I have brought my dogs here for twenty years. Family owned and ran, the second generation of vets are now assisting their parents at both locations. Caring, loving and knowledgable vets. The staff are kind and helpful. This is the best clinic. Trust them with your pet' health and lives. You're in good hands here.

If i could give them 0 stars, i would. There is a valid reason why Companion Animal Hospital has a 1 star review. I brought my 9 week old pomeranian to the vet and they provided zero communication, abysmal customer service (especially the lady at the front desk), and they claimed that my puppy which I purchased at Petland was completely healthy without even checking for Parvo. Keep in mind, during the first visit I informed the vets that my puppy has continually had zero appetite, constant diahrea, and vomitting issues. WARNING: Companion Animal Hospital does not care about your pet, nor do they care about you. They only care about profitability. Such a shame..

Very compansionate from the person that answers the phone and greets you as you walk in, to the Vet Tech's and Veterinarian. They took time to explain options without quilt if I did not choose all the options. They were kind to my dogs as well as to me. I highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital.

My dog goes to Doggy Daycare here and I love the staff. My dog waits at the door every morning until it's time to go to daycare. And best of all, our dog is a friendly, calm awesome dog who loves the gang there--and all the other dogs (small and large). No bored doggy here!

I have used Companion in the past for previous pets and never really walked out of there feeling very good about it. I don't know why I continued to go over there except that it's convenient to my home. I have heard this same specific sentiment from two other customers of theirs. I had my last visit with them yesterday. I adopted a kitten from the KS Humane Society and took it over there because they were on the list of providers that offered a complimentary check up. When I walked in it smelled horrendous and I immediately overheard an employee scream at a dog in the pet training or kennel area. I'm still very upset about what I heard and I'm worried about how the dogs are being treated in the kennel area. I wouldn't suggest boarding or sending your pet to training classes there! The receptionist was anything but warm and friendly. I was 10 mins early for my appointment and when it was time, they had no rooms available, so I sat in the lobby for a good 15 minutes. Once I got an exam room, I sat for another 45-50 minutes. I had a 10:30 appointment and wasn't seen until 11:40. The exam room door was left open while I waited so my kitten had to stay in her box for well over an hour. I would've closed the door and let her out, but after waiting as long as I did I was afraid they would totally forget about me. I watched a tech from across the hall do the entire appointment with someone who had a large dog with skin irritation. From examining the dog, to shaving the dog to getting the medication, etc. Do they not have someone who can do that stuff so they can move on to the next appointment? I had an appointment. I was not a walk-in. When the tech finally came in I expressed my frustration (in a very calm tone) that I had waited so long to see someone. Her immediate response was "have you seen how many animals have been in here today????" "I'm sorry, but we have just had a very busy day". This made me feel like my appointment was put on the back burner for others. I would've totally understood that if there had been some emergencies, but there were none. Her response was totally rude, but I chose to say nothing in response and just figured she was having a bad day. Then, she opens my file and says "this is a complimentary appointment, right???" This confirmed that my appointment was not important to them. I get that I had a free appointment, but I did choose to go there instead of one of the other 30 clinics that offered the same free check-up. They could've treated me much better than they did. I told her that I would relieve her of some of the scheduling back-up and take my pet somewhere else, to which her response was a snide "well I'm sorry". I would've likely spent money to have some tests done and vaccinations and instead I'm sitting here writing this. It was a total waste of half my morning and I get to do it all over again. Hopefully this time with someone who actually treats their clientele like they care.

I honestly think the only way this place stays in business is the kickbacks it receives from making false health claims on the healthiness of animals in local pet stores and humane society referrals. They are NOT following COVID mandates as the employees were not wearing masks all 3 times I was there recently. Additionally, they certified my pet as healthy at a local pet store and then when I took her for her complimentary check up she had severe ear problems and ear infections requiring anesthesia and medication to treat. They would not provide a letter for me to take back to the pet store to assist with costs related to her congenital ear defects. We will be heading back to our regular veterinarian, never to set foot here again.

Because I had to give a one star to post this I did!!! Animal lovers, BEWARE!!!If you have a dog that isn't seriously ill they are probably ok. If you have a Dog like mine which had Parvo when I purchased him please pay attention to the care they give to your animal! On Sunday DR Trusdale left me a message in the morning telling me when she comes back in Sunday evening she will call me back! She never called me back. My animal was in her care for a week I only talked to the vet one time!I followed my gut went back in Monday morning to take my Puppy back to the Emergency Hospital! He was in bad shape!I am hoping the emergency animal hospital will save my Dogs life! He had to receive a blood transfusion when he got back to the hospital! Nobody at the animal companion told me how bad he really was!!!!Won't go back, won't recommend it!In my opinion they have one person that cares and that was Sonya one of the techs!

I took my dog to Companion Animal Hospital a few weeks ago for ringworm. Having had issues with ringworm before (thanks to a local dog park), I knew what it was and what we needed. Though we got the treatment we needed, I had a few issues and will not be returning.1. The vet insisted on doing a test, which she said was $40, and giving me a topical treatment, which is what I came for in the first place. When I got to the checkout, the test was actually something like $65, and they wouldn't discount it at all for having quoted me the wrong price since we'd already done the test! When I tried to get them to waive the exam fee (another $50 or so), they refused because it was our first visit. 2. When the test came back positive for ringworm (which I knew it would), the vet called in a prescription for an oral anti-fungal to speed up the treatment. She said it would probably be about $25-40 for the prescription, but when I went to pick it up it was $220! I wouldn't even pay that much for prescriptions for myself! 3. A week later when I had to return for a Bordatella shot (we were new in town and didn't have another vet yet), we had to wait in the lobby for more than 20 minutes just for the shot because I refused to pay the exam fee again, which means we didn't get to wait in an exam room. Honestly, this place is a rip off. I realize that vet care is expensive and I'm more than willing to pay for it if I trust that my dog will receive a high quality of care, but this place just makes me uneasy.
