China Star Restaurant Express & Buffet

The buffet is for lunch before 3 pm. I ordered seaweed salad, Mixed Tempura and Dragon Roll for dinner. All for less than $30. The salad was good and the Dragon Roll (with eels) was decent. The only dish that was not up to my taste was the heavily battered Tempura, and not recommended. The restaurant is very spacious

Best crab Rangoon I've had in a while, crispy and creamy. This place is very mom and pop. Disposable silver wear. Booths and tables. A woman rolling sushi and two little girls playing off to the side at a small counter behind the counter. It felt very cozy and nostalgic, super cute. I appreciated their business

Service was great our glasses were never empty, all buffets tables were loaded and fresh.

Hands down my favorite Chinese food in and around Mac. Especially since they started having the lunch buffet every day! I can't pick a favorite dish because they are all amazing and everyone is so friendly! And I feel like the food is a good value. Highly recommend!!

Very good buffet!! The have great sushi and boba tea as well. Very friendly family owned. 10/10 recommend

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Hutchinson/McPherson areas. I recommend the Mongolian Beef and Vegetable Lo Mein for sure, but I have had nothing here I don't like yet. Atmosphere is not much for dining in, but I don't mind that. All disposable service ware, self-serve drinks, it almost feels like an indoor food truck really. I think most of their business must be take out orders, as that is generally the traffic I see coming and going. I don't know if they even do the buffet any more, I've never seen it open and their priced are great for ordering from the menu. Food is made to order, and served hot. The staff is always super pleasant, and smiling. Maybe a little difficulty understanding English? Not sure, but I've never had an issue with them.

Phenomenal small chinese restaurant. Service was quick and polite, and the food was hot and you were served a lot. I got the General Tso's chicken and my friend got orange chicken and their potstickers and we couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Not to mention the prices aren't bad at all. 10/10 recommend
