Carthage Inn

Let me start off saying it's a Quite little hotel now that was the only perk. The rooms were quite dirty their was more bodily fluids on the mattress protectors than in a XXX movie. secondly someones dirty clothes were left piled up next to the TV cabinet. We had to hunt down our pillows and put our own pillow cases on them as they left us a pile on one of the beds. When I addressed these issues with the girl at the front desk she seemed unbothered by it like it was the norm for them.

Place was a DUMP! Staff refused to accommodate my mobility handicap and open one of the ground floor rooms. My second floor room was at the top of the most rickety stairs I've ever seen in the US.My bathroom fan was rusted and inoperable, the light fixture was gone from the shower area and over the sink counter.I bought some food from the local store but wouldn't dare put it in the stinky refrigerator and expect to safely eat it later.The whole place looked like it had been abandoned in the 1970's! The potholes in the parking lot are about 50% of the surface and deep enough to ALMOST made me dump my motorcycle. If I hadn't pushed hard all day I would have/should have kept riding further.Creepy, dirty, low point of an 8,000 mile ride. The ABSOLUTE WORST room rented in two months.

I would not recommend the Carthage Inn to anybody that needs the place to stay in Carthage. It's not worth it due to the fact that the people that run it are rude and hateful, he called me a liar and said it's customers like you that I hate, he raised his voice at me talk down to me and treated me like I was crap. I give this motel a big fat ZERO, until they get someone better to run it. Only putting 1 start just so I can post this.

Owners are very sweet and friendly! Rooms are spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great water pressure in shower! Really can't beat it for the price! Will def stay here again!

It's been nice staying here, friendly staff and nice rooms and and great price. No druggies to run off, a heck of a lot better than staying in Joplin.
