Koleen is TRANSPHOBIC!!!!! and knows nothing about mental health care. Front desk called me out of the blue to tell me that she suddenly decided she was going to stop prescribing me Finasteride (for hair loss) and cut me cold turkey off of hormone therapy. Didn't bother to do any research on hormone replacement therapy HRT or transgender people for that matter, and advised me to suddenly STOP taking testosterone in order to "stop my male pattern baldness", and then REFUSED to continue to prescribe it simply because she's "uncomfortable". She TOOK AWAY MY RIGHT AS A TRANSGENDER PERSON!!! Poor listening skills towards patients and keeps patients waiting while she gossips with the staff. The front desk ladies are total biotchs and don't give one crap about the patients.

The staff here is frequently excessively rude and obtrusive to patients, a complaint that I have also heard from several others who also used to take their children to this location. Our son has a medication that requires seeing the physician for refill, but the medication has been written such that it runs out on the weekends, several times. Additionally, they do not notify you when the refill will not be granted without a doctor's visit UNTIL you call for the refill. Then, if the doctor has no openings, your child has to wait WITHOUT MEDICATION for several more weekdays until the doctor can get him on the schedule. Unfortunately, the doctor is decent, but the staff is incredibly rude time and time again, even about schedule changes and other tasks. We're changing doctors, but you should avoid this location. We dealt with this and many other issues for years, you should not. This should be a zero-star review, but I had to give them at least one star for it to be posted. The staff here is just unbearably rude and uncaring, time and time and time again. Avoid!

Billing and coding department are both absolutely terrible. Dr. Bongers is the most condescending doctor I think I've ever had and he constantly preaches religion in his practice which doesn't make a single bit of sense. He isn't attentive and just wants you in and out with a 100 dollar surprise bill coming your way. If you can help it, do NOT go to this place.

My family and I have been going to this medical facility for over 22 years and have been more than satisfied with their service at every visit. The doctors are professional and competent, willing to spend the time necessary to help you. They don't descriminate, and I've never heard of someone being turned away unless it was of their own doing. We've had different kinds of health insurance over the years and all were excepted and processed by them without any problems.I definitely recommend them.

Been a patient for years and tried to get a no show charge excused, office staff has no authority and left message for supervisor to call me. is $50 worth losing a long term patient for? Let's see if she calls me back.

I would give a zero star rating for this whole practice. The doctors are very unprofessional. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to stay with them for so many years and it has negatively impacted my physical and mental health. They started me on ADHD meds but neglected to refill the prescription even though I would call multiple times and leave messages that nobody would respond to. Since it wasn't healthy for me to continue to go on and off the medicine for weeks at times I stopped taking it because I couldn't count on them to refill my prescriptions even though they told me just to call and leave a message for the nurse's line. The doctors are not knowledgeable about certain allergies such as oral allergy pollen syndrome they don't even know what that is I've had to explain that to them multiple times throughout the years. The most recent issue with this doctor's office is that they sent me for a sonogram and gave me a time frame that said I should have the results in 3 to 4 days I wanted with no calls from them so I began to call and was given excuses and to try back on the following Monday. I called the following Monday and my doctor was so lazy she told the front receptionist my results so the receptionist gave me my results of PCOS with NO explanation or anything, all she said was we can't help you here and you need to go to a gyno. I complained to the office manager about this and she agreed it was unprofessional. I also began to ask questions about things in my medical file that I could see through their portal. There NEVER once told me I was obese, they mentioned eating health only at ONE appointment years ago. They neglected to tell me they were taking my blood work for my thyroid because I am obese. I mentioned all of this to the office manager and she brushed it off. Then today while I'm still waiting three months to get into a new doctor they sent me a letter saying they canceled me as a patient. Derby family med centers will leave you without any medication, they are NOT knowledgeable or at least my doctor wasn't. The reason I say this is because just looking up the general symptoms of PCOS I should have been diagnosed with this years ago. I asked my doctor, hey why am I not having my menstruation cycles. Her response and I quote was I guess you're just one of the lucky ones. If you or your loved ones need a doctor don't come to this place because they won't help you and they'll leave you without a way to refill your medication if you complain.

Went here for years, no matter why I went in there I was prescribed antibiotics. Dr. Niederee, and Dr.Bongers are horrible family doctors. They definitely just go through the motions. Receptionist always acts annoyed people are there. If you only want to see a doctor for 2.5 minutes and get antibiotics and maybe a steroid, this place is for you! I went to a different doctor in Derby, didn't know what I was missing. Should of left years ago. Don't waste your time trying to find a doctor here, and if you are a current patient, I suggest looking elsewhere. The one positive thing I have to say is the nursing staff has always been excellent.

Was able to get an appointment the day after I called. Receptive area very friendly. Doctors assistant friendly and efficient and Dr Bongers didn't rush me through.

They wouldn't accept me as a new patient when they left Haysville. And was told no Dr there was willing to accept me, I have some medical issues and it's like they only want patients with issues. I have always paid my bills. They won't call you back, then I was told to go see a different doctor within their Med Center. So they want to pass me off to someone else. All of my medical issues was over 30yrs ago and only have to monitor.

I strongly would not recommend anyone to ever consider being a patient here. I came in for a standard physical that would be 100% covered by my health insurance. Without informing me or reaching out at all that any of my results came back abnormal, they ran additional bloodwork was taken without my consent or any contact regarding the need for additional testing. The additional tests came back clear (as I knew they would have if they had contacted me) however all of the charges were thrown out of preventive category resulting in medical charges I was left to pay. The office refuses to take any responsibility for not talking to the patient and running tests without my consent. This company only cares about increasing their end revenues and could care less about the patient. This was extremely apparent after my conversations with their manager, Gina.
