Daimaru Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

Had a pretty good experience here. Stopped by with a long lost friend who was visiting from out of town. Was the day before Thanksgiving and the place was not too busy. Service was excellent and the staff were super friendly. Did not try any sushi, but did try some of the curry and the fried rice. Not disappointed in either. Drinks were good and pretty potent. :) Stayed here till late, pretty much shutting down the place.

The restaurant was nice the waiter very nice the food. The flavor has left the building. Not sure what they were thinking of. They needed a little more into their food right now.

SUSHI ONLY stars:For being one of the only sushi places within countless miles, it's hard to get GREAT Quality sushi. That being said: I Give the SUSHI ONLY a par (3 stars). The yellowtail appetizer was among the best.Habachi was great and always delicious.Overall if you need a sushi fix this is the place.Recommend finding out from establishment when their fish is delivered and that would be the BEST day to plan to eat.Great Family place. Will still keep coming back!!!

We've been there at least 100 times and today was horrid. Got seated and never got a server....... Finally Ying got our drink order and we went with it. Food got served but missed an order. I had to find him and he said he forgot that order......... Food was delicious, but had to ask for a container several times. Left no tip, but the bill was correct. No apologies or anything. Not good.

We received poor service for our first impression in Salina, KS.Red flag before being sat: At 9:25 PM: A lady supervisor yelled at her young male host because we were waiting for out of town family to be sat. At 9:35 PM Manager had to explain their policy of no chef for hibachi grill after 9:30 PM.The environment looks older. Benches have cracked vinyl seating. Sat a larger party of six us next to a baby in a stroller that was uncomfortable since when were just sat before us and had to adjust the baby in stroller. We had to be quieter... Ordering: Kirin unavailable at a hibachi grill!The sushi was good. Lacked having balanced amount of rice a our Nigiri . The eel was presented with green fatty belly tissue. Glad they took it off our bill.End of the day service was noted. They cared little. Felt hurried. No silverware before meal arrives. No soy basin for dipping of wasabi soy mix. Bottom-line they treated us poorly and we are waiting for them to return our lost graduation cards! C'mon man!!

The food is always wonderful. I absolutely love being up close watching the chefs cook and entertaining us. Everything about the place is outstanding.

Growing up this was always the spot for special occasions because of the fun atmosphere and tasty food. My spouse and I choose this place for date night and we're disappointed immediately by the gloomy atmosphere and lack of music by the grill since it was a slower night. We were also disappointed by the bar being out of mint for the cucumber sake mojito, this is my all time favorite cocktail and this is the second time we have dined here and they were out. They were also out of the white zinfandel wine which I had ordered in its place. Our server seemed uninterested in her job or the guest experience. Austin, our hibatchi grill master turned this experience around. He was great at his job, super passionate, and talkative which we really appreciated being former servers.

I would give this restaurant if you can even call it that zero stars if that was an option. The food was very underwhelming and dry. The service was also very underwhelming. I ordered a side of steak and it was $20!! That's absolutely outrageous, we also did not get the soup and salad until the meal was basically finished. The atmosphere was nothing special. I will not be returning to this establishment and suggest you don't either!

Tried them while on a work trip, it was pretty good, service was good. A bit dark inside but overall was nice.

What a rip off, if you sit down there and eat you don't get charged for Fried rice or Yum Yum sauce but if you call and get carry out they charge $4. This is a way to rip people off. Im in the restaurant business and this is a bad business.
