"Don't knock it until you try it. Salmon skin salad is so good here. Perfect blend of marinated salmon skin and crispy vegetables with ginger dressing."
"Stopped in for lunch and was impressed at the lunch menu. Great pricing on hibachi, and sushi so we choose to do both. The food came out quickly and we had barely finished our beef broth soup. The soup was very hot and had a lot of flavor. The hibachi wasn't too salty and the veggies were perfection... I don't think that I've ever loved broccoli until today. The server checked on us periodically but the pace was relaxed and the overall vibe is peaceful. Will come again next time we're in the area."

"Please do not be fool by the good pictures. I was disappointed and not impressed by the rolls. The sashimi plate were not as fresh except for the salmon. The sashimi fish were put on top of little tree branches which were not clean. The rolls were filled with too much rice and cucumbers. It barely had any avocado/fish/crab. The rolls were not put together properly. I watched the lady rolled the sushi and she did a sloppy job. The shrimp tempura was stale and had the freezer aftertaste. I will not come back here again. I realized a lot of people had good reviews but they are most likely came in to eat for fried rice, bento and hibachi food, not for their sushi. They said up to 50% of sushi but really it is not any cheaper than other sushi place. If you want good sushi, do not come here."
"Downtown already with my boys, I brought them here for early dinner. Walking in, the host told us it would be a 30-minute wait. He told the people behind us the same thing, but yet we were still seated within five minutes. SCORE.With an impressive selection of rolls to choose from, my kids went nuts...and ordered California Rolls. Oh well, I'll teach them culture eventually. As for me, I went with Eel and Avocado, Spicy Tuna, and Spicy Salmon. I've had Sushi all around the world and simply know what I like. This was very good.Service was good, food was stellar, and my kids were happy. Is there a better experience?"
"OMG this little place is so very amazing !! The sushi I had was delish great menu, I look forward to coming back here again. I want to try their Ramon"
"Service was great. She did an excellent job of keeping up with the drinks and getting orders in. Decor is nice and it was inviting. You don't really care about you want to know was the food good. Well it just wasn't good it was really first rate and great. Would we go back. Yes most definitely we will be back. Over all this was worth the money and the time. I do suggest getting the Smurf of Fire before you order because as a dessert it had a punch and then the Smurf punched back."
"I'm impressed. Actually, I'm blown away! My mom and I were in Stillwater for a baseball game and we were craving anything besides burgers and bbq (no-offense)... we were surprised to find this new concept/fast casual poke restaurant. I was amazed by the quality! I've had poke in Hawaii so my standards have been set pretty high.... this place is probably the best I've had in Oklahoma! Hands down. The ambience was welcoming and modern. And the customer service was outstanding! Their menu is simple but at the same time, the options vary so your taste buds can go on a sushi/poke adventure! I had the sushi burrito (I've only had these out-of-state so I was excited to see one on the menu) and wow, that first bite blew my mind! It was super crispy, savory and fresh! Adding wonton chips was genius!!! And you get a lot of food for only $10. My mom had some shrimp tempura & miso soup and she enjoyed it! She said the miso soup was full of flavor! If I was a college kid in Stillwater, I be a regular! It's that good and I would want to try everything on the menu! Go ahead and give Nooki a try if you're in the area!"
"Great food, very fast service, good prices as well. Chill out atmosphere, just parking is tricky to find. Tried their chicken and Salmon hibachi, very tasty. Enough food for the price."
"The restaurant was nice the waiter very nice the food. The flavor has left the building. Not sure what they were thinking of. They needed a little more into their food right now."
"Sat down and immediately was asked for our order. Quick service and friendly demeanor by the waitress. She did a great job by keeping her glasses full and our orders filled quickly."

I have been to the west-side location twice now, and have been impressed with the quality of both the food and service. The facility was clean and very comfortable with nice atmosphere. I'm prefer real sushi, so not big on rolls; however they do have some that peaked my interest and taste. The sashimi portions were above average, and very fresh, especially for Wichita. The only downside was they do not have quail egg, and like every other sushi restaurant in Wichita, no uni. I have to put it in with my top three places in Wichita. Kudos

The best Hibachi in Manhattan! I recently came to this restaurant for a friends' birthday with a party of 10. We were sat with a family that had younger children and the hibachi chef made it a point to entertain everyone at the table. At the beginning of the meal the kids were intimidated but the Chef made it a point to entertain the kids. By the end they were laughing at the chef's jokes and catching shrimp. A great place to take the family for a nice dinner. The food was good for the price. I'd recommend adding an extra side of rice and sharing one dinner entree with a partner. For the birthday celebration we got to ring the gong and the celebrated party member received a beautiful set of noodle bowls and chopsticks free of charge. Each one was uniquely decorated and a very nice gesture from the restaurant. I would highly recommend the hibachi experience at Umis!

I got the chicken and steak hibachi. The steak was just okay but very "chewy" and the chicken didn't have much flavor. Fried rice wasn't bad hence the two stars. My husband got the maki platter sushi and wasn't impressed either. We had to ask for beverage refills too. They were very friendly though. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back.

Sakura (original Harry and Rock location) has a soft spot in my heart because it's the first place I ever tried sushi and grew to love it.There are many options to choose from: sushi, noodle dishes, fried rice and what I enjoy the most, the ramen.Their ramen is delicious! I always get the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen. Their perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs and charred pork belly is so tasty! The spicy broth is very flavorful and has a complexity that sets theirs apart from many other restaurants I've tried. The food is always consistent which all diners can appreciate. I also add a tuna or salmon temaki or any of their specialty rolls to enjoy with the ramen. There is only one chef and one front of the house, so the wait will be longer. They are still social distancing with tables which limits capacity. You'll need to arrive we'll before closing time because you may get turned away because the tables are full. The lady who runs the front of the house works very hard and is attentive to the customers needs and ensures they have plenty of water.Price is comparable to other Japanese or sushi restaurants in Wichita. Definitely give them a try!

Cool place. Loved the interior. Outside seating is available as well. Lots of hosts/hostesses meant that we were seated very quickly. We tried the pan seared gyoza, two rolls, and the salmon entrée. All entrées come with rice and two sides so we ordered fried potatoes and and egg rolls. The fried potatoes were an odd choice but really delicious. The gyoza was good and my roll, Wonder Woman was really very tasty. I would order it again. But, I would also order one of the entrées like the chicken katsu because it's really a good value.Definitely will be back.

Pretty good poke bowls! We went at 5:30pm on a Friday night and it was pretty busy for a rainy evening. The only thing the place was lacking was maybe some music playing in the background. HEADS UP: this is not a full service restaurant - you order your food at the counter and they build it in front of you (bowls and burritos), for the sides and sushi rolls they give you a number and bring it to your table.

"I love it here!! Food is amazing!! The service was great! The waitress was soooo nice. Compliments to the chef Luis. Will definitely be a regular here."
"Nice quiet dinner. The sushi and service was good. But just sorta quiet. They do a lot of Uber eats and to go orders as I could tell."
"Eh a solid three in Kansas is probably a five all things considered for sushi. Service was prompt and thorough. I ordered edamame, and egg rolls and two sushi rolls. Egg rolls were deep fried and tasty but greasy in a good way. The $5 plum saki was ok. Edamame was as expected. The two rolls looked good but they just didn't hit the spot. I left all but two bites of the deep fried roll behind. Tasted like sausage inside. That was oddNothing terrible but I wouldn't come back. By 7pm it was getting busy on a Wednesday night."
"Great rolls, excellent lemon drop and wonderful service. Glad to have found this spot after being disappointed by not being able to get barbeque."
"I finally had the chance to try Miya Izakaya after it opened in August. The food was well seasoned and flavorful. I know many friends said it was salty when it first opened; sounds like they were receptive to the feedback and adjusted their recipes. The food did come out fast, but the chicken wasn't piping hot. Which leads me believe that it's not cooked to order. Since the chicken wasn't freshly out the fryer, it didn't have that double fried super crispy crunch that Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) typically has. Of course all KFC places aren't the same, maybe this is their version of it and that's completely fine. The jalapeño and soy flavors were difficult to distinguish. They offer a variety of sauces/flavors. Their galbi flavor looks delicious and hoping to try that next time. The mochi donuts that replaced the fries were yummy! I'd order just that and be satisfied. Light and fluffy rolled in sugar. I liked the slaw that was paired with it to have a different flavor profile. We had 2 sushi rolls beautifully presented. The fish cuts were thick and proportioned to the size of the roll. Flavor was good, nothing too special. Our server was timid and spoke softly. He brought out soy sauce and little bit of ginger and wasabi. We asked for more and each time was brought back the same tiny tiny portion. I'd like to try it again and ask for the chicken to be freshly cooked, which I think would change a lot for me. Would be great to have a bone bag or plate. Prices were reasonable. I am happy that there is finally a place that offers KFC and know that they are still working out the kinks. I also found it kinda odd that they handed us a pen and paper that said "Review Us". Maybe have that option presented in the checkbook or have a review system on the iPad for staff to encourage customers to complete it?"
"Nice adult atmosphere. Food / cocktails are excellent. Check out the Salina mural in the back dining room"
"Simple stop right off I-70.Our 8-pack of California Rolls was less than $5!The portions are huge!!The "salad" is a meager attempt to offer vegetables, although I appreciate it still. It was mostly iceberg lettuce. Pretty bland. The flavor of the general chicken and the chicken kabobs were great! The fried rice was almost 100% plain rice - not very flavorful."
"we really enjoyed all the good food here. hubby did a flight of whiskey which he really enjoyed."
"I come from Kansas City and I am working in Salina temporarily. I have been here twice and I really enjoy it. I haven't got to try everything on the menu yet but their sushi is top notch and I really enjoy the chicken fried udon entree. The service is great, and it hasn't ever been a long wait to pick up my food. We have many great places like this in KC, so I am extremely happy to find this place here during my 3 month stint. Honestly this place could move and open to KC and probably put several places out of business. The only negative I would give is- a larger portion of wasabi for the sushi order. I have no problem asking for it, and I will going forward. PS: a must eat if in Salina and you like this type of food. She does an amazing job and always smiling."
"The food is amazing here. This is by far, our favorite sushi place. We love the Xoxo roll, the unagi roll, and the Mexican Bubble roll. The service is quick and friendly. We are regulars here and you should be too."
"Delicious food! Clean and friendly atmosphere. Don't pass through Liberal KS and miss this place. Great service."
"I had the udon noodles and a couple rolls of sushi - all delivered by a great waitress. Awesome atmosphere and amazing food. If their dine in experience is this good, hibachi must be even better. I will be going back."
"Quick service! Almost too fast my food was good! Cashier lady was really nice. The inside is kept nice and clean."
"I enjoyed my meal so much last night (Buffet), that I decided to order off the menu tonight and take out, to bring back and enjoy at the hotel watching TV.I ordered the hot & sour soup...of course...!!! It was perfect. I also ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young, also one of my favorite dishes. It was equally as good. I also ordered the Pork chop Suey...I knew better, but ordered it anyway... way too much food for me to finish, but it was good also.My meal was perfect, prepared well, packed to go nicely...service with a smile. A good meal once again. So my advice...give these guys a try...!!!"
"Friendly and clean. We went here because my wife had tried a sample at the Bridal Fair. We are always down for some good Hawaiian cuisine. Stacy greeted us and said they were out of Huli Huli chicken but was making more if we could wait about 15 minutes which we did. She said they had been busy and sold out of most of their stuff. We also ordered the teriyaki beef. I got the Hawaiian fried rice which was fantastic. All the food was awesome from the rice to the macaroni salad to the main dishes. We will definitely be going back to try more of the menu. Prices were very good for the amount of food you get."
