"Food: it was a little salty than expected but overall we had an excellent time.Service was attentive and a bit standoffish.Ambiance: there was not many people here so we actually enjoyed our meal."
"We brought a local work group in for a celebratory dinner. We coordinated the menu and happy hour needs in advance. The owners were very accommodating and so friendly. We had a small plates type menu that had 8 choices including meats, salad, fruit, cheese, fish and sides. Everything tasted delicious and home made. We had approximately 24 people and started with a happy hour with a full bar. The menu options were incredibly complimentary of our teams food interests. The ambience is French countryside. Fine tables. Linens. Center pieces. It's felt special and everyone enjoyed it so much. I will absolutely be back. Great experience and highly recommend this location."
"Ate at this restaurant during a summer vacation road trip. Awesome! Don't miss out. Great burger and friendly service. You will be impressed and well worth the stop if you are driving through South Western Kansas."
"Nick and Co. have been flying under the radar for the last couple years and it's about time they get the recognition they deserve. After buying the infamous Trapper's several years ago, they've been trying to make a new name for themselves. Although they're now named Trapper Joe's, they do share some of the same similarities. Still great chicken fries as well as some new favorites. Sriracha burger is a personal favorite of mine as I am a huge fan of hot foods. Also their desserts are a nice compliment to the evening's meal, especially the brownie w/ ice-cream! Hats off to the Jensen family for moving to a small town and rolling the dice on the restaurant game"
"Stillwater has its fair share of lively bars and honkytonks, and they certainly have their place, sometimes you just want a loud crowd, cheap beer, and a little chaos. But when you're in the mood for something more refined, something with a bit of elegance and a touch of class, The Monarch is the answer. The cocktails are nothing short of an art form. This is not the kind of place where drinks are hurriedly thrown together by a frazzled college kid. Every cocktail is meticulously crafted, each ingredient carefully measured, each garnish placed with intention. The smoked old fashioned is a performance in itself, with the wood set ablaze right before your eyes, infusing the drink with deep, rich complexity. Other cocktails feature touches like earl gray syrup and tobacco bitters, flavors that are bold and sophisticated, mixed with precision by bartenders who clearly take pride in their craft. The food is just as refined without being pretentious. Every plate is a balance of flavors, and a testament to quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. This is not bar food. You will not find cheese fries here. This is the kind of dining experience that elevates an evening, perfectly complementing the artistry of the drinks. And the service? Impeccable. The staff knows their stuff, treating every guest with warmth and professionalism without being overbearing. It's the kind of place where you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. Time slips away inside the Monarch. Stillwater has its fair share of lively spots, and those have their place. But The Monarch is different. It is a place to sit back, sip something remarkable, and enjoy an atmosphere of pure class. It would not be out of place in London or New York, yet here it is, a gem in the middle of Oklahoma. We are incredibly lucky to have it.."
"Food was great loved my Rueben, our server was a sweetheart. When a glass fell off our table (we think it was a ghost... jk) they were super prompt and cleaned it up (sorry that happened by the way). We will definitely be back! Very clean and nice vibe."
"Food was absolutely delicious, I had the lemon chicken piccata and it was one of the best I've had. Salad was a tad overdressed but was quite tasty and tiramisu was quite good. Servers was very attentive and friendly - so thumbs up on service Restaurant is small but very airy, a definite winner"
"this is your old time downtown diner. Been around for a long time, with the small town atmosphere.I've had a few breakfasts here in the past and the other day a steak, ribeye cut, well done. I like a ribeye med at the most, but it was an okay cut of meat. Curly fries instead of baked potato, great coffee."
"Great little restaurant. We came for breakfast it was good, and the prices were the best I've ever seen from a decent cafe. Waiter was friendly, we will definitely be coming back and telling our friends."
"Excellent service and food. Great downtown location! The tacos, with shredded pork and avocado are legit!"

This place is fun and great food!!! DELISH!!! Our first night is Kansas we went to the Pretty Prairie Steak House. I have to say from the time we entered to the time we left we had absolutely the best service. We had a party of 5. We were welcomed and our drink orders taken right away. The waitress and bartender always came around for more rounds. We never had a dry mouth! lol We all ordered dinner. I ordered the steak medallions medium, french fries, and salad bar. My food was so tasty and yummy! The meat was soooo tender. It was cooked perfect! Then the others started talking about how good their food was! We were so amazed at how good this place was! I have eaten at many different places all over the world too. After we ate we started walking around reading, looking at pictures and stuff in the windows. This little place has a lot of history behind it and the stuff the owner has in it. The locals were so friendly and nice too. We felt very welcomed and comfortable! We were there for about 5 to 6 hours. GOOD TIMES! NEXT VISIT TO KANSAS THIS ARIZONA GIRL IS DEFINITELY GOING BACK HERE!!!! I highly recommend this place!

For an amazing breakfast look no further. Large amounts of down home comfort food. Not a health food restaurant to be sure, but this breakfast will stick to your ribs and is delicious!

You guys, we drove from Kansas City because I read about this restaurant being a James beard award finalist. So we got my mom to watch the kiddos and headed to Topeka for my 40th birthday meal. WORTH.THE.DRIVE. They have a 5 course tasting menu. The building itself is beautiful and historic. We absolutely loved the ambiance. They had Christmas music playing- and I love Christmas so I was a fan. We each had a cocktail that we loved. Mine was called something Soirée. It has this sprig of rosemary clipped to the glass so that every time you take a drink you get this amazing aromatic experience. Our server was super nice. We loved the risotto dish and the dessert- those were my two favorite. My only complaint was he was the only server- they could have used two. The experience could have been At least 30-45Minutes quicker as we arrived at 6:30 and headed home at 8:45. It seems all the tables had each course around the same time rather than each table setting the timing for our own meal. The food was worth it though so no big deal. It was around $200 pretipBut we felt very much worth it. We had a great time and will be back for sure!

Without a doubt the best food in McPherson! In fact, a meal from the courtyard would be a pleasure in any city. Service is impeccable. Just be prepared to make it there in the small time slot from 10-2 T-F. Bummer! I wish they were open for dinner.

We live in Albuquerque and travel to Kansas twice a year. We time our trips just so we can be at the Jet Drive In for lunch both ways. Food is great and the service is fantastic!

We went to The Monarch tonight and it was a fantastic experience. Everyone around us was raving about the food and the atmosphere. We had the charcuterie board which included Sage Derby Cheese (love it), smoked Gouda, salami, apple compote and more. It was a generous size for the price. We also had the Red Snapper with risotto. The risotto was perfect and the snapper was a definite entree to order again. The atmosphere is elegant and upscale. The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent, and the cocktails were on point. This is a fantastic addition to Stillwater! We look forward to many more great evenings at The Monarch!

Generous 3 stars. Should be 2 -2 1/2. This is a combination restaurant and bowling alley with one being on each side and separate. I started with a Santa Fe salad with grilled chicken, small and several pieces of the lettuce were brown on the ends. Portion size small to medium for a meal. Ordered some chicken fingers but they were really heavily battered chicken nuggets which I did not finish. Regret not taking a picture. Oh well. Maybe they're better dishes here. A couple to the right of me ordered onion rings and they also looked heavily battered.

"We decided to try this restaurant before we left Wichita. It is situated in a great location by the park and shopping area. Most guests get to view the park and the band outside while dining. The band played some nice slow music, nothing loud. This is a beautiful and well-maintained restaurant. The staffers seemed energetic and well-trained. We had a girl named Alexis as our waitress, and she was quick, professional, and friendly.Hubby ordered Wedge Salad, and I had Arugula Salad to start. We liked the arugula salad better than the wedge salad. My Arugula Salad is served with goat cheese and Apple slices. Then Hubby got Creekstone RibEye, and I had Trout Amandine. My Trout was exceptional! I loved it! Even Hubby enjoyed it too, although he's not a fish eater. The double vegetable served with my fish was awesome because broccolini is my favorite vege and Hubby's dinner came with it too.Last but not least, we ended the chapter with banana bread pudding! It was amazing! Anything that makes me plum is amazing! I can't believe they allowed me to order this unbelievably enticing dessert. Who's in charge? Anyway, we had a great time dining in Wichita! Thank you for the great food, service, and hospitality!"
"We went here for breakfast for a quick bite to eat. I ordered a waffle and hot cocoa. The waffle was huge and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My dining companion ordered a huge breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage, and I think biscuits and gravy. It was all amazing! The price was also great for the portions! If I ever have to go back to Carthage, I'd definitely go back!"
"OMGosh!! We stopped in when the hostess opened the door and invited us in... the Food is to die for! Starting with the amazing list of Martinis (I could only do one Carmel Apple) followed by the delicious crab cake, the salad (that house dressing is addictive!) followed by Todd's shrimp pasta. Our wonderful server, Sadie, was amazing! We are headed home in a food coma! We highly suggest this spot!"
"Made a quick stop in for some dessert after lunch, I've been here before but we had a few first timers. It's always a tough choice on which cookie bake To get, I think the chocolate chip is the best but sometimes you're just in the mood for hot Apple pie à la mode, and the oatmeal cinnamon apple is the closest thing. It did not disappoint. Hot and melted and sugary delicious. Definitely a stop for someone with a sweet tooth. Will definitely be"
"I'm a French fry person. I judge an eating establishment by the quality of its French fries.Cobbs obviously has more than one cook. Some French fries come to the table properly cooked--a little crunchy and very little grease--cooked to perfection! On another day the French fries arrive limp, wimpy and greasy--almost inedible.Cobbs menu has a wide variety of items--we've tried many of them and have found all items to be quite tasty. All in all, a good family restaurant with quite reasonable prices. The workers are over worked but yet retain a friendly attitude--they deserve a good tip!"
"Restaurant/pub located in downtown Wichita.A few locals recommended this spot so we checked it out for Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas are apparently against the law in Wichita but they do offer $5 mimosas. There is also a great selection of bourbons and beers. We started with the goat cheese peppers which were amazing. They guys had the wings which they said were excellent with some spice. For my meal I had the pork Mac and cheese. Two people could definitely split this. Our waiter was super attentive and friendly."
"I've never been to the outdoor patio or tried the food. Their draft selection is ok, definitely nothing special and it's definitely not a fancy mixology spot. So, why the high praise? I had the best time here. On a random Thursday night. In Wichita. Thursday night is Karaoke night and while I've been to plenty bars' Karaoke night but Rain's was super fun, a surprisingly good depth chart of songs and singers and even the host got in on it. I have a whole new appreciation for 'Me and Mrs. Jones' after having watched it performed, not just sung, PERFORMED. Come in later in the week, grab a draft Truly, (don't judge) and enjoy the show."
"What is this? The bar and restaurant inside the Four Points By Sheraton located in Manhattan, KS.Why does this place justify five stars? Because they have a good menu, superb Ribeye and K.C. Strip, fantastic local microbrews from Kansas City and Manhattan, KS, a full complement of liquor...but Jared the manager is head-and-shoulders above the rest and not because he's really tall (he is) but because he understands how to run a bar and restaurant...he understands it's his people that generate the ExtraGoodGoodKarma© ... he understands that training and development is what inspires his staff to be the best they can be.Special shout out to my peeps working for (or having worked for) Jared ... in no order of preference, pardon the misspellings...: Krystle, Stasi, Katie, Lyndsie, Molly, Sonny and all the rest I might have missed. "Mad Love 4 U, Yo!"Tips and Tricks: Boulevard's "Saison-Brett" while it lasts... two words: Tongue Erection! Ribeye IS FANTASTIC! Wings with extra celery. Lots-O-Nachos add ground beef. This place earns 5 stars because they deliver 5 stars."
"In-laws and I stopped here for lunch while on our way back to Oklahoma. I just love old buildings with exposed brick, visible air ducts, and original wood floors. There's just almost nothing better than that to me for a restaurant. All that being said, this place had all of the above along with old signs, old doors, mannikin arms here and there to name a few. The food was very good and very much homemade. You could taste it in every bite. The staff were friendly and just had a nice family vibe going."
"The menu isn't that big, but the foods listed are tasty. I really enjoyed the soup I had while waiting on my order. It was vegetable. I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I had the variety platter. I enjoyed every bite and was full! Hubby had a fat burger on toasted bread. Tons of waffle fries!"
"I'm going five stars here, because what Jay's does well is exactly what you would expect from both the size of the establishment and from the pictures on the front of the place. They do BURGERS, and no, not fancified 'gourmet' burgers adorned with too many derivatives of greens or cheeses, just a big, juicy burger with the standard accompaniments. A burger with applewood smoked bacon and garlic aioli on ciabatta is just fine, but seriously, why try so hard?Jay's is about as big as your standard kitchen, with outdoor seating as well. It's known as a carry-out place, so capacity isn't the chief concern. The focus of Jay's is their burgers, and they do them up very well! This visit had us gobbling down double cheeseburgers with the works and heaping sides of fries. The burgers are done on a griddle, not flame-broiled, and the meat mixture and cooking technique retains all the flavors and moisture. In the restaurant business they call that 'execution', and Jay's does it just right. In these uncertain times, small businesses mean more than ever and we mean more than ever to small businesses. As we were traveling south on the interstate, we made a phone call, we took an exit, and we picked up our food and ate on the patio. COVID has changed the game for so many places, but Jay's looks to be surviving well. Three burgers plus a couple of fries set us back about $30, and with the timeliness and taste, it was an excellent value. They even give you free ice cream (which we declined - burp!) and have a super-friendly staff."
"As a non-golfer, I had my doubts. But this was so much fun! I recommend the "Scrap Yard" game on the golf simulator. Even with no experience, it was easy to score points and compete with friends. Staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks and snacks were priced comparably to other bars/restaurants in the downtown area. Music playlist was great, and just the right volume to enjoy while still being able to chat with those in my group."
"We are so glad we tried this place, everything was picture perfect and so tasty. We love when reviews and food equally make us spending money exciting lol. The Food was delicious, the crab cakes were HUGE and so tasty, service was excellent and all food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back when in the area."
"A nice overall coffeeshop that's basically on K-State's campus. It's got outdoor seating, and a sleek, modern feel inside. I worked from here for a while and one thing that keeps this from being five stars is the spotty, inconsistent WiFi. It was cutting out a lot inside, and barely worked at all out on the patio. The coffee was really tasty; opted for my usual, a standard black cup of coffee. Some call it boring, I call it life-giving! It was around $4 for a large, and it packs a nice, caffeinated punch. I also got a slightly overpriced yogurt parfait that was fine, if not unremarkable. They keep this place clean, and it has lots of natural light pouring in which adds to the nice atmosphere. Good spot and one I'd recommend checking out; you know college towns will have good coffee shops, and between this and Brothers, I was happy with my discoveries on a two day trip into Manhattan."
"What can I say, old time classic ma and pa drive in Dive spot- Been here for years and one of the few spots that add to this small town's authentic feel- I had the corn dog with a chocolate malt- Was not let down with the food or people inside- Friendly and curious about the city folk (us) - Made for good small talk glad I got to put them on the map-"
"We enjoyed our meal here. Sort of loud but that's normal for a pub. Our part had fish tacos, wings and a spinach artichoke quesadilla. My mom wanted the funnel cake fries. The meals were good. I asked for no jalapeños on my quesadilla which they accommodated but it still had a kick to it, which I wasn't a fan of. The funnel cake fries were pretty amazing. Unique item and my 80 year old mom was thrilled Other dishes were good. Not the best ever but pretty tasty still. Service was good and our server was very friendly. Overall I would go back and probably get something else since I can't do spice. There were a few vegetarian options which was nice to see."
"I was just stopping in for breakfast on a long drive from KC to Wichita. I wasn't even expecting to get a cinnamon roll but I'm glad i did. It's probably the best cinnamon roll I've had. Every inch of the cinnamon roll tasted like the center of the cinnamon roll (arguably best part). Just the right amount of frosting too!"
"Breakfast stop gteat menu many options for a great breakfast would recommend this restaurant toAnyone food Great service good Have a great hunch or dinner also and pies very good"
"Friendly, food served hot. Huge portions. Good fresh salsa and chips. Omeltes are good w side of biscuits and gravy. Mmm chicken tacos were good. Taco salad too greasy"
"We had not been to Jim 's in over a year and decided to give them a try Saturday night and the food was excellent! The whole place has had a remodel also. If you're looking for good chicken, or a good chicken fried steak, this is the place!"
"Oh my goodness, this is such a small town eatery. Tons of junk and comfort food to fill your belly big with delicious fixings. The food comes out relatively fast and piping hot. Definitely great for fun snack time with friends or to be fat solo."
"Attended a party at Rookies including about 7 people. The service was exceptional. The manager Nick was professional. And the operation ran smoothly. The menu options we selected were done to perfection. Highly recommended for a local place to have a great meal. Full selection of alcohol was available. A good time was had by all."
"We discovered this place through a Yelp search as we traveled across Nebraska. As a top-rated steakhouse in the middle of cattle country, we were expecting great things. And a huge steak was no disappointment! While we had a reservation, it took a minute to be recognized and seated...maybe they're lacking a dedicated host? Then once we were seated, it took another five plus minutes to get our drinks order in...we know what we wanted already since we had so much time. I ordered the large ribeye and it was delicious! Perfectly cooked...almost too much to eat in one sitting, but I was undeterred. The sides were pretty standard with nothing really to write home about. The major crack in the evening was some sort of service outage that prevented the running of credit cards, so initially they told people (after they ordered and had eaten mind you) that they'd have to pay with cash or check. In 2021 and in the middle of nowhere, that meant one customer actually did make the 30+ minute round trip to the closest ATM. Eventually, they relented and let folks leave their card information to be run once service was restored. I saw the charge come through the next day with no issue.Oh, and there's a good ghost story that goes with the place and surrounding area so that's always fun when you have a 25-minute ride amongst towering corn rows in the dark on the way home. Yikes! ;)"
