Chuan Wei Chinese Restaurant

Food is great with friendly service. But, locals tell me they don't always get good health department scores.

I've been to a couple other Chinese restaurants in town and haven't been overly impressed. Walking in to Chuan Wei I wasn't expecting much. The interior is in need of some updating. The menu selections are typical Chinese restaurant fare and the prices are reasonable. The plates they set down in front of you, however, are actually great looking, not just dumped on a plate like so many restaurants. The food is outstanding. I've looked a long time for a decent hot and sour soup and it's delicious here. I've been here 3 different times, gotten 3 different entrees and have loved every one. Definitely a must stop when craving Chinese in Woodward, OK.

On a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm I stopped here in Woodward. For some Chinese food.. several things wrong with this business.1.fish tank dry..(I am watching the fish suck in and out at a rapid pace and realize there is no filter.. just air bubbles(no pride in physical appearance)2. Sweet tea. Was not sweet at all. Not much more than just tea..3. I ordered orange chicken and steamed rice...however some lunch special arrived with noodles and roll. I just wanted steamed rice and orange chicken4. Orange chicken sauce was burnt and had a burnt sugar flavor... not caramelized.. but burnt flavor1 positive thingThe rice was steamed perfect and was fresh not mushy.However I will never eat here again. $10 dollars wasted

Pretty good Chinese food for a small town! I had the vegetable low mein, portions were good and it was pretty cheap. Fast, too, only took like 5 minutes.

This restaurant serves some of the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life!!! I ordered the Orange Peel Chicken, which came with noodles and rice. My dining partner ordered the Sesame Chicken. As soon as the plates were placed in front of us, we knew there was something horribly wrong. The food smelled... bad. Like dirty dishwater or something. Being a brave soul, I took one bite of each item on my plate. My friend took one bite of each item on his plate. The entrees tasted nothing like orange chicken or sesame chicken taste at any other Chinese restaurant we've dined at, and everything tasted even worse than it smelled. It all had a scary off- taste that bespoke of impending food poisoning, and so we just got up, paid for the food, and noped our way on out of there, never to return. There are far better Chinese restaurants in Woodward.

Not impressed!!! & will never be going here again!!!....I ordered Chicken Fried Rice and it was doused in some sweet sauce!!!...normally chicken fried rice comes as chicken, rice, with peas and carrots mixed in. I always like to add soy sauce to make it more salty, definitely not sweet!!!...The chicken on a stick was another thing!!!....it wasn't what I had expected at all, definitely not what I normally get. Price wise for what I got it was a bit steep...

Dirty. Tables and floors are always sticky. Smells like dirt fish tank. Place has gone down hill.

Menus were very dirty and sticky, plates didn't come out all at the same time but everything did come out very fast. This is not a vegan friendly restaurant tho, and the food was a bit too oily. When the server brought the last dish, she also left the ticket and didn't check in again.

I order something from here every time I'm in town, I've tried multiple things on the menu and never have had a bad meal!

Ordered takeout. Fast service and hot food! Not my favorite fried rice but egg rolls, lo mein, and beef & broccoli were delicious!
