we packed for him and they said he would spill it and not give him more. Totally not worth it never coming back here.
