I'd like to preface all this with my reservation had already been COMPLETELY paid for online and there was NEVER an alert informing me that a $50 hold would be required for my stay. I stayed July 4th and checked out July 5th. Upon arrival I was informed I was required to have a refundable $50 hold put on my card. I questioned the associate (Jayden) because the website doesn't mention this refundable charge nor was there a sign on the front desk notifying the guest of this policy. I requested for Jayden to show me this policy in writing. He was incapable of providing it so he called the general manager (Tariq Khan.) Tariq Khan became defensive when I requested the policy in writing. Even aggressively asking "so you're not going to pay the $50?" After a bit of back and forth he finally found said "policy," and printed it out. The policy he was speaking of was undoubtedly for guest that would have a pet in the room (not my situation.) However, because he was combative, I was an out of towner, and it was July 4th, my back was against the wall and I allowed the refundable $50 hold on my card. Something told me to call corporate on July 5th and they advised me my card should not have been held for the $50 since I didn't have a pet. I'm reporting this hotel to the Better Business Bureau for improper and negligent practices.

Didn't look at the past reviews before staying here but we had a good experience. Taking my daughter cross country to college and we stayed here 1 night. They had complimentary bottled water and their breakfast was pretty good as far as hotel food goes. Room was clean and the staff were nice. We had a ton of stuff packed in the car and nothing was broken into and stolen so that's a win. Overall the place was decent and wouldn't mind staying here again.

We called in at around 8pm on a Saturday night right after Thanksgiving from the road in a snow storm and we were able to get a room for that same night, with two beds and that allowed pets, which is what we needed, so we were happy. We we're both an old Radisson/County Inn Club Member as well as Choice Member so we got a break on the base price on the room which was nice. The check in was quick and efficient, and without incident. Getting a free chocolate chip cookie, and two free bottles of water for being Choice Members (which is free to sign up for) at check in was another nice perk. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The place was quiet even though pets are allowed. The hot breakfast was fantastic. If one normally went out to breakfast, this would have been a $12-$18 per person breakfast with beverage, tax and tip. Two kinds of Hot waffles, French Toast Sticks, scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh fruit (grapes, oranges, bananas, cut up strawberries and mangoes), yogurt with all the fixings, breads and pastries, juices, coffee, and more, along with a spacious breakfast room. The only issue we had is they were understaffed at the front desk in the morning. Jayden, the front desk clerk did a great job and was super friendly but was the only person on duty to staff the front desk, check ins, check it's, coffee service, front desk issues, etc so the coffee service was running out of coffee and hot water. I don't blame him because I saw him constantly scrambling and never standing idle. So either they should have a second front desk person and/or pass the coffee service to the breakfast person. They do charge $25 per pet which I feel is too steep. Either charge less per pet ($10 each). Or charge $25 for up to two pets. Or include pets for free for Choice Members. We have two tiny dogs, with one being 7 lbs, and the other being 2 1/2 lbs and that is not a typo. It's really hard to paying an extra $50 for them. They are well trained, and on top of they we still sign the release saying we will pay an additional $250 if they mess up.Our flooring was carpeting, which was fine but we'd recommend something different: We love it with places that have non-carpet/pergo-laminate like floors. We think they are actually more sanitary then carpet anyway, are easier to clean and sanitize, and are great for places that allow pets or have rooms with this kind of flooring for their 'pet-friendly' rooms, We have found this in some Pet Friendly hotels and LOVE IT for both accounts (both with or without pets).

I booked this hotel under the assumption, based on the reviews, that it was going to be clean, that they were going to be amenities that I look for in hotels that I stay at, and that it would be close to the locations that I needed to go to in Wichita. It is close to Wichita, unfortunately, all of the other things that I was looking for, we're very lacking in this property. When you check in, they separate their booking reservations to those that have one night stays, are only allowed to stay on the first floor, and if you have a booking of two or more nights than you are allowed to stay on the second floor. Which is fine, I get it. But when a single traveler goes up to the desk to tell you that she would like to stay on the second floor, just due to her own safety reasons, and you were adamant on sticking to your first floor, second floor policy, I think that that is ridiculous. Upon getting into the room, it had a basic level of cleanliness until I came over by the bedside, and saw the disgusting stain that you see in the picture below. I do not know what it is, I don't want to know what it is, I had to lay a towel over it so that I didn't accidentally step on it, and I to keep it out of my view. Also, the coffee maker had some moldy standing water in it, so it was rendered completely unusable. The bathroom appeared to have mini patches in it, looking as though perhaps Alisa could happened previously. There is a Fairfield suites in a Marriott, just up the street from here, I would highly suggest, and I will be doing this next time, spend the extra few bucks and stay there instead. Much better use of your money!

I wouldn't say this is a bucket list hotel to take the family for a 5 day vacation, but for a quick stop and sleep it is just fine. Bed was comfy, shower was fine, price was right. Workout room could use an upgrade, pool area was nice. Good location, close to the highway and many good restaurants.

The location was good as it was close to the highway and several busy locations with restaurants and dining. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and spacious. Now for the bad, took forever to check-in or get any help from the front desk, although they were pleasant enough. The A/C barely worked and all our electronic things were unplugged when we got in the room. Took us a few to realize this which isn't ideal after a day of travel. Had to move the dresser myself and plug everything in. Once plugged in, the refrigerator still didn't work. The rooms were very loud with outside sounds as well. So while the bed was comfy, still took awhile to get any sleep. I'd probably stay somewhere different next time. Especially for what we paid. Should've paid an extra $10 and went somewhere else.

This location really tanked but not totally. My real major complaint was the concierge / receptionist Dylan *, he was quite unfriendly and quite condescending. He gave me unhelpful advice on where my room was and made me switch rooms when I entered my room to find there was no shower curtain in there and acted like I stole the whole thing. The hotel had quite a few positively amenities. It has plenty of parking, a beautiful courtyard, fair breakfast options. The pantry has terrible choices to choose from, quite pricey too.

To start with, I give this Country Inn and Suites one more star than the one I stayed in last night just because all the light fixtures have warm white lightbulbs. Nothing makes a hotel room as look cold and unappealing as cool white lightbulbs do. But then I need to take two away because I learned that after 3 months the ice machine is still not working. Hopefully the insects mentioned in a previous review are exterminated or I'll have to take another star back. Attention to every detail matters.

They wanted to charge me a $35 early check in fee to check in 15 minutes early so I used those 15 minutes to leave this review.

If you are looking for a place to stay, there are plenty of other choices nearby in Wichita. The reviews on this hotel made me choose this place, I regretted that decision as soon as I checked in. They separate their bookings-1 night can be downstairs only and 2+ nights upstairs. Which is fine, but there is zero room for flexibility when you ask for an upstairs room...Even when asked as a single traveler and wish to stay upstairs just for safety reasons. You then get into the room, and they are from from spotless. The coffee maker was dirty, the bathroom fixtures are dated, and then there was this disgusting spot on the carpet right by the bed. I had to cover it with a towel so I didn't accidentally step on it or see it. Again, there is a Fairfield and Marriott up the road-Do yourself a favor, spend the extra few bucks and stay there instead.
