Central Glass & Mirror

Tried to sell me a $770 shower door that I could have got at Home Depot for $200. Then when I said I didn't like it told me that that was all I could get because I bought a cheap shower stall. Completely wasted my time.

We had a glass shower door that we were unable to close because it was jamming against the metal frame at the bottom of the door, so it was in a fully opened position, no further than about 10% closed. I called a couple of glass companies to come out to fix it. They were unsure of what the problem might be since there were several physical factors at play between the frame parts and the glass itself. One company declined to attempt a repair, not sure of a decent remedy. The other company said that we would likely have to replace the glass and frame all together, since the vertical hinge seemed to be defective. Replacing everything would be several hundred dollars.Then I remembered having used Central Glass before on a couple of projects over the years and had simply forgotten about them in my initial search. So I took pictures of the glass enclosure and went down to their shop and showed them. Jarod is their shower door expert, so I talked to him. From the pictures, he noticed that the top of the glass was not even with the top of the long vertical channel that the glass sits in and that the vertical channel also appeared to have a deteriorated hinge that runs the length of the glass's vertical channel. He said, "We should be able to fix that, no problem." He quoted me $125 plus parts to come out and remove it, take it to their shop, and return to install it. Or I could remove the glass door and bring it to them for repair and pick it up myself when done (for half that, meaning they would just be charging me for the labor plus parts, at their shop). Obviously it was well worth it for me not to have to remove and transport it to them and have it returned after the repair. Parts were only $17, so I was extremely pleased to have this done quickly and efficiently with a very skilled crew of two installers to execute the job at my home. They obviously have the customer's best interest at heart. I also reflected on the other times Central did glass repair/replacements for me, which were very fairly priced and done in the same professional manner. I kinda kicked myself for calling the other two companies first, having forgotten about Central (my 77 year old brain failing me :-) Don't hesitate to use them. One phone call will solve your problem and at a very fair price. Thanks to Jarod and Central's extremely gracious and responsive front desk receptionist who fielded my calls and followed up with updates, in process.

Don't show up when scheduled. Bring the wrong materials. Don't follow up. Sorry-ass motherfuckers. Do not recommend.

We did a bathroom remodel and they came to measure for a shower door. Come to find out, they waited two weeks before ordering it!

The Central Glass & Mirror Co. was substantial cheaper than the competition. They came over this morning replaced three panes of glass where the seal had gone out. They were courtesy, clean, efficient and quite expeditious. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Wichita area.

I contacted Central Mirror & Glass to do a big commercial job for me- which they greatly disappointed me in. They had to come out to the job 4 times to measure, it took them 7 months from when I contacted them to complete the job (that isn't even fully completed) and I had multiple arguments with Shelley for them missing things in quotes, not getting measurements right, and forgetting multiple pieces throughout the process. After 7 months of headaches- they still could not complete the job. One piece of glass had to be re ordered and after talking an hour on the phone about it they ignored to order it because "I didn't reply to an email." Also charged me for that glass and kept it saying that I had to find a different glass company to pick it up and that I "couldn't do it myself." All around atrocious experience and Shelley should find a different job that doesn't involve talking to customers, because she is extremely rude and does not have any manners. So if you are looking for a company that will argue, misquote, take extended amounts of time, and then still try and blame the customer for their mistakes- then hire them! I'm sure they do fine on single window replacements, but if you are looking to do commercial work... RUN!!!

Great company, did everything perfect, showed up on time, repairs were done correctly and at a very reasonable price. Remember you get what you pay for.

I used Central Glass and Mirror for several projects in my home and they were so professional! From the front office to the guys that came out to install they were amazing! The prices were very comparable to all of the other places I called and even cheaper than most! I would recommend them to everyone! I can't say enough honestly they are great!
