"Not sure why such average reviews... I eat here several times a year, and always enjoy their wide variety of offerings, attentive service, fair price and clean atmosphere. For the price, it's a wonderful place to eat!"
"Ordered lunch for my husband and me. It was delivered within 20 minutes and was piping hot! The food was delicious! We will definitely be ordering more from here in the future."
"I've been to a couple other Chinese restaurants in town and haven't been overly impressed. Walking in to Chuan Wei I wasn't expecting much. The interior is in need of some updating. The menu selections are typical Chinese restaurant fare and the prices are reasonable. The plates they set down in front of you, however, are actually great looking, not just dumped on a plate like so many restaurants. The food is outstanding. I've looked a long time for a decent hot and sour soup and it's delicious here. I've been here 3 different times, gotten 3 different entrees and have loved every one. Definitely a must stop when craving Chinese in Woodward, OK."
"It's hot or miss. Sometimes it is very good and sometimes it tastes like leftovers reheated. The fried rice is more like Spanish rice."
"What a quaint little place - completely unexpected. Wonderful coffee selection and yummy pastries with a cute gift shop on the side. Can't wait to go back!"
"I'm a French fry person. I judge an eating establishment by the quality of its French fries.Cobbs obviously has more than one cook. Some French fries come to the table properly cooked--a little crunchy and very little grease--cooked to perfection! On another day the French fries arrive limp, wimpy and greasy--almost inedible.Cobbs menu has a wide variety of items--we've tried many of them and have found all items to be quite tasty. All in all, a good family restaurant with quite reasonable prices. The workers are over worked but yet retain a friendly attitude--they deserve a good tip!"
"The menu here isn't very extensive, but everything they make tastes great and they literally make you feel like family the whole time you are there. They come out and talk to you and make sure you are satisfied. It's kind of off the beaten path, and so they don't get as much business as they SHOULD. Shame on the people that live in this town -- they had to reduce their menu offerings quite a bit because they don't do well based on their location. But in such a small town where everyone knows each other, there is no excuse. Boomers, please solicit this business more!"
"In addition to popping up in my research of Topeka, The Wheel Barrel was also recommended by a local shop owner. We walked in and chose a seat at the far end of the first dining area. A table with a booth on the side against the wall, and chairs on the other side. We started with an appetizer of the House seasoned kettle chips and craft beer queso. It was goooood. The chips were SO good, we actually took the ones we didn't finish with us to go. Next, we ordered our sammiches. My wife chose the Award Winning Monte Cristo, and I went with The Kansan. My wife loved her sammich. But mine... well, mine left me momentarily speechless. The cheese pull was insane! Every single ingredient combined for an incredible flavor explosion in my mouth. Without a doubt one of the best sammiches I've ever had. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. We were visiting from California, but would absolutely return to The Wheel Barrel the next time we visited Topeka."
"Made reservations and was wondering why 630 was the only option. This is a five course meal that starts at 6:30 when you're done eating that's it for the night. There's a drinks menu, but no food menu, chef decides what you are eating for the evening. Guess that's called a fixed menu. Neat Bldg w historical pictures. Food was excellent, live music was a bit loud for me but nice. Chef Jeff opened the evening discussing the menu. Wait staff seemed a little short handed as drink service was mediocre. We came out with another couple and wanted a couple drinks, didn't really happen. Started w deviled eggs a bit too sweet for me, homemade tomato bisque that was excellent, fresh greens served family style, main course was beef tenderloin with a brown gravy, rolls and slightly cheesy mashed potatoes. Tender was amazing, cooked perfect and very tender. Potatoes were just ok. Rolls were nice and I did enjoy the Melba toast like croutons that came with the soup and salad.Desert was Chantilly cake. Moist and soft w fruit and slight edge of creamy frosting so not too sweet. Coffee would have been nice but not offered.Chef Jeff came around and helped clear dishes and visited with every table.Overall it was an enjoyable evening, fresh food, good company and we will definitely go back. Nice place to take guests and for special occasions. Drive was a bit but worth it!"
"A fresh sandwich doesn't get any better than this. The bread is home made, and the ingredients are always fresh. The homemade chicken tortilla soup is amazing. This is our favorite spot for lunch."

Good food and better service. Never disappoints. Friendly clean service. With a nice variety of buffet options. If You like asian food, you'll love this place. Plus they have ice cream and make fresh Pho for you.Was too busy eating and forgot to take photos. Will do next time I'm there.

Good food. Nice staff. But wow, they need to figure out how much they need to pay staff in order to retain them and be able to appropriately serve the customers. I saw two customers walk out because it was taking too long to order and there is nobody to clean the dining room. All empty tables were dirty. I had to clean my own table with water and a napkin.

Food is great with friendly service. But, locals tell me they don't always get good health department scores.

I have nothing bad to really say about this place. I ordered Orange Beef and Cheese Wontons. Both were very good. The beef was slightly crispy. The presentation of my dish and those around me was very fresh looking and bright. I enjoyed eating here and would come back.

Stopped in for a quick espresso, great service, cute shop! Located inside a gift shop, great place to look around while coffee is being made. Espresso is 3/5, but the great surrounding and yummy baked goods make up for it! Great local place!!

We were wanting home style food for lunch as we made a quick trip down to Ponca on a weekday. After several passes on other chain restaurants we decided to give JW Cobbs a try. We loved our waitress! All the staff was so great and very attentive. It seemed it was a regular spot for many locals and everyone knew everyone by name. I loved the atmosphere and I do believe they have the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! Both our meals we delicious and HUGE for not much money. JW Cobbs is a diamond in the rough. We will make it a regular go-to from now on!!

"We are from out of town and when I accidentally sent my online order to the wrong restaurant, Brecken stepped in to save the day! Without hesitation she 100% put the customer first even though the err was completely my fault. She is an asset!"
"Who knew I'd have one of the best meals of the year in a tiny town in Kansas? Chef Stan's Place is housed in a restored church, and features a paired down menu of brunch and lunch items. And when I say paired down, I mean there are literally five options to choose from, plus three desserts. There's also a soup (whatever Stan feels like making that day) and a salad (a house salad with spring lettuces, bleu cheese crumbles, tomatoes, corn and pepperoncinis). Everything is made by Chef Stan himself, and made with local ingredients -- sometimes harvested right from the garden that he keeps out back. Quiche is a popular choice here and always on the menu, so I had to get that. Stan likes to change up the flavors of the quiche, and when I visited, it was a Mediterranean quiche, with feta and greens. The crust disintegrated in my mouth, it was so tender. Also on the menu was an egg salad sandwich, served face-up on a thick, toasted slice of sourdough bread; a grilled cheese; ravioli; and a pulled chicken sandwich. For dessert, I was told that the Magic Cookie Bars are the thing to get, and my dining companion got one. It takes like 15 minutes to make (Stan bakes them fresh), but they are worth the wait. The Magic Cookie Bars are a cookie crust layered with chocolate chips, shredded coconut and topped with chopped walnuts, all baked together with condensed milk. They're rich and gooey, and definitely something that can be shared with the table.I also had to try the lemon tart, which was bright with just the right amount of lemon in a shortbread crust. And because I couldn't just taste two of the three desserts offered, I also got a chocolate chip cookie for the road. It was a great choice. Chef Stan's Place is a small and intimate restaurant, but casual and comforting. While I was there, a series of regulars came through -- either to dine in or get something to go. The server knew them by name. If you visit, you definitely want to dine in and stay a while. This is a simple and beautiful restaurant, with views out of the church windows of the lovely prairie outside."
"I agree with another reviewer: This is a great little stop when going between Dodge City & Wichita. Lots of fun coffee beverages & friendly service."
"My family loves Chopstix. The food, which is normally the Cashew Chicken or Chicken Lo Mein for me, is always delicious and we appreciate the customer service. Quite honestly, my experiences have never warranted the rating it has now. In fact, I don't often give reviews, but when I saw the rating for Chopstix, I knew I had to respond because I have always appreciated them."
"I have waited 10 years for a Vietnamese restaurant to open here in Manhappiness! This beautiful restaurant is located on Poyntz in the heart of downtown. I was out of town for the grand opening last week, and it took Eric R. two tries on different days to get in for his first taste of local pho. He was very happy with his meal, and bragged with photos to me. I was not planning to go yet as I figured it was so busy, but I had an appointment nearby today and decided because I am a loving spouse to get lunch to go for Eric R. and I. I ordered to go at the bar, and since we are in a heat advisory, I decided not to get pho (which also can be tough to transport). I ordered for myself lemongrass chicken with rice and fried egg. It also came with a salad. For Eric R. I ordered the grilled shrimp and eggroll vermicelli bowl. I also got shrimp soft spring rolls for us to share. The place was absolutely hopping at lunch time. As I waited, I took in the ambiance - beautifully hand-painted walls with scenes of Vietnam and its food - plus lanterns hanging from the ceiling which look like hats in Vietnam and at least three TVs showing the Olympics. The staff were very kind. The person who took my order also had to serve as cashier for anyone eating in the restaurant and manage all to go orders. She kindly offered me a glass of ice water as I waited. There was a line out of the door when I was leaving with my food!Everything was well-packaged, and when I brought it home, the entrees were still warm. I really enjoyed my dish which came with sides of fish sauce and spicy chile sauce. I look forward to dining in and trying the pho soon. There are also fun drinks that were sold out due to popularity, so I hope to stop by for an avocado smoothie too!"
"This place is connected to a sushi restaurant. I believe the menu serves both sides. We (my adult son and I) had split the halloween roll and he ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and I the eel ramen. II was very impressed - everything was perfect. Great food and nice service as well. And the atmosphere was relaxing and very Japanese. (even if they did play lady gaga lol) decor"
"Must go to Cinnamon's Deli!! My family and I stopped in for dinner this evening while traveling to Wichita. My wife and I lived in Wichita from 2003-2009 and used to enjoy Cinnamon's Deli at the location on Rock Road. We drove over there today only to see that the Rock Road location had closed. :0(However, we were elated to find a Cinnamon's Deli location still open on the west side of town. :0)Highly recommend the Wild Turkey Jack sandwich!!! Sooo delicious! The vegetarian cream cheese sandwich was also on point. For something sweet also recommend trying the oatmeal raisin cookies, yum!"
"Love their mixed grill platter, enough quantity to share. Could improve the biryani but other items were very good. Liked their chai as well."
"Disappointing. Steak was overcooked and low quality. Someone else is the group got a filet and said it was great. Bourbon pour was slim. Limited sides and soup came with the meal but salad was a side. Price was reasonable for a good steakhouse. Service was ok for us but my daughter had gone earlier and received poor service. Probably issue of college couple vs 4 older adults. Old building that they had made some effort to renovate"
"Large salads packed with fresh and vibrant ingredients, loaded paninis, tasty proteins, fresh juices, ready-to-indulge soups, and more can be found at Doc Green's! We stopped by the Wichita location and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the Dr. Greek Salad, Buffalo Tender Panini, tortilla soup, and the Beef Tenderloin panini with a side of macaroni and cheese. This spot prioritizes healthy eating and you can tell by the quality of the ingredients. I would highly recommend checking out the closest Doc Green's near you!"
"Very nice sandwich, candy, coffee, desert, and ice cream shop! Never seen anything quite like this. Had a Reuben sandwich with a cup potato soup for lunch was very delicious! I would have never know this place was there unless client took me there!"
"The Good Fortune has one of the best Egg Foo Young I've ever had. I get the Combination one and it's topped with a gravy that beats all others. A must try!"
"Ever had a meal that tasted so good, you wished your stomach were bigger or that somehow the meal didn't end? That's me right now enjoying the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen. I picked mildly spicy, and that was plenty spicy for me. I don't like food so hot that it kills my tastebuds. The pork was pan fried perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ambiance is average. There were a lot of people here and it was noisy with all the kids. Service was excellent for such a busy night and only one waitperson. Definitely want to come back and try their other ramens."
"Top notch sandwiches, would recommend the au jus as a side with any sandwich. Jalapeno ranch was applied just in proportion to the sandwich size! Outstanding meat, speedy friendly service and a price that puts Jimmy johns to shame. I plan on going back on my next wichita visit."
"Oh my gosh. I've been coming for years. Order delivery to my work. Nothing beats the salads, sandwiches and soups at Tanya's. I love the Olive but Delilah's is great as well. Actually never been disappointed. Even the cold peach soup was delicious."
