My dog has gone to Diggin Inn since 2013.thanks to those abusing the coupons that were in a magazine, now coupons are only for 1st time customers. Yes, they have rules now about the non refundable deposit when boarding for over Holidays, that is due to so many taking their dogs there. then is someone is rude and does not cancel they are out that space for another dog. Kind of like the way human hotels go. My dog loves to go there, and looks forward to it 2x a week. yes there are glitches when staff changes probably like all other places. Nothing we cant live with. If there is a problem the owner is usually always there, just ask to speak to her.

I have taken my dog Panda here for over 8 years. He is always well taken care of and given love while playing for the day. They have web cams and caring associates.

I went on vacation to visit my grandsons, and my husband had to go out of town also, so we needed to board our three large dogs. Diggin Inn was perfect! When I picked up my pets they were calm and well rested. They weren't frantic to get out of the kennel. The kennels were spotless; no smell of poop or pee. Don't get me wrong, it smelled like dogs, but not a dirty smell. All the kennels I passed were very clean. The dogs were excited and barky but nobody was visibly miserable. My dogs enjoyed the daycare feature. This kennel is also a bargain price. Very affordable with excellent care. The attendants knew my dogs by name. The dogs seemed to like the attendants as well. Ifg you need to board your doggies, Diggin Inn is the best in the area!

Made our reservation 3 months in advance and exchanged multiple emails confirming dates and vaccine records o Lu to shop up on the day to drop off and be told basically sorry not sorry they didn't have our reservation and had no room. What a joke. I have no doubt all the things I have since read about terrible service and poor treatment of animals is correct.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere - anywhere- else.

I am very sad to have to write this review as times are tough and I love to support local businesses. However, Diggin Inn in Derby KS has a policy that people might not know about that they have a nonrefundable 42.00 deposit to have dogs kenneled with them over the holidays. That does not include boarding fees, daycare, etc per day. We tried to cancel due to inclement weather because our schedules had changed as well and were told that the deposit is nonrefundable NO MATTER WHAT. I did ask if it could be used as a credit for future stays and was told no. Just beware, I guess if your plans change this business is unwilling to help you out under any circumstance for any reason. The person behind the desk tried to tell me that I was a no show, but I actually went in person3 days ahead of schedule for my dogs to be kenneled to try to make changes. I had also tried to call the business since 10 am the same day and got shuffled off to voice mail each call. She said she was not able to do anything at all, I was out the money without them even staying one minute with them. Thanks for nothing I guess but a bill for no services rendered. So sad this happened. Wish things could be different but I guess their policy is more important than meeting the customer's needs.

If you plan on working for Diggin Inn, I highly recommend against it. Now that I'm gone I can voice my opinion over these matters...*The pay sucks, your raises come in small doses and delayed. You have to bug the owner just to get a reminder for it.*No paid vacation*No Holiday Breaks*No breaks in General. You're out in daycare and then when it's time to put up, you get right to work on Kennel duties. The only people who get breaks are smokers, and that's 5 minutes.*Management sucks. This is coming from an Ex- Employee... I've worked at this place, for more years than I care to admit. The place is pretty great for Dogs to board and play, I even will admit they've always done a good job at putting the pet's first. HOWEVER... with that being said... they treat employees is utter shit. We never got overtime pay, never got "breaks"... were forced to work Holidays and were always under-staffed. The Management is horrible and has gone down hill over time, I can name several incidents that can be called into question about the possible ethics at working with such a company.I'm thankful to have finally left and move on, and it saddens me to hear the struggles my co-workers are going through. There is always someone being singled out, someone that the blame for everything gets put on, to be alienated by co-workers until you feel so miserable to the point it's time to quit. I''m sure this is normal for other jobs among co-workers.... but the fact that a Head Manager is just as guilty? They don't even listen to your reasoning on why you have to miss a day of work or if you have to leave early! Diggin Inn is under staffed as it is, but if they keep bullying they're employees, they're going to be left with nothing. I'm just waiting for it to finally crumble apart. The owner is probably un-aware of everything... or just chooses to not step in.This company is a ticking time bomb if the Management doesn't change and the employees continue to be under-appreciated and treated like nothing. You want the company to bloom? Your employees help run that core!
