We had been customers of CLC for a while, but then moved away from business that required hotel rentals. Recently, we returned to it and opened a new CLC account. Prior to our recent experience, I would have given them a decent rating. Pricing was consistently the best, using the card wasn't too tough... but yesterday we had an issue that showed me they don't care about their customers.Through the CLC website, we booked a double room. As in... two beds... with Extended Stay. We booked on July 11th. Yesterday, our two technicians checked in to find a room with one single bed and a couch pull out. We called the hotel, and they told us all their doubles were booked 4 months ago and to call CLC. I spoke to two reps at CLC. The first couldn't find our reservation and claimed it wasn't done right, but I had it up on my page and in response to every excuse she made as to what I didn't do, I asked her if she wanted to see a screen shot. We booked everything perfectly. Ultimately, she just said it's the hotel's issue. Not CLC's. She ended up transferring me to another rep who found the reservation easily, but also blamed the hotel. She blamed Extended Stay's reservation system. Basically... sometimes this just happens. I retorted that if they know Extended Stay is like that, why partner with them? Bottom line, those who don't get what they ask for are a part of the "acceptable risk" of doing business with Extended Stay. CLC doesn't care. She told me she can't do anything. Yes, she could have. When you book through a site and get 2, 3 confirmations for your reservation, you have the right to expect what you've reserved to be there when you check in. Not here you don't. They take their booking fee and do nothing to assist you when you don't get what you've ordered. On July 11th, or any time before yesterday, they could have called me to tell me I needed to rebook. They could have gotten us a second single room bedroom on the house or discounted since they messed up.Use CLC at your own risk.

So just I just spoke with a clc representative because I received the reception from the hotel and then a receipt for my charge from clc. After speaking to the representative she explained to me that even though CLC charge me $40 more then what the hotel charge CLC that That Wright was just because they book hundreds of rooms a month for that company. So then my next question was if you're making a $40 off of my stay then why are you charging me an additional 4 to $5 on my Room Booking, She told me the CLC only makes $4 offered every member that she doesn't know where the other $40 goes or who gets it I said so CLC doesn't get that other money? She has no idea who gets the other $40 but it's not CLC...

CLC is by far the most difficult company to work with. Customer service is atrocious and extremely slow when trying to book rooms. I gave them the benefit of doubt when my company recently switched to CLC v another travel agency due to poor management services. My finding with CLC has been nothing short of disappointing. I am not one for leaving poor reviews on businesses, but felt the urgent need to let all companies know to not use CLC for their travel needs. Short example, two days ago I had a 35+ long email chain with CLC trying to book a room for 3 people. You would think that would be easy, right? This took an entire day for them to find a hotel that was not a dumb. The main reason we couldn't locate a proper hotel is due to the fact that hotel management "don't not trust CLC." Please carefully consider doing business with this company.

Beware the $50.00 Inactivity fee if you use CLC. I am so mad at these people, they called and said you have been inactive, but no mention of the fee. I updated my credit card and tried to set up a hotel, but there were none in the area I was travelling. My mistake, because when I was not able to, they charged me the $50 fee. I had almost 3 months of solid stays prior, and they gave no consideration to that. I will never do business with these folks again.

CLC are crooks taking money from Hotels and Customers. They lie about how much the hotel is going to cost! $4.95 fee is all they should make. That was how it use to be, but now they say my account doesn't qualify for that program anymore because I don't book 1000 rooms a month!!!! The hotel cost $78.50 and then the hotel owner says no we have them rated at $52.00 (I have my hotel receipt to prove it.) so now CLC is making almost $26.50 that's just greed and wrong I hope someone takes them to court for this crap! Most of the time your not saving $3-7 dollars anyway and the hotel is getting screwed to boot. I'll just use trip advisor and find the lowest cost to book thru or negotiate my own deal. I hate this kind of greed and this is what CLC has become! They must be run by the Wall street bankers Bernie Sanders is talking about!!
