Mr. Murphy,(my best friend & trusted American Cocker Spaniel) and I moved into Crown Chase Apartments in October of 2017. There front end staff are "second to none" and getting settled was a seamless process. It is a quiet complex with security gates that close at night. Pet friendly. Grounds are well maintained. Apartments are up to date. Maintenance requests are handed in a timely manner. I Highly Recommend Crown Chase Apartments as a Great traditional or long term apartment housing experience for you. We enjoyed our time with them. Rick - "Go Hawks"

Nice Apt! Lots of amenities in the complex; love the grills the best! Very quiet apartment, never hear the neighbors. I'm a bit of a foodie and love my kitchen, pass-through window makes the room awesome, and there is Lots of counter-space! Fireplace (REAL WOOD! not gas!) is fantastic, both for ambiance, and heat.Any maintenance issues are rare, and very rapidly taken care of, we love being here!

DO NOT MOVE HERE, they don't want people to know because they deleted my first review.I lived in apartments for 7 years. This is the worst experience I have ever had. The experience is so bad that I decided to move out after 30 days. One positive: the maintenance staff is amazing. Seriously the best. Too bad the rest so so horrible.Management here does absolutely nothing to fix any problems. They project blame and minimize everything. Then they offer you to leave.Since I have moved in I have not slept at night. I am a nurse and waiting to make a mistake from no sleep. My upstairs neighbors between the hours of 10 PM and 5 AM either have a dog barking non stop or they themselves are fighting including yelling, screaming, domestic violence. It's so loud my phone is picking it up on the recorder. I can audibly hear the female yelling and crying "what did I do?"-The noise complaint/security hotline does not work. Management refused to fix it, so after a week and a half, so I got the number from a resident. Two weeks later I get a call from management saying that the only way they can do something is if Security is involved with the complaints. Yet they refused to fix the number? After apartment Security talked to them one night they came and harassed me knocking on my door at 12:15 in the morning. Security had to come back and sit outside their door. After two more harassment situations with them, I had to call the cops twice. I could have called them three times, but I was scared after some retaliation of calling the cops in the first place. At first management said if they got three noise complaints then they would have to evict them. Then it turned into " I guess we will just have to be stern with them and let them know what's on the line." to now absolutely nothing. They can't even follow their own lease term agreements. and now they refuse to call me back after I have sent emails, voice messages, and made phone calls to their office. Why should I have to move to another apartment if there is domestic violence, cursing screaming profanities, and a dog barking all night as well as harassment after I had to call the cops and then called them again because of the retaliation. Clearly breaking their lease terms to the point of my next step being filing for a restraining order.I guess at the end of the day it's all about money.I am losing so much money on this, I'm not able to function as a nurse at work very well, I've had to call in, Most residents seem to have some good experiences and but one resident I talked to was having a similar situation and management did nothing. It's too bad because this could be a nice place to live. You are at the luck of the draw and mercy of who lives around you because management won't do anything. So you can do anything you want and break your lease terms if that's your thing. So just beware if you have a neighbor that is complete trash including breaking the law, you will be asked to leave instead.

Lived at Crown Chase about 4 years. So-so place to live just in my opinion. I felt a little cooped up when touring a 1 bedroom, so I went with a 2 bedroom, first floor apartment. These are my honest thoughts and opinions on it.-Walking path around the lake is nice, and you can fish in the lake. I've caught a few bass there...no trophy fish, but something to do if you're bored.-Close to a lot of restaurants/bars/shopping on the west side. Close to the highway. Not a bad location to be at.-Emergency maintenance was always very responsive. I've had to call at midnight and they were there within an hour. The maintenance crew responded to all requests timely overall, but sometimes took several trips to fix a problem. I had furnace issues every winter and it was usually 3 calls before it got fixed correctly.-I didn't own a pet, but seems dog/cat friendly. They have a little dog park area next to the lake which I often saw people using. -Far from upscale. I can only speak for my apartment, but the interior is not what I would call upscale as their website states. Average at best. Upon move in, the paint was already not in the best looking shape, windows have paint on the inside and outside of them. Kitchen was dated and not in the best shape such as linoleum and counter tops bubbling/peeling, etc.-Don't get sold on the gated community as it "works" maybe 2 months out of the year. I don't see it listed on their website anymore so maybe they've come to terms with that.-Office staff were kind and could answer any questions, however they won't fill out any lease break forms should you need that if moving with your company or a third party. I can't get reimbursed to break my lease since I was required to have the leasing office fill out one fairly simple form. Won't apply to most people, but something to keep in mind if you plan on relocating with your work and would like to get reimbursed when breaking your lease.-Seemed to focus a lot on the landscaping/exterior of the buildings. Maybe to keep the "upscale" appearance. Some of that money could have been spent on other amenities such as new windows. Invest in a hairdryer/heat gun if you don't have one. You will want to buy some window film for your windows in the winter. They are VERY drafty. Apartments are all electric. My energy bill in the summer was around $80 usually. Winter it would jump up to $200+ easily....and that is keeping the thermostat at 68-70 degrees and wearing sweatpants/sweatshirts around so I don't freeze.-There are hose connections on the exterior of all the buildings...you can't use them though since you don't pay for that water.-Overall, not the worst place to live by far, but the rent is comparable to some much nicer/newer places in Wichita. Again, this is just my opinion on Crown Chase Apartments. You may want to look at their website for additional reviews as most of them are very positive 5 star reviews. I guess I was one of the few people there that didn't find it to be the best apartment in Wichita.

The floors are VERY thin and you can hear every step taken by people above you if they are a heavy walker. You can also hear when people above you flush the toilet or take a shower when you're in the bedroom. Very annoying.
