China Restaurant

We were in Hugoton for just one night. Other than fast food restaurants, there are not many choices on Sunday night. However, this restaurant did not disappoint. We shared the Hunan Shrimp, which was good, and the egg rolls which were ok. The shrimp were large and numerous and the veggies tender and plentiful -- all with a nice black bean sauce. If I am ever in town again, I'd come back to try some other items on the menu.

We stopped for lunch while traveling a long, long way. Ambience: not so great, but the lunch buffet was really pretty good. The staff person? Owner? Asked what we would like made hot and whipped up fresh dishes for the buffet. Two people, two buffets, and one drink later the tab was o lay about 16.00. For all you cared to consume. If you get a hankering for Chine in western Kansas, it's not a bad deal. The fortune cookies that came with the bill were perhaps either written by someone not so good at translating, or a genius. One read: attitude is more port than facts. The second read: remember there is a path at the end of the road. At first I thought they were just bad, but then I recalled the 2 hours of CNN in the car that went on and on about the Trump/ Clinton/Sanders situation. Maybe they were genius.

One of the best Chinese food places in the area. They appear to use all fresh ingredients and chop everything themselves. Love the egg rolls!

The food at China is plentiful, fresh and fast. The two of order 2 entrees and we have Chinese for 3 days! Last time I asked if I could get sweet and sour chicken with sauted instead of breaded and fried meat. It is not fried in cashew chicken for instance. I was told they cannot do that. The clerk was very sure it was not an option. She was polite but firm.

They were not that friendly. The food didn't taste very good. The lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles. They got my Fathers order wrong.

Super fast service whether dining in or ordering to go. Have yet to try an entrée that I don't like. Employees are all very friendly.

Good solid Chinese food. Beef is chewy but all the chicken and veggie dishes are really good. The family that owns it are very friendly and accommodating. Service is wonderful. Bill is always very reasonable. We eat here regularly when we are in town pheasant hunting. It's hard to find a place that makes 7-8 hungry guys happy. This place does every time.

Don't let the "gas station chinese food" fool you. This place is a gem. Great fresh food, good prices and friendly owners.
