Cypress surgery center was a phenomenal experience. From the moment we checked in they had a warm and welcome atmosphere and my child was not afraid at any point. The nurses took such good care of us from the moment we walked in, having fun ways to get height and weight, having coloring pages and endless stickers, even making a surgical bracelet and hat for Puppy (our lovey). Then anesthesia was so impressive with their attention to detail, having my child hold the anesthesia mask and put fun stickers on it then painting the inside with yummy smelling cream so he wasn't worried and was excited to "blow up the balloon" when he got back to the OR. And then driving a racecar to the OR was the cherry on top!! Post op was equally helpful and so informative. I cannot recommend Cypress higher, I will recommend to all my family and friends especially for surgery on their littles.

To say that I WASN'T looking forward to having a Colonoscopy is probably the understatement of the Decade!! My Primary Dr had been 'suggesting' it for about 3 years and I finally agreed to it. Probably because Colon Cancer runs on both sides of the Family. I called the number that my Dr gave me to schedule this procedure. I originally spoke to Jennifer and she found a date available that would work for both me and my Husband. She asked me a lot of questions and typed in my responses. About my Prescribe Medications, Herbal Supplements and OTC Medications, etc. She told me EXACTLY what I needed to do to 'Prep' for this procedure and I was sent a large package in the mail -- highlighting the more important information. Plus a MAP with directions to their location. After booking my appointment, I was sent several Emails requesting that I fill in questions Online. It was extensive and wanted me to tell them exactly which Medications and Supplements that I take along with the MG's for each. Previous Medical Experiences, etc. After it was completed -- I was sent a pkg in the Mail with specifics highlighted and directives for Surgery Prep.About a week before the Procedure, I was called to confirm my Appointment and questions were asked to verify things on my Online Application. Although my Appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am -- I was told to arrive at 8:45 am. The morning of my Appointment was miserable and Icy -- so my Husband insisted that we get a very early start -- and we ultimately ended up at their location about 1 & 1/2 hours early. I checked in and my Pre-Registration was handled by a lady named Gladys. Everything had been printed out from my Online information and basically I needed to verify everything. Then I returned to the Waiting Room to wait with my Husband. When I was eventually called in by the RN (bring a book) -- everything escalated very quickly. My Husband was seated in the 'Waiting Room' and I was sat down to re-verify my answers to their Online Questionaire. I was given a bag with Socks and a Gown and told to return to my spot when I had changed. The bag was for my Shoes and Clothing.A very nice RN came in and set up an IV and put a Blood Pressure Monitor on me. Then they brought my Husband into the area to keep me company until the Procedure. The Anesthesiologist came in and again asked questions. My Dr -- Diana Hunt -- came in and reviewed more questions and she answered some questions from my Husband. Then I was sent in for the Colonoscopy. I was brought into a dimly lit room. The Anesthesiologist was there along with an RN and my Dr. Everything was explained to me and I was positioned before given the Anesthesia. I don't remember anything after that and until I woke up back in the Recovery Area. Once I woke up, they brought my Husband back in. The Dr stopped by with a printed out 'Colonoscopy Report' with Pictures. She was forwarding the same report to my primary Dr.I was given my bag of clothes and my Husband was directed to bring our Vehicle around and I was wheeled out to it. It was so ICY that my Husband was breaking up the ice in front of our Truck's Passenger door. I was helped into our Truck and we were on our way home.Every little thing was explained (repeatedly) and every single person introduced themselves (by 1st name -- except the Dr's). I have not received my portion of the Bill yet and since it was only yesterday -- I will see how my Primary Dr handles the results -- but it was a very POSITIVE experience!!

I highly recommend Cypress Surgery Center. My husband had a lymph-node removed yesterday and we were both treated with the upmost respect from check in to discharge. His surgeon, Dr Hentzen was absolutely amazing as well.

This was my first time at Cypress Surgery Center for a tonsilectomy, adenoidectomy and a biopsy this morning and I had a great experience with the facility, the staff at the receptionist desk who took my DL & insurance cards, the ladies who went over all my information to make sure it was correct and took my remainder of my payment that was due and once I was taken into the back to get changed into my gown, give a urine sample and get into my surgery bay room the nurses were amazing. One nurse went to get my husband fromt he waiting room and the other nurse Tracy Pain ( I believe that was her last name) talked with me, gave me anti nausea medication with a small sip of water without even asking her for it after I made a statement that I vomit every time I wake up from general anesthesia, she then explained to me what would be happening that morning before the surgery and what would happen during the procedure, she then started my IV line amd did an amazing job and did it in under a minute & it was pain free as well. She spoke with me and my husband the whole time and then checked on us quit a few times as we talked to the anesthetic lady (I forgot her name) but she was super sweet and knowledgeable about what she would be doing and explained it very thoroughly in terms we would understand. Tracy then checked on us and talked with us numerous other times as we waited to speak with Dr. Hawley who is amazing and has great bedside manner, he explained to myself and my husband what the procedures entailed and let us know that my biopsies would be sent out right after surgery and they should be completed and reports should be back in his office in 5-10 business days. Tracy then came back in and explained she was going to be giving me a pre surgery relaxant/sedative and then I felt like I was going to sleep. The staff from the time we came into the facility til I was taken into surgery were 100% hands down amazing and awesome. The issues that I had as well as my husband had was with the 2 nurses when we we're waiting in recovery to go home. They went to the waiting room where my husband was and told him I was in recovery and they would bring him back to me after the Dr came out to speak to him About me, my husband said the Dr came out right away (about 10 minutes after the nurse went back into the recovery area) spoke with him and went into his next surgery. Then about an hr after speaking with Dr Hawley a different nurse came and brought my husband back to recovery where I was. The 1st nurse who came into my room to check on me was rude & acted like she didn't want to be there & like we were inconveniencing her by asking if I could go to the restroom, she stated she had to take me bcuz I was still under the anesthesia and unsteady and she would be right back, 40 minutes passed and she didn't come back so my husband went to the nurse station amd asked a young dark haired nurse if she could take me to the restroom, sje followed him into my room, unhooked me from the bp cuff, pulse ox, o2 sat meter and grabbed my IV bag and handed it to me, she then walked me to the bathrrom, opened the door and said " when your done push the call light and I'll come back for you" so I used the restroom, pushed the call light and no one came for 10 minutes and then the door opened and it was my husband who had came to get me. He then walked me back to my room and the young dark haired nurse who took me to the restroom followed us into the post op room, handed my husband my discharge instructions and medications and said " go ahead and sign these and if your ready to leave Ill take the IV out now so I can go to my next patient" she was very rude and acted like she had better things to do than to wait on me or to come back to discharge me, have the papers signed and IV removed. My husband then asked her while he was signing my discharge papers if the nausea meds and ibuprofen was called into our pharmacy amd she said if the Dr wanted it sent out and theres not a printed or written script I'm assuming it was. She then removed my IV and said we were free to go so we started to walk out and got to the door that led to the lobby and another girl stopped us and said " oh no honey you cant walk out, let me show ur husband where to pull the car up to and I'll get you a wheelchair. So she walked me back to my post op room, took my husband to where he needed to pull the car up to amd then came back to get me. We had a great experience with the receptionist, the insurance amd payment staff amd the pre op nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr Hawley but the nurses we felt with after my surgery were very unprofessional, rude and acted like they hated their jobs. I would've given a 5 star review if it wasnt for the post op staff issues that we experienced.

I have two recent experiences with this facility. In the first case my daughter had surgery and we were made to pay close to $400 even though it would be likely that the amount uncovered by the insurance would be less. At the time I was told it would only take 1 to maybe 2 weeks for any refund to be issued. Turns out they were paid 100% by the insurance company but it took multiple calls over 3 weeks and me finally driving to the facility over my lunch to get the almost $400 refunded. The second case was just today when my wife was having a procedure and we were scheduled as the doctors first patient of the day. We showed up at 8:12 for a scheduled 8:45 procedure. At 8:37 I went up to ask if the doctor was running late since we expected my wife to be called back already by that time. Finally at 9:05 my wife was called back. In talking with the doctor before the procedure, my wife found out that for some reason they thought my wife was not there and would probably have put another one before my wife if the doctor had not insisted that they double check to make sure my wife was not there(usually we have this procedure done at Surgicare but the doctor was not able to schedule it there this time). This meant that I was away from my work from 7:30 until a little after 10:00 instead of 7:30 to 9:00(I am a CPA and this is obviously busy tax season). When my wife voiced her concern about this a nurse in the next area gave my wife a hard time for complaining about the service that we received this morning. My recommendation unless no other facility can handle the procedure is have your doctor perform any procedures you need at some other facility.
