Dagney's Ice Cream

Great service & ice cream. I had dark chocolate and raspberry. I'd return here again if back in Salina.

Very friendly 2 young ladies waited on us . In a part of the old downtown, great little shop. Lots of flavors of ice cream rich,creamy, and not too much sugar. You can really taste the flavors. We tried 3 flavors of chocolate and raspberry, coconut, and cherry with chocolate. Excellent. It was a very hot day so this was perfect.

Delicious creamy unique rich yummy ice cream. Wonderful flavors I had never had before. My favorite was pecan pie. Tasted like someone had stolen Grandma's recipe and whipped it into ice cream. Cookie dough and lavender honey were good but the pecan pie was amazing.

We're from Wichita, the unofficial food option capitol of the world, but I can fairly say we have nothing quite like Salina's Dagney's. Our (many) ice cream options are fine but this tiny place and its perfectly flavored homemade selection just hits different.After a couple cozy sliders, we made our way further downtown to the cute little ice cream shop tiled in classic red, black and white. The narrow room had several tables spaced a comfortable distance apart (I hate sitting on top of people after the peace of social distancing.) The two servers behind the counter greeted us as we came in and waited patiently as we sorted through the big-but-not-too-big list of flavors printed on a large menu on the wall (very helpful!) We have no idea when we'll be back in town, so we both got the three flavor flights. When I couldn't decide between the banana and the brownie, they offered me two big ol' spoonfuls to sample and that sealed the deal on the brownie. I didn't get the dairy free options but I was tempted!I ended up getting the dark chocolate raspberry, lemon custard and brownie fudge. The dcr was so perfect: rich and definitely dark to offset the tart, crunchy raspberry bits (maybe freeze dried?) The lemon custard was tart but like real lemons, with a light butter finish and would be perfect in a waffle cone. The brownie fudge was truly a work of art. The brownie chunks were gooey and not just frozen chunks, the fudge was smooth and soft and even the vanilla ice cream (easily my least favorite part in most cases) was gorgeous and tasted both homemade and like actual vanilla and not just cold white sugar filler. My husband got hot chocolate (it has a spicy kick!), Eve's fall (cinnamon apple! Yum!) and Elderberry (I couldn't taste this one very well.) I've never had a deep desire to go to Salina but now I believe I've found one. I'm hooked for good!

Delish and dairy free options are great! Cute spot with a few tables outside. Would love a few GF comes if possible!

Another delicious visit to this small ice cream parlor for the third year in a row for our family's annual trip to the mountains. After a savory dinner at Blue Skye Brewery, we headed here in search of something sweet to end the night on. My daughter got the raspberry ice cream in a waffle cone--simply amazing. I got the dark chocolate ice cream in a cup. Side note: I'm grateful they offer a small cup size for just the perfect portion. Thanks again and we'll be back in a couple of years!

First timer! Nice little shop with plenty of flavor options. People that worked there were nice. The setting of the place is nice.

Their service was great and their ice cream is wonderful. We met friends at Dagney's and had a wonderful visit. The seating was great and we had a nice visit with wonderful ice cream.

Great variety of flavors to choose from and wonderful service! Wish I was in town longer so I could have come back.

Amazing ice cream. We were in town visiting KWU and stumbled on this gem. Highly recommend!!
