Defiance Brewing Co Downtown

A yummy spot!Loved the pizza. Tasty and the perfect meal when you're hungry. They even made my sister a pizza with a pesto base even though they never had done it before. The good news is.. she loved it.

In defiance of the five-star rating, our meal was just okay. Maybe I should have gotten the pizza because they do have a pizza oven! Or the popper egg rolls sounded really good! I got the hot mess burger and it wasn't hot, just a mess! The cheese sauce was curdled and didn't have much flavor. The bacon and onions were great! The burger itself was a little overdone - didn't come out medium as requested. And the tots were underdone, crispy on the outside but still a little uncooked on the inside. They must bake them instead of fry them, but I'm just guessing. It was all edible but just not exciting. Sometimes when you see a five-star rating your expectations are too high, and that might have been the case here.

Stopped in for an afternoon beer after gearing great things abt ttheir beer. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern interiorr. I sat at the bar and ordered theitheir twisted logilogik ipa. Very good. I didnt try the food but it looked really good. I would return.

Pizza was good, super cheesy and reasonable priced. it was pretty empty inside so our food was out quick, would probably come back and try their wings next time

We stopped in to the downtown location for a drink & ended up staying for dinner. We really enjoyed the beer. We got a couple pizzas, the white with mushrooms & truffle & a pepperoni; they are both delicious! They have a great pizza oven. Service was friendly & good but pretty deserted in this big room on a Wednesday night.

As soon as you enter, you know it'll be a good experience. Colten was running the front counter, and he was so friendly and informative. He helped us pick our beer and made great recommendations! We went with the Big Money, a breakfast beer with orange purée in it (tasted like a beer creamsicle!) and the lemon shandy. Both were tasty and very drinkable, and can't beat the price at $6 for a 23oz. The pizza was awesome too- the perfect amount of jalapeño with a drizzle of sauce, and the wood fire oven added perfect smokiness to the crust. Highly, highly recommend. I know I'll be back to try more beers and the elote pizza next!

Black Friday pizza and beer at Deliverance Pub in Hays, KS. Pizza has hot sausage, green chilis, hot oil, and hot honey on chewy crust from a serious wood fired pizza oven. Beer is a local brew called Grit and Spice. Think of a hint of jalapeño in a really cold pale ale beer. Yum. The location is a little out of the way, and the decor is pretty concrete and gray, but the food and the service are stellar. Hays, KS - you have won our hearts!

Stopped in on my way home to Denver after a decent drive from St. Louis. I needed some liquid refreshment from the drive. This place has an excellent beer menu and a really good food menu. The beer tenders are excellent and can answer questions you have about what you're about to drink. The burgers here are good. Next time I'm driving through I might stop and get one of their other food options.

Excellent pizza, garlic knots, and a variety of beers! This is our favorite place to go when visiting Hays!
