I have used Chisholm Trail Animal Hospital since it opened in the 70's. After getting my dog spayed last week by one of the new vets, and getting a heartworm test a few days ago, I got a letter today saying they would no longer provide me services because of my "behavior." I was not hateful or abusive to anyone! The original team was wonderful, but the people there now are not. Well, Lori Mitchell is still good. I'm not sure who or how I offended! I will say that the waits are long for appointments, and the prices are pretty high. Dan Thompson was a friend. I'm sorry he retired.

Chisholm Trail Animal Hospital is probably my favorite animal clinic in the Wichita area. I like that they have four different doctors, each fantastic in her own right. Typically, if you're unable to see a certain doctor, you can get into another within a reasonable amount of time. I love the amount of options they have for treating your animal. They offer hydrotherapy, laser treatment, physical therapy, and of course medical maintenance and overall health care. The staff has always been a joy to be around. They are very caring towards my animals. The technicians treat my animals as if they were their own. The doctors are upfront but also compassionate about what needs to take place with each animal. They take their time and explain things to me so that I can understand them. The front staff is also very respectful and knowledgeable. They always have a smile on their faces and are willing to help. I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic to anyone.

We decided to go elsewhere for animal care after using Chisholm Trail for some 30+ years. We have found that in the last few years things have changed. It is impossible to get your dog seen if they are sick. They are great with preventative care but when the animal is actually sick, they will not work them in. We began to feel the emergency vet was our primary doctor and that Chisholm Trail was where you go for shots. It is sad that it has come to this but we have left and moved on to another clinic that hopefully will care about treating our animals when they are both well and sick.

Had to bring my dog in for a growth on her hind leg. They were very friendly and gentle with her. Normally when she goes to the Vet she get scared and upset but she wasn't when going there. Dr.Daniel Thompson operated on her and removed the tumor and all went good. We had to go back three times for bandages changes, remove stitches and a checkup. He also called a week after the last checkup to check on her. This really showed how he cared about her health to me. Operation, testing, overnight stay, two bandage visits and Medicines total about $600. Thanks Dr. Thompson and Chisholm Trail Medical Hospital for all your care.

We are longtime customers. We feel like our pets have always been in good hands here. Maybe not the cheapest place but certainly not as expensive as Valley Center or other Wichita locations we've been to.

All this place does is milk you, don't come here it may have been good back in the day but not anymore, had a vet tech essentially tell me I'd be lucky if my golden retriever lives more than four years because it didn't cost thousands of dollars. And if your dog is actually sick they can get you in a few days later at best. F this place

I made an appt to bring my cat in because he was unable to keep his food down. When I got to the clinic, I accidentally forgot my mask and asked if it was okay to go back home to retrieve it, since I only live 1 mile from the clinic. The office staff said I would have to reschedule my appt and I stated I didn't have the time to take off, due to having exhausted it for cancer problems. She said I still had to reschedule. When I left and was almost out the door, she hollered "Sorry about that!", but I can tell you it was NOT sincere. I replied back, "I doubt it", and she stated "Have a nice day!" Most people know what "Have a nice day" really means. To the veterinarians who occupy this clinic - if you wish to have repeat business, you might want to look into hiring someone who's professional and possesses compassion. There was NO valid reason for this unprofessional behavior. NONE.

We have used Chisholm Trail Vets all the way back to 1980s. Really liked the old vet team but as the years and pets passed, I started to question. My last experience was 15 year old cat with simple thyroid deficiency. It should have been obvious to me but I trusted the vet tech's blood work but I was never told thyroid...There were other issues too about the care for my dogs too. But if your older cat starts to drop weight fast, do make sure thyroid is included on the testing. One vet visit at the last, "Do you want me to kill it?" My poor cat had lost so much weight she was 1/2 size at 6lbs and but tearing around happily and jumping so I was okay as long as she was in no pain. I just wanted to check out a limp which the vet technicians nicely agreed to x-ray for me. Nothing was wrong inside, I just made it easier to get onto the couch and bed...Now that whole DR's office has switched over, if you wonder, you probably should get a second opinion...

Again, CTAH is awesome. However, it's very sad that they let Dr. Cindy-Payne Robertson out of their grasp.
