Chapala Restaurant

Today I was at this wonderful restaurant. Very good service, friendly atmosphere, tasty food

Decent place to eat in the Oklahoma Panhandle which has very few eateries other than fast food. It is incredibly clean and the service was impeccable. The food was good - not great and not terrible. Compared to Texas. Arizona and New Mexico Mexican its about a 3 but considering its in the Oklahoma Panhandle and lack of much else its worth stopping for a bite to eat...

My first time through hooker and let me just say there is ABSOLUTELY nothing in this town. Every restaurant we went too was either closed down or dead. Chapala's had a lot of cars in the parking lot so I figured the food has to be good and I was correct. The plates are HUGE and so flavorful. I figured I was going to write a review and didn't think about pictures when our food came out, so by the time I did remember we had already ate most our food. The lady didn't speak English but luckily my husband did and she was very polite and friendly. She checked on us a few times which was enough when drinks got low she was right there to refill but also not too much where she was annoying. I would travel to Hooker just to eat at Chapala's again.

If you're looking for great Ambiance, this is not the place. But if you want some good homemade Mexican food this is the place. My wife had carne asada tacos and I had the al pastor tacos and we recommend both of them. My kids both had American food (hamburger and chicken nuggets with tater tots) they have and that seemed okay as well. It would be five stars if the bathrooms were better maintained and the tortillas were a wee bit less greasy.

Stopped here on a whim when passing through while out geocaching. Good food at a reasonable price.

Friendly, food served hot. Huge portions. Good fresh salsa and chips. Omeltes are good w side of biscuits and gravy. Mmm chicken tacos were good. Taco salad too greasy

The service was friendly and the staff seemed happy. The place was clean. We got combination platters with ground beef in the tacos & enchiladas- was disappointed that the ground beef did not have any seasoning- tasted like just plain ground beef. Neither of us cared for the tamale, which we normally live tamales.

On a road trip from Arizona and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. One of the best homemade tacos i have had in a while. 10/10 recommend to anyone that is craving mexican food around here. Get their carne asada tacos!!! You wont regret it

Very good Mexican food. Their salsa is wonderful and great chips. The green chili cheese burger also very good. Have not tried everything on the menu, yet but I will. Breakfast was also very good. The best thing is they are consistent. Very good food every time.
