Great price. Clean, comfortable room. It had a bit of an odd color scheme, with three yellow walls and one green. The bedspreads were a bit dated, but I don't care about that kind of stuff. On the inside of the hotel, they have a huge atrium with a pool and a hot tub and all room doors on the two levels face the pool. There is a cute little awning around the edge so it looks like a southern California motel with a pool while being an inside hotel. Overall I thought it was definitely a fair value for the price, especially since it was the only hotel for quite a good trek. Ness City, KS was not our destination and this is not a destination hotel, but they are definitely affordable, clean, and friendly.

This is a very nice motel in a very small town. The people who run it are very accommodating and hospitable. She gave me a room on the second floor and I asked for one of the first. She said they didn't have any yet. But then she found one. We went to the room which turned out to be a suite with a large bedroom a living room and a bathroom the size of most hotel rooms. Also a Jacuzzi. I recommend this place to anybody driving south or north in the middle of Kansas. The only reason I give it three stars is because it's not quite finished being renovated. But the room was very clean.

Preface to this review: I used to work at this hotel at the front desk and in the club downstairs so o do have a bit or a reference point. This hotel has gone way downhill. We rented three rooms for our family. In my mother's room, the bathroom and tub was not clean, to the point that two family members refused to shower in it. Mold was present in the bathroom. One of the beds had blood on the sheets (pictures obtained). In another room, the non-smoking room smelled of strong cleaning agents that were trying to cover up smoke. In our room, both beds had dirty sheets (pictures obtained), and blankets had grass and hair on them. In all rooms, the sheets were so thin they were see-through, and many of the towels were as well. The bedspreads were very dated, which is not a big deal, but they were dirty which is a big deal. Floors had visible particles on them.Lesser issues were the tacky color scheme in all rooms (bright yellow and green) and renovations that were shabbily completed, like tile in the bathroom. The upholstery on the room chairs was heavily stained and had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time. There are no convenient outlets in the room, so plugging devices in on the nightstand is not an option. Normal amenities, such as a hair dryer and iron/ironing board, were not provided. The restaurant wasn't open during or stay, and it looked like they were trying to renovate that as well. What used to be the club/lounge downstairs is now apparently where the owners live, and the bar is not operational. The pool and hot tub were operational and were heavily chlorinated, which I appreciated given the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. However there were no pool towels available. This is the only true hotel in the town, so options are limited. There are a couple houses that people rent out, though I have never stayed in those. Had I known what the hotel would be like, I would have either slept in my vehicle or stayed an hour away in Hays. This is not the hotel where I was proud to work years ago.

Cheap place to stay. Only $55 for a night, but the price reflects the quality. Shower didn't work. Rusted out springs were sticking out of the box spring mattress. Room stunk terribly like mold. Curtains fell off Window... Pool area looked clean.
