5 Stars - Great BBQ, but the Sauce Stole the Show!Stopped in for some BBQ, and while the food was solid, the real star of the meal was the Head Country BBQ Sauce. It took everything to the next level--rich, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. We loved it so much that we ended up buying an entire case to take back home to Arizona! If you're a BBQ fan, do yourself a favor and try the sauce--you won't regret it.

Best barbecue you can get! Seasoning is amazing. This was originally head country. You can buy their food or you can buy their sauce or dry rub. It's all wonderful.

Expectations are a funny thing. It's possible that the enthusiastic recommendation of a Ponca City local may have set expectations too high. They went even higher when we saw the fancier BBQ place that's literally next door - surely Danny's must be AMAZING to stay in business with so much nearby competition!Well, tastes are individual and local, so I wouldn't tell any Danny's fan that they're wrong. To us, it was just a good meal. But it was pretty cool to see how a place that looks fairly plain and small on the outside is big and nice on the inside.

I love me some Barbecue and it is really hard for me not to find some positive. But this place found a way. I did come in at the end of their evening. They close at 8 pm and I arrived at 7:30 pm. The looks I got from the staff were hilarious, they were cleaning up the seating area and drink station. You go to the line and order and they hand you a plate. Everything else is either under a warming light or in a small fridge. I had the sampler platter which had ribs, brisket, ham slices, and a hot link. I got Mac and Cheese, Cole slaw, and an apple crisp. The brisket was okay, no smoke ring; looked like a roast. The ham was pre-processed ham and that was it. The ribs were atrocious, overcooked and the exterior burned. I couldn't even finish the ribs, they were giving me a little heartburn. Hot link was dry and nothing special. Sides were meh. No drinks available except for the soda since the staff wanted to leave. Rib crib next door would probably give you better for the price point.

I've eaten here a number of times and really not sure why. Tonight I got the sampler platter which consists of ham, brisket, hot links, and ribs. Most of my ribs were not edible. Dried out and really terrible. It seemed like the girl slicing the meat gave me the scraps of everything. Brisket was the end piece, (dried out) ribs were the end piece (dried out) and hot links were shriveled up and dried out.The only meat I had on my plate and was good was the ham.My sides were fried okra and Cole slaw. How bad is this, that a bbq restaurant's best things were the sides and ham??Do better Danny's Barbecue!!

Good old fashioned bbq used to be "head country". Still as good as always. Recommend meat by the pound.

Everyone claims to have the best barbeque. Let me tell you, these guys really do! Don't let the building put you off. Just eat it. You'll be amazed.We used Danny's for a catered event for 45 people. The delivery was flawless, the food was hat and fresh, the people were cordial and helpful, the price was fair.

Easily my favorite bbq joint in Ponca City. The ribs are always fall off the bone delicious, they are fast, efficient, and the staff has always been friendly. I love the atmosphere of the inside dining. I am obsessed with their bbq baked potato.

Always consistent bbq, every single time. The best in the state by far. The staff takes such careful precautions to make sure you are pleased.

Great BBQ! Love Head Country sauce. Very clean and the service is great! A good menu. A great place to go.
