It couldn't have been a better experience. It's just that simple. The folks in the office were great. It was easy to schedule an appointment and when I changed the scope of work they quickly accommodated me.Michael showed up on time and wearing a mask. He was the very definition of professional and he promptly and competently went about his business. He was a great guy to boot. What's not to like? I couldn't ask for better. David Lies Plumbing knows plumbing and they also know customer service and professionalism.

Experienced plumber, Bob, came out today to resolve a leak in the basement which started with in the past 24 hours. He methodically, but quickly isolated the issue and made a pinpoint determination as to where specifically the leak was at. He cut out the piece of copper with the fine mist leak, got it replaced and tested everything with the washer (as this was the hot water line to the washer) to make sure all was well. One hour tops and our bad start to a Thursday morning was quickly resolved. This is the 2nd time we used David Lies Plumbing within the past three months and we are totally satisfied both times.

Did a really nice job today. At first it was thought the repairs were going to be up to $400 but was able to fix the problem for much much less. We have several other projects we need help with and we will definitely want to use them again.

I was surprised how they accommodated me in my hour of desperation, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg! Dude was kind, knowledgable and clean. Highly recommend Lies.

Basically it was good experience, the small leak was fixed, it was a simple job that took 40-45 min. I was quoted that there would be $100 / hour minimum and would be charged in 15 min intervals labor after that, plus parts. When he arrived as I said it took no more that 40 min to actually fix and replace $40 of parts. Ok, so $100 plus $40 in parts. The bill was almost $300. Why, because I find the $100 / hour fee starts when they call and say they are on their way. Also, after work was finished the plumber spent 15 min in his truck in the driveway filling out the bill. All of this time from the time he called me to say he way on his way until the time he handed me the bill was included in the labor fee of $100/ hour, plus $25 / 15 min. Derby, KS

Last year I decided to have a water softener installed in my house. After great amount of research I decided on the Sterling system. I found David Lies online and contacted them for more information. I spoke with Evan. He was very informative and answered all my questions. He told me that they have one person that installs all their water softeners. He told me it was Jeremy and he knows everything about the systems. I decided to go with them. When the time came for the install the person that came was not Jeremy but someone that had never put in a softener and claimed he did not know exactly what he was doing. But he felt confident that he could figure it out. When asked why they sent him he said he did not know. He installed after reading the instructions and I also had to help as well and he made a number of calls to Jeremy for help. After about 5 hours he said its running. I asked if there is anything I need to know about the care and operation of the unit. He said he did not know anything about them but the instructions should tell me everything. The softener seemed to working fine for about 3 - 4 months then we noticed hard water deposits and calcium build up. I contacted David Lies Plumbing and they said get a water tester and check but if the softener says it is softening then it is working. I got the test and it said that the water was still very hard. But because the softener said it was softening I thought it was incorrect. After a few more months nothing got better. I contacted them again and said that no salt had been used and the water seemed very hard as well. They told me that Sterling does not use much salt and the I may need to increase the grams per gallon. I checked the instructions and it stated the default setting was 20 and Lies Plumbing had set it at 11. So, I felt like that must be the problem. Nope it wasn't. I moved it to 25, then 35 and then 50 and no difference. I had made markers in the brine tank to measure the salt level and it had not moved if in 8 months. In april 2018 one year later I contacted Lies plumbing and explained salt level had not gone down and the water was hard. They told me the unit does not use much salt. I then contacted Sterling directly and they had me check some things and what found after reading the install instructions is that the man they sent that stated he did not know how to install the unit had put the hose that would give the brine tank water he put it into the drain. And the hose that would put the salted water back into the resin tank was cut and put into the drain as well. After contacting Lies plumbing again they said they would contact Sterling to make sure that the unit had not been damaged by running through the regen cycle for one year since it was improperly installed. Evan said he would get right back with me. This was on Monday April 30, 2018 at 8:30 am. as of tuesday May 1, 2018 4:30 pm I have not heard from him. Nevertheless, I contacted Sterling to ask the question myself. They had not heard from Lies plumbing about this. so, I would be very cautious in using this company for any plumbing work. You don't know what quality you will get or what experience the service person has for the job. Their customer service is obviously horrible as you can see. If I need service on this unit I have already found more reputable companies for service.
