Loved the Flour Taco. Kids loved the kids meals and it was plenty of food for them. Service was great.

When I went here I ordered one of the combination dinners (since it was Saturday & they had their special). I REALLY enjoyed my flour taco, SOOO good y'all. outside my burrito was this amazing gravy, but inside my burrito looked like a disgusting mess, was mediocre. The beef enchilada was just beef rolled up in a grilled tortilla covered with melted fake cheddar cheese. Rice was bland but I haven't been to a mexican joint that seasoned that rice so I guess that's normal. A little overpriced for some of those food items but amazing customer service, very nice & helpful. I've also heard by many that the Monterey is very good.

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. I'm picky on my beans, that's what living in rural Colorado does to you. Their beans are authentic to what my our Mexican family makes. Small place, but worth it!! Our kids love their Kids Plates and their queso is great!

My girlfriend and I went in to get a to-go order. We walked in and the server sat us at a table without asking if it was "for here or to-go." They put chips and salsa on the table even though we indicated it was to-go. We thought it was a nice gesture while we looked over the menu, but when the server realized it was To-go she took them back into the kitchen. After looking over the menu we ordered Fish Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Tortas, and Tamales. After waiting about 20 minutes we got a large bag with all the food. They said chips and salsa were in the bag (they weren't). Once we got home the salsa had leaked out of an overflowing cup and seeped through and got on everything. Once we opened the boxes of food, we were shocked. The food was disgusting. The fish tacos were one piece of frozen fish on a raw tortilla, right out of the bag (I posted pictures). The tamales were just 2 tamales thrown into a box and were super bland and tasteless. The tortas were gigantic logs of refried beans in a fried shell. The chicken tacos were just some bland chicken in tortillas. No lettuce or toppings at all on any of the food. We couldn't even eat the food! It was generally cold and tasted extremely bad. It was literally so awful that I had to take the food back to the restaurant. Now this is where it gets interesting. I asked for the manager or owner of the store to come speak to me. When he finally came out from the back, I could see back into the kitchen and didn't wash his hands. I foolishly tried to shake his hand. His hands were filthy and shaking his hand left me sticky and dirty. He stumbled out around and seemed disoriented. I explained how we were extremely dissatisfied with the food and he immediately became rude and aggressive. I told him to open the boxes and look at the food. He began to stuff the food into his mouth and shout at me. "Tastes good to me!" he gargled and nearly choked on his own food. The other customers in the store (there weren't many) were horrified. As I explained to him that everyone who ate the food at my house was extremely disappointed, the owner of the business said that I was "illiterate and stupid". I think he was attempting to say that I didn't know about Mexican food, but he didn't know the meaning of the word "illiterate". I asked "Are you saying that I can't read?" He was clearly confused by that and it was obvious that he was just trying to insult me but was failing to do so because we clearly weren't talking about reading or literature. The owner of this store was quite possibly the rudest and most incompetent business person I have ever come across. The fact that he was attempting to insult my understanding of food by calling me "illiterate" only highlighted his lack of compassion to a dissatisfied customer. The fact that he was shoveling my order into his mouth and being agitated and aggressive further illustrates his lack of understanding. In summary, Cholitas is the worst restaurant I have ever visited. I'll remember this experience forever and continuously tell everyone I know about the owner and how poor he treats patrons in his restaurant as well as how the food is the worst available in Wichita. I'll make sure to never visit this establishment again.

Had not been here for awhile, and it was horrible. Not nearly as good as years past. We ordered takeout and the tacos were so greasy they were literally floating in grease, almost no cheese on the tacos. The overall taste was just bad. sorry, won't be back again.

The total disrespect to Mexicans and Mexican food and for certain non Mexican to have the audacity to call this authentic is disrespectful. Be real this is American version of what they think Mexican food is

The tamales are the worst we've had. All masa, very little meat. We'll be ordering our tamales from Delia's in Texas. Pricey, but totally delicious. And, we cooked half of the dozen we ordered. Threw the rest in the trash. Nasty tamales...

I know this place has their fans and following, but I don't get it. I met a buddy for lunch today and he chose Cholitas. Outside of Chico's, this is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Bland, unseasoned, pre packaged, warmed up food. That's how it taste anyways. Prices are typical for the type of place it is, but the food is below even fast food standards. No bueno.

Food is good most of the time. Service is adequate most of the time. Problem is it's not consistent. Sometimes you're important & sometimes overlooked. Also the place needs a serious remodel. Part of it is cold and too bright. Feels like a church basement. Update needed badly!
