Carl's is a fun place to drink and eat. The food is great and the servers are wonderful.

Love jumping on the bike and and taking the short trip from Wichita to Carl's....definitely worth it!! Great burgers/sandwiches, great drink options, great environment, and great service!!! Yes, I'd say it's GREAT!!!

Well, shucks! Made my first visit to Carl's last Friday after being an occasional visitor to Hutchinson for the past 34 years. Our visits have always been rushed and the time to enjoy the "flavors of Hutch" have been minimal . . . although I've made it into most of the local eateries several times each over the years. So, Carl, I apologize for the neglect.We went with friends after the HHS homecoming game. Here's what I saw and liked. First, location, location, location! As a child of the 50s and 60s I enjoy old downtowns that still have life after 6 p.m. Carl's is a great repurposing of a turn-of-the-century edifice. The millwork in the bar area is impressive, for sure. I hate malls, strip malls, chain restaurants, millennial chrome, polished granite and corporate menus, ad nauseam . . .. . . along with servers who all dress alike and answer every question with "absolutely!" All of Carl's servers, uniquely attired, were knowledgeable, friendly and prompt, without being gratuitously in the way.My Maker's Manhattan was well mixed, and I won't kick that it was "shaken not stirred," since Carl's is more beer joint than cocktail lounge.Bar food is bar food. I had to chuckle at some of the other reviews. Carl's is a sports bar in Hutchinson for chrissake. I doubt they're hunting Michelin stars. The four of us were totally satisfied with the sandwiches, burgers and sides delivered to our table. In fact, my homemade potato salad was surprisingly good. Kudos for the build-your-own features on sandwiches, burgers and pizzas.Price points are fair. I eat a lot in Kansas City and cities around the country and leave way more cash on the tables of restaurants that please me far less.Carl and crew, I'm glad I found you. "Ah'll be back!"

Great bar it has exceptional pizza,Reuben,sandwiches,fries.Has a great atmosphere and lots of tv's to watch the big game.The pizza is not greasy and has a great taste.The wait staff work as a group to serve everybody. I would I highly recommend this establishment.

If you're ever in Hutch, this is a must stop. We were home for the holidays and did a sibling lunch stop here one afternoon. My brother and husband particularly enjoy the beer fridge and the selection they have. This is a small place, so come early or late as the lunch hour is high traffic! I had a reuben (because they have the BEST one in town). It was so delicious, and just as I remember. The service is great here, and if you grew up here chances are you'll see someone you know. It's also a great spot over the holidays for some cocktails in the evening when it's time for a break from the fam. Carl's never disappoints!

I like this place and their foods. Good sandwiches and burgers are pretty delicious too. I usually come here 2 or 3 times in a month.

Great place in downtown Hutch to meet friends for drinks and dinner. Carl's has a nice casual bar atmosphere. The sandwiches and hamburgers are always a good choice here. There is a good selection of beers on tap however it would be nice to see a list of them in a menu. It was really great to find a local beer on tap, the Salt City IPA is fantastic.

This is one of our favorite burger places. They also have wonderful build it yourself sandwiches, that you can drag through the garden (add greens). Beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Fantastic potato salad. Great for the whole family.

Love the selection of drinks at the full bar and the wide variety of beers (in the bottle--the on-tap list is alright, but not special). The waitstaff is usually good, but sometimes not so attentive, even at the bar. The environment is open and friendly. I like the long room as if we were in Lawrence or someplace more historic. The food, however, is not great at all. It seems most of it is prepackaged and heated up. Someone told me they served bar food, so I ordered nachos. OMG, they brought out a plastic tray of round tortilla chips with the little compartment of nacho cheese, like at the ball park!! And for a stupid price like $6!! I'm convinced the pizza is a frozen cheese pizza with some toppings added before they stick it in the oven. If it's not, the pizza is just tastes like it. Just weird to me. Sandwiches are ok with an ok selection of what to put on the bread.They might consider dropping "delicatessen" from their name and this would be a great bar that happens to serve munchies. Advertising as a bar AND deli gives you the idea you can get good food too. So the deal is this...go in, drink til you don't notice what you're munching on and all's well! I'm still going in and tipping well.

Good was really good but wait staff is horrible. Had to hold my daughter's glass up for at least 3min before someone came to ask if I needed something and she was rude. Had to go to the bar with empty glass for my husband to get a refill. All 4 waitresses were standing at the end of the bar not doing a damn thing when I walked up they walked off. Was snotty about giving me a refill on his beer. If I have to go up to the bar to get me a refill I want a discount on my ticket. There's literally 4 tables so they are not busy at all.
