Comfort Inn & Suites Salina North

Nice location on I70, fairly new and clean/neat. The air conditioner worked effectively!!! This went a long way of restoring my faith in Comfort Suites chain. Breakfast was the only thing that was disappointing: hard biscuits and cold gravy, for example. Overall it's a good choice and we'll stop again in the future.

We stopped at this location after driving many miles through Kansas. It was a spur of the moment stop and we were able to find an affordable room to sleep for the night. The room was clean and cozy.

Everything seems slightly dirty. Stains on the bedspread. And the bonus "snack" in my dresser. I stopped looking after the food in the dresser so I wouldn't be unable to sleep. I would not stay here again. This was a work booking under a diamond account... Half of the outlets worked, the USB port next to the bed continuously caused my iPhone to be inoperable with the OEM cable, had to find an outlet to use my brick in.

Dirty. Shower curtain dirty and moldy (see pic). Bottom of shower curtain not cleaned for quite awhile. Only one person manning the Front Counter and Breakfast area, resulting in Breakfast area tables not being cleaned at all and breakfast food area being dirty.Lobby not cleaned and lobby doors & windows being dirty.Obviously, they do not care about covid guidelines. Elevator not working all night and in the morning. Elderly guests were not offered any assistance with getting their luggage down from their rooms.I had left something in the room and called 3 times and talked to 3 different people; non of which followed through on checking to see if picked up by the cleaning crew. No one ever returned my calls.Definitely not worth the money.

The night shift was great. The day shift manager was not friendly or accommodating to travelers from out of town. With a whole empty parking lot, she threatened to charge an extra night, after claiming the following night was already sold out, when only a half hour extra was asked for. Apparently, the customer is only right when they play dumb and succumb to bogus claims of full reservations in order to exploit them for money.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! My car was broken into while staying there. The staff didnt really seem to care and said that they have a business to run. Supposedly the guy working the front desk was walking the parking lot throughtout the night but he didnt hear the car alarm?! The police said that it is a high crime area so they werent surprised about the break-in. Before this even happened the staff was rude and even tried to up charge me for an extra bed for my 1 year old son! There were only 4 adults in the room and he was sharing a bed with us. This is the worst hotel ever!!!

Better to choose a hotel on the North side of I-70. As the exit to the truck stop is right next to this hotel. The constant truck noise and idling trucks made sleeping difficult. Stayed multiple nights. After day 1 the room card locked us out. Day 2 no maid service so we had to ask for clean towels. Beware on Saturdays the breakfast area does not open until 7 am though everything is posted as 6 am. The pool heater was not on. The toilet barely flushed. On the plus side it's clean since it's new and the bed and pillows are comfortable.

I have stayed twice at this location. The first time was right after they opened. The sign wasn't even put up yet. The place was great and clean. The second time was aug 2020. The place again was great. Very clean and I didn't notice any noise from the truck stop across the road at all slept great. I plan on stopping again here in June 2021. Hope it's as nice as the last time.
