Chinese Food Express

One of the few places that serves tofu. The Hunan tofu is a spicy delicious dinner. Love that there are vegetarian and vegan options. It is hard to find them in this town.

Food is Decent if you don't find hair in it. Terrible service. You could hear the owners of the restaurant screaming in the back the entire time, treating their employees very badly. Do not recommend

Surprisingly good food! Tucked away on 13/Main, it was a great stop to break the monotony of the usual suspects in Hays America. Although the Szechwan didn't have the heat that I was expecting, it was good. The egg rolls were probably the best I've had. All in, I'm making this a regular stop unless the stellar service pushes me away.

Not on the menu, but you have to order the Ham Fried Rice. They accept cash and check and it is a small family restuaruant. Great tasting food. To the lady who rated it low needs to realize it is a family Chinese resturant not PF Changs.

The Chinese food here is excellent. The service is excellent. They do not accept credit cards cash only but other than that great food and great service.

My bf & I came to visit his parents who reside in Hays. I'm Filipino-Chinese who lives near the many Chinese restaurants in SoCal, not to mention I originally came from Asia so I know my Chinese food hahaha. My picture that I attatched shouldserve as a proof that I'm Asian.. my eyebags are bigger than my eyes. LOL. Anyway, I had Chinese food yesterday from a mall. Although the taste was alright, their sweet & sour chicken is all breading, I had to toss that out. My bf's mom took me to Chinese Food Express for lunch today & not only was the service very friendly, their food is really very good! We got almond chicken & sweet&sour chicken. Those were so good I had to come back to get to go food for tonight's dinner! The sweet & sour chicken has REAL chunks of chicken & the breading is very crispy, it's even better than the ones they serve in Chinatown or San Gabriel area in SoCal!!!

The only reason I'm leaving a one star rating is because it won't allow me to not give a star rating, otherwise it would be zero. I have never had an issue with this place until today. They gave me the wrong order and when I called to notify them, they proceeded to argue with me about what I ordered. I know what I ordered because I order the same thing every time. The order which I was given I don't like and it looks very unappealing. They made no attempt at rectifying the situation. I'm highly dissatisfied and will no longer be ordering from here. It's too bad that they are willing lose customers over their misunderstanding. So now I'm out $15 and don't get to eat lunch because I had to get back to work.

Local family owned, operated, and one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants of all time. They only accept cash or check, so come prepared - they also do delivery within city limits. My favorites are the Crab Rangoon, Eggrolls, and General Tso's Chicken. Any dish can also be prepared extra spicy if you like.

I had the Vegetable Deluxe for lunch today. Lots of stringy celery that will not chew up and has to be spit out. Same thing with what I think is chinese cabbage just not quite as bad. Not much broccoli and only a trace of shredded carrot - my 2 favorites.

Tom is the greatest. He subs Tofu into all my dishes and gives me my sauces ( curry ) ( Ginger) thank you Tom! Oh. And they introduced me to sriratcha sauce long before it was popular!!! Love this restaurant!
