Delgado's is by far one of our top choices for a sit down Mexican restaurant, but you do need to be prepared that they do things a little differently than many other sit down restaurants. Delgado's does charge for each basket of chips. Their pop is by means of a cup of ice with a can of your chosen pop, which also means that the refill is another charge for another can. HOWEVER, I can purchase two cans of pop there for less than most restaurants charge for their 'free refill' drinks. The cost of their food is incredibly reasonable, and even with the separate charge for each basket of chips or can of pop we still spend $10-$20 less per meal to feed our family of 6 than we spend at just about any other sit down restaurant in this area. The difference is that other places jack up their prices on everything else to give you 'free' chips. I guarantee you're still paying for it. This is a family run establishment. We have gone here for years and even though we moved away from the area several years ago, we still make a point of stopping by Delgado's a few times a year as we are traveling through the area. The food tastes excellent. Their flour chips are to die for. Our kiddos enjoy the Sanchos and enchiladas and my husband enjoys their fajitas. The salsa is the perfect blend of spices...not too spicy or bland and not too chunky or smooth. My only small complaint would be that they do not take a debit/credit card, so I do make sure to have cash or my checkbook when we go there. That inconvenience has nothing to do with the food, though, and it doesn't bother me to pay by check (I'm just glad to know ahead of time that I need to bring something other than a debit/credit card). Overall, I 100% will recommend Delgado's to any person looking for a yummy, affordable Mexican restaurant.
