"I have the margarita speck and he has the pepperoni. Absolutely lovely. We also tried the cheese bread--which is actually a cheese pizza with sauce on the side. Surprising, but DELICIOUS! The glasses of wine are smaller than I would have expected. But, the moscato was absolutely DELIGHTFUL. The tiramisu was naked on top! No cocoa powder! But still tasty and rich! A thick, silky mouthfeel with just enough coffee flavor. The service was extremely kind. We cant wait to go back! I would highly recommend this place."

"I've been wanting to try Angelo's for years but have just never gotten around to it, sadly. I finally made it for a late lunch the other day and it was SO GOOD. While the entree and appetizer were executed well, it was the dessert that stole my heart! I got the limoncello mascarpone cake and it had the perfect egg sponge cake with delicate mascarpone frosting. So tasty and so well done. I also bought a slice of chocolate 3 layer cake and it was amazing as well. Cream cheese frosting with ganache. For my appetizer I had garlic bread with cheese and pepperoni. It was the most delightful grilled cheese I've ever had, crispy, salty, buttery and cheesy. I asked my server what their most popular/best dish is and he recommended the manicotti, which I ordered with Italian sausage and ricotta (pictured below). It came out bubbling hot, smothered in melted mozzarella. The marinara sauce was bright red and a little sweet. My server was so kind and friendly, checked in often, and kept me updated on the progress of each item I'd ordered. I arrived at the typical break time for most servers (2pm-ish) and while he was seating me, another server asked if he was ok. He replied, "Never better" and continued to serve me with that energy, wonderful service, not one single complaint from me. I have to return now to try their pizza and tiramisu!"

Not not were we told they would accommodate a party of 9 (after a much less busy Prime on the 9 turned us away) they greeted everyone with enthusiasm, and to say they were busy was an understatement!! We put in our orders & the food matched the quality of service. We ordered the pickle pizza, pizza with no name, nachos, Hawaiian pizza, and one other and every one of the was amazing! The cherry on top of this experience was the atmosphere. Cool downtown vibe, rollup doors inside and outside seating everything you want and more."

Being from the NJ/NY area myself this is the only place in the city that has authentic pizza like where I grew up.Ingredients are fresh, pizza has a great crispy underneath, and the flavor profile always hits! Pictured here is their margherita pie. Comes with fresh basil, dollops of fresh mozzarella, and their savory, slightly sweet marinara sauce. I opted for their pepperoni and white onions as it is my go to. Their pesto pizza is excellent as well. Cheers!"

"If you're driving along 70 in any direction and come upon Topeka, this is a great alternative to stopping at Starbucks. It's also a great pit stop, because there is a gas station within a 1 minute drive of the coffee shop. This is a locally owned coffee shop, along with almost every other store on the street. You won't see a lot of the typical "captains of industry" chains along this downtown business corridor - which I liked. Also, the bathrooms are super clean, which is important for those much needed rest stops on a road trip. The food was good we ordered a chocolate muffin and a croissant breakfast Sandwhich and everything taste just as good as Starbucks if not better. The staff were friendly and attentive. The coolest part of this place was the artwork on the walls - which were also for sale. Super affordable is what caught my eye. I'm assuming these are local artists but definitely some really interesting pieces. Well if you are looking for a pit stop, try to get out of your comfort zone and check out this local spot that checks off all your needs: good fast food, tasty beverages, clean bathrooms, near I 70 and close to a gas station. On a quick note the shop is situated right next to a chocaltier, called Hazel Hill. OMG, chocolate and Carmel covered apples looked delicious. You can get a two-fer in with this stop!! Enjoy!"

"I can only assume Blackthorn's 3.5 star average is due to the grungy, punk rock bar vibe of the location itself, because it certainly isn't an accurate representation of the food. Only having visited once, I can't speak for the whole menu, but the iconica I shared with my group was an absolute marvel of delicately balanced flavors that transcended our expectations effortlessly. Yes, service was a bit slow (it is a bar, after all), and it's true that the crowd is a bit rougher around the edges than one might prefer. And although I didn't partake of any adult beverages on this trip, I did listen to several of my friends lament the rather paltry selection of available liquors. These limitations are, to my mind, the only things holding the establishment back from five star status. Otherwise, if you enjoy good food and are prepared to embrace a divey ambiance, there's no reason you won't enjoy Blackthorn."

However, the delivery beat their estimate by 15 minutes and the driver was nice. I suspect he might have been the owner.The thing I like about Gambinos is simplicity. Their mobster pizza is old school good and better than the bigger well-known chains. You get tons of toppings with...get this....real extra cheese by default recipe. They told me it would take 30 minutes so I ran some errands and when I returned the sweet lady that works there seen me and brought the pizza out to me.
