"We took my dad here who is from out of town and he was amazed! We told him how consistent the food and service is at homegrown! He got the avocado toast with over easy eggs, the honey bee latte, I got the iron man scramble, and my husband got the pigs sandwich. No matter what the food is great! Only thing that would make it better is a better management of the noise - putting a noise reflector above the tables so it's easier to talk to your table. The front is always super busy and nowhere to wait. All in all it's one of the best in town!"
"Fabulous brunch with lots of variety! The adult drinks really made the morning. Appreciate being able to get on the waitlist EARLY - highly recommend doing that too as the wait was up to 90 minutes at one point in the morning. Restaurant was a little chilly and loud due to all the people inside. We always come here when we visit Wichita."

"I'm still thinking about the cup of fruit I was served with my breakfast. It was one of those things that didn't look like much -- just a small bowl of red grapes, blueberries, pineapple, green apple and strawberries. But the fruit was cut up precisely, and it was tossed in a citrus dressing with poppy seeds sprinkled on top. It was refreshing and nourishing, and I highly recommend getting fruit if your breakfast offers it as a side. And if it doesn't, it's worth it to get a side of fruit!I was so impressed with my fruit that I almost completely ignored the avocado toast that was my main breakfast dish. The avocado toast is served on a hearty wheat bread, toasted, with smashed fresh avocado and halved grape tomatoes, and crushed red pepper sprinkled on top. You get two eggs on the side, and I got over-medium eggs. The eggs and avocado toast and fruit was like a vitamin shot straight into my bloodstream, and I left the table feeling satisfied and deeply nourished. My healthy breakfast was followed by a house-made lemon hand pie (Pop'd Heart), which had lemon curd inside and sprinkles on top. It was delicious and perfect for people who love the crust part of a pie (like me). I visited HomeGrown with a group, so we ordered some lemon ricotta pancakes for the table. They were good, but you couldn't really taste the lemon. We needed more lemon! Apparently, the thing to order here is the salsa verde pork & egg. It's a popular dish, and judging by what it looks like, it looks like it would taste amazing. The coffee at HomeGrown is great. They serve it to you in big carafes that are placed on the table, so you serve yourself. I drink black coffee, and the coffee by itself, with nothing to alter it, was fantastic."
"In addition to popping up in my research of Topeka, The Wheel Barrel was also recommended by a local shop owner. We walked in and chose a seat at the far end of the first dining area. A table with a booth on the side against the wall, and chairs on the other side. We started with an appetizer of the House seasoned kettle chips and craft beer queso. It was goooood. The chips were SO good, we actually took the ones we didn't finish with us to go. Next, we ordered our sammiches. My wife chose the Award Winning Monte Cristo, and I went with The Kansan. My wife loved her sammich. But mine... well, mine left me momentarily speechless. The cheese pull was insane! Every single ingredient combined for an incredible flavor explosion in my mouth. Without a doubt one of the best sammiches I've ever had. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. We were visiting from California, but would absolutely return to The Wheel Barrel the next time we visited Topeka."
"The most amazing service and the BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had!!!!Ambiance is quaint and casual."
"I met family in Empora at Do-B's based off of Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! This is a solid old school diner and literally everything on the menu is good. From milkshakes to po-boys, you will love your meal here. I knocked it down one star for two reasons: it's a small place so seating is at a premium! I didn't notice this from other reviews so if you have a big group, this probably isn't the place for you, or you may want to consider carry out. Also, the restrooms are on the exterior of the building. Granted, they are clean, but with a toddler and dodging freezing rain the day we visited, it was a massive drag to have to ask for a key and then trudge outside, dodging cold rain to use the restroom. To make matters worse someone on the stairwell above us poured a TON of dirty water right in front of where you wait and we nearly got drenched. So, that literally put a damper on the experience (pun intended!). At any rate, I'd 100% return the food is incredible, the people nice, and the ambiance is clean and nostalgic."
"Love this place! Amazing soda and burger options, but the fries are a star for many. This has a bit of a small diner feel, all while serving up some unique takes on the classics!"
"Belmont, was great in every aspect and then the music was amazing! Nice place to sit, chat, eat and just chill!"
"I was in town doing some training and needed a place for lunch. This is probably the best little surprise I didn't know I needed. The burgers were so juicy, and the soup warmed my soul. It felt like a mom-and-pop place where everyone was super friendly, And Glad you came. They even had free dessert when I showed up. The menu is huge! I'll add this to a must-stop place whenever I visit this town!"
"Delicious, delicious. I crave their food. The fish and chips? So good with this light and crispy batter."
"Nice spot with a great view of the golf course. Service and food were both above average. Double pork chop was very tender and flavorful. My wife declared the BLT to be the best she's ever had. Definitely recommend."
"Delicious Pho! Spring rolls were good also and served fresh. My husband ordered crab Rangoon and said they were also delicious. I ordered a large pho and could have easily made do with a regular. Highly recommended."

Be sure to get on the waitlist in advance of arriving because it can get pretty packed. The fresh juices they have are delicious -- I got an orange juice and my partner got the carrot based juice. We split the rotating pop tart flavor and it was great. The icing was very sweet but the pastry itself and the filling were very flavorful and not overly sweet. For our actual meals, we got their french toast (one cinnamon and one pistachio). The pistachio was almost like a cake flavor and was my favorite out of the two.

Our favorite breakfast spot whenever we're in town! Such friendly service, and the food is amazing: I get the runaround migas every time, my husband gets the Benny Harper and son gets the pancakes. All are excellent. Atmosphere is great as well; has a big city vibe in a smaller town.

A must stop destination when in the area! The Creole Gouda burger is phenomenal and the cheese curds are out of this world! Always great service, consistently delicious food, and a fun little diner-ish feel. Definitely worth the detour off the interstate.

"It's located just east of the Kansas State Fair Grounds. Bogey's is a great place, with very good QSR food... which is a good value, for the price! They have at least 100 different types of shakes. The small shake is rather large, while the large is more than enough for two people! I saw later, you could request it thick or thin, however the cashier never asked how we would like ours... it came out thick and delicious. Though it's a burger & shake place, they also have a salad bar!Burger was hot & good with grilled onions, which added a nice flavor... also reasonably priced. They have a good selection of custom burgers which you can easily make a double or triple. The Onion rings (thick not thin) were served hot, very good and a large portion for the price. We loved that the french fries were curly, but seemed to be only average in taste. Overall, I was very pleased with our order and feel the 4.5 stars which is the average is reasonable. If you haven't been here, it's a pleasant change from the Chain burger stores and a must try... if only for the shakes! We will be back, every time we are in Hutch!"
"Food, service, and the atmosphere is outstanding at Sickies. It is our favorite place eat, drink and hangout! Caryn"
"THOSE WINGS!Wing Wednesday is main reason I go. They are delicious and you can't beat the price! My favorite sauce is the KBBQ. It's a delicious sticky sweet garlicky sauce. The wing's are pretty big and I always have some to take home for another yummy meal. The position of the tables are a bit strange, but it's because they bought out the building next door, tore down the wall, and the booths remained in their original spot. No big deal since it allows for more seating and now has a stage for live music.Food comes out quick and always tastes consistent. Service is attentive and efficient which is so nice. The parking lot does get busy, especially during meal times since it's in a shopping center with shared tenants.I'm happy they revamped the menu from when they first opened to added chips or a small size fry to any burger. Lots of different options to choose from. See you at the next wing Wednesday!"
"Great place! I got the Twisted Seester and was pleasantly surprised, the jalepeno onion hoagie bun was amazing (although it might sound weird, give it a shot!) I thought that the sandwiches were sized well, and can't go wrong with jalepeno kettle chips :)Service was excellent. Went during lunch time, and they had a good amount of customers. The server was really nice and attentive with waters and whatnot.Ambiance is cool, kind of has a bar vibe and the lighting was a little dark where we were sat.I'd come again! I like how creative the menu is."
"Copper Oven was a nice find, not too far from home. I've been in twice, both on a Saturday morning after their big breakfast rush and had no delays in getting seated and served. The portion sizes are big and the taste of everything I've had so far is fantastic. Service is good with frequent refills of coffee and other check-ins. Due to the increase in egg costs, they did put a note on the door and menu that dishes with eggs will have a slight price change. I think they are opening for dinner soon, too, as they close in the early afternoon after lunch."
"Delicious small pizzas! 1st time here, great place for a small town local restaurant. It's a walk up counter and the pizza came out quick. Wood fire pizza is one of my favorite kinds. The place has lots of transportation decor."
"Best pizza that's not from New York i've ever tried staff was very nice and service was good"
"I am a die hard doc greens fan and have eaten it for YEARS. But lately within the last year, I'm not sure if it is a staffing issue, but it seems like they have not been caring what they put out. My regular order is the Buffalo Tenders Panini and it used to be SO CONSISTENT AND SO GOOD. Nowadays, I'm never really sure what I'm going to get :( most days they use pita as the bread instead without warning and then the other day, I got a doordash and they sent me a deconstructed panini (added in photos). It was so strange. If doc greens could be what it was before the service and quality went downhill, it would be thriving."
"Love their gluten free options for pizza! It's so hard to find a place that actually has decent gluten free products"
"First time trying a burger at Bill's. First impression of the decor was a cross between a roadhouse and farm shed which is awesome! Was not expecting to see steaks and chicken sandwiches on the menu as I thought it was burgers only so that was a nice surprise. Ordered the double cheese burger medium. Place was not busy so food came out quick. I enjoyed putting my burger together since the veggies were in a separate baggie which kept them cool and crisp. The burger was more medium well but tasted absolutely delicious! The amount of char on the burgers was perfect and gave the burgers that backyard bbq taste. Fries were nice and crispy. I was very impressed and must say it's the tastiest burger I have had in Wichita so far. Reasonably priced too. Can't wait to be back to try their steak and chicken sandwich."
"I've been wanting to try this place. I've read many really good reviews! So, on my day off today, after waking up from a nap, I was hungry! I first thought about getting a burger from one of our local burger places. Then I remembered Kimlan! I looked them up to find their hours and had only 30 minutes to get there! I'm about 20 minutes away. So I flew out the door! Fortunately I made it on time!I was torn between the Banh Mi Thit Nuong: thinly sliced pork marinated in lemongrass-soy dressing, no mayo. Or the Banh Mi Xa Xiu: sliced Chinese bbq pork. Both come with picked carrots, jalapeno, cilantro, cucumber and mayo (on the Banh Mi Xa Xiu). They were out of the Banh Mi Thit Nuong so that settled my decision! It was really, really delicious!!! Absolutely loved it. I bought 2 so I'd have one for work lunch tomorrow. Glad I did. The bread is light, airy and crunchy. My one issue, which was the reason for just 4 stars, was that IMO, it could have used more meat. I thought it was kind of sparse. Although at just $3.50 for a very decently sized sandwich, it was alright. I ate it at home and added some chicken breast I had. I also ordered some Crispy Egg Rolls ($2.00 for 3) which I would refer to as Spring Rolls (the smaller, thin wrapped rolls), with the fish sauce dipping sauce. They were also good. Typical Spring Rolls. So, all in all, I was very pleased with my meal! I will definitely go back! I want to try the one that they were out of tonight. Also have to try their Bun Thit Nuong Cha Goo: grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli ($6.75). That is one of my favorites! Their prices are incredibly reasonable!"
"Cute coffee shop with seating in + drive through! Ordered a Latte w/ almond milk + honey & a polar mocha, only to realize I could've ordered a snicker mocha lol! Great location right across from the hotels, and other convenient places. The prices are great, the coffee is delish!"
"Update January 20,2024.Called ahead to make sure the Tavern was open tonight (bad weather this week-super cold) and they were thank goodness. We needed a rib fix! We were asked to reserve/preorder the # of ribs we wanted to pick up go figure cause when we got there the place was packed! Small town America Williamsburg Kansas was hoppin'! ! Glad we ordered ahead. Got home with our food and it was fantastic! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. If you're not happy, just give them a chance to fix things before writing something up. They have been in business a long time for a reason......This is as Americana as you can get folks ! Pull off of I-35 when you are out their way and get ya some! While you're at it, you need a T Shirt too....."
"The setup is awesome and selection is phenomenal! The cronuts were delicious. I also got an iced coffee than far exceeds anything you could ever get from Starbucks. The people are kind and genuine. This place is a must try if you're wanting pastries!"
"We stopped here on our way through Kansas for lunch. We both thought our burgers were pretty good. The fries could have been a bit crispier but had great flavor. We loved the add on flavors for the fries. The onion rings were not great. They tasted like frozen ones from the store. The employees were all very nice and attentive. This was refreshing from such a young staff as so many young people are not this friendly. The store was clean and tidy. Overall a good experience."
"Adding an update as this spot has come in clutch a few years in a row now.Friend and I have a tradition to get together for skeet shooting nearby each November, often needing a spot with a dog friendly patio afterword. This could not have fit the bill any better than it did.For starters, the perfect fall weather, paired with the ample picnic benches, games, and dog-friendly nature of this spot should be enough to catch your attention. The friendly server also happened to have a similar dog to mine, and her energy added to the great vibes overall. The food was good and hit the spot. First time in I had a chicken sandwich and while it was a bit generic, or maybe a better term is replicable, it still landed for me. This time I got more of a BBQ platter with ribs, pulled pork, fries and Texas toast. It all was good, particularly the BBQ sauce. The ribs feel right off the bone and the pulled pork had a nice flavor.Good option if you're outside of Lawrence in the Eudora area."
"This place always looks closed from Waco St, but I finally went and was pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches were delicious. Staff was fast and courteous. Prices were great. There's a little hidden patio in the front."
"We read the history of this place on Yelp & had to stop. Located 2 miles off I-35 in Perry Oklahoma it is a worthwhile detour. Filled with locals on a Saturday during lunch it was a virtual treasure trove of historic memorabilia dating back to the 20's. The service friendly & food outstanding. The hot beef with brown gravy melted in my mouth and the chicken fried steak was as good as you would expect in an old school Oklahoma diner. I saw a huge plate of chili cheese fries go by that I may have to try on my next trip. Topped our meal off with homemade lemon meringue pie & good strong coffee."
"This is a charming coffee house with fresh roasted beans and friendly staff! It's just a skosh outside of Wichita, and well worth the drive. The owner is terrific. We talked coffee roasting and the flavor that's in their house blend. They get their beans roasted locally and the freshness shines through. The flavor of a medium roast really let's you taste the bean. They even knew me by name the next day. Thank you for the small town hospitality!"
"Must go to Cinnamon's Deli!! My family and I stopped in for dinner this evening while traveling to Wichita. My wife and I lived in Wichita from 2003-2009 and used to enjoy Cinnamon's Deli at the location on Rock Road. We drove over there today only to see that the Rock Road location had closed. :0(However, we were elated to find a Cinnamon's Deli location still open on the west side of town. :0)Highly recommend the Wild Turkey Jack sandwich!!! Sooo delicious! The vegetarian cream cheese sandwich was also on point. For something sweet also recommend trying the oatmeal raisin cookies, yum!"
"Food and fro-yo was very very good!! The service was quick. The burger and fries I got was very fresh & affordable! Cheaper than your typical fast food and better."
"Great, great sandwiches and smoothies... they also have some really nice dessert choices like blueberry banana bread.!"
"Great coffee spot with lots of seating options - great mix of study spots, comfy spots, and larger tables for groups! Try the café miel latte in a "for-here" cup - cinnamon & honey!"
