"Tokyo Pot is a really fun place, and we wonder why does Stillwater have this and not Manhattan (KS) where we live!? Eric R. made reservations several weeks in advance because we knew it would be a busy weekend in town for the Mid-South Gravel Race. When we arrived on time for our reservation, we were initially seated in a this weird dark room away from the entire rest of the restaurant. It was very cold and quiet, no atmosphere. Eric R. asked several times to move and finally they relented and got us a table in the main, much larger, well lit dining area with music in the background. Our server Sophie was an absolute gem. She had waters and a giant can of Sapporo with two frosty glasses for us, and shared honestly about the entree sizes, but we still ordered with our eyes. Eric R. got the large ribeye entree, and I ordered the lamb entree. Both came with rice and veggie trays with cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, tofu and rice noodles. He chose the spicy broth and I chose the Mongolian broth. On the table were soy sauce, ponzu, and "no name spicy" which was similar to sweet chili. The ponzu was a bit sweeter than I was used to also. Then Sophie brought us condiments: grated garlic, grated daikon, and chopped green onions! We were given bowls with spoons for eating, metal chopsticks, and then spoons for getting food or broth out of the induction hot pots in front of us. We also got bowls of whisked egg which we could dip our meat in before cooking or create "egg drop soup" in our broth. We really enjoyed the experience, though I was only used to shabu shabu being with konbu in water rather than flavored broths. The other option was teriyaki which is basically the traditional sukiyaki, but the two we chose were not really Japanese-style, which is okay. It was still delicious and fun!I was really amazed when I learned our server's hometown was where my grandfather was born (5 years before Oklahoma became a state) as it is a very small town. This was a really great experience and good carbs and protein for Eric R. before his big race the next day. Our jackets smelled extremely strong like the broths so you will need to wash any clothes you wore inside! Itadakimasu!"

"Stopped in for lunch and was impressed at the lunch menu. Great pricing on hibachi, and sushi so we choose to do both. The food came out quickly and we had barely finished our beef broth soup. The soup was very hot and had a lot of flavor. The hibachi wasn't too salty and the veggies were perfection... I don't think that I've ever loved broccoli until today. The server checked on us periodically but the pace was relaxed and the overall vibe is peaceful. Will come again next time we're in the area."
"Please do not be fool by the good pictures. I was disappointed and not impressed by the rolls. The sashimi plate were not as fresh except for the salmon. The sashimi fish were put on top of little tree branches which were not clean. The rolls were filled with too much rice and cucumbers. It barely had any avocado/fish/crab. The rolls were not put together properly. I watched the lady rolled the sushi and she did a sloppy job. The shrimp tempura was stale and had the freezer aftertaste. I will not come back here again. I realized a lot of people had good reviews but they are most likely came in to eat for fried rice, bento and hibachi food, not for their sushi. They said up to 50% of sushi but really it is not any cheaper than other sushi place. If you want good sushi, do not come here."
"Downtown already with my boys, I brought them here for early dinner. Walking in, the host told us it would be a 30-minute wait. He told the people behind us the same thing, but yet we were still seated within five minutes. SCORE.With an impressive selection of rolls to choose from, my kids went nuts...and ordered California Rolls. Oh well, I'll teach them culture eventually. As for me, I went with Eel and Avocado, Spicy Tuna, and Spicy Salmon. I've had Sushi all around the world and simply know what I like. This was very good.Service was good, food was stellar, and my kids were happy. Is there a better experience?"
"I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Service was great from the bar to when we sat down for dinner! The food was delicious! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Their garlic fried rice along was 10 stars for me it was sooo good! I ordered chicken, steak and scallops. Next time I'm back in Wichita I will for sure be back here!"
"I'm impressed. Actually, I'm blown away! My mom and I were in Stillwater for a baseball game and we were craving anything besides burgers and bbq (no-offense)... we were surprised to find this new concept/fast casual poke restaurant. I was amazed by the quality! I've had poke in Hawaii so my standards have been set pretty high.... this place is probably the best I've had in Oklahoma! Hands down. The ambience was welcoming and modern. And the customer service was outstanding! Their menu is simple but at the same time, the options vary so your taste buds can go on a sushi/poke adventure! I had the sushi burrito (I've only had these out-of-state so I was excited to see one on the menu) and wow, that first bite blew my mind! It was super crispy, savory and fresh! Adding wonton chips was genius!!! And you get a lot of food for only $10. My mom had some shrimp tempura & miso soup and she enjoyed it! She said the miso soup was full of flavor! If I was a college kid in Stillwater, I be a regular! It's that good and I would want to try everything on the menu! Go ahead and give Nooki a try if you're in the area!"
"Great food, very fast service, good prices as well. Chill out atmosphere, just parking is tricky to find. Tried their chicken and Salmon hibachi, very tasty. Enough food for the price."
"The restaurant was nice the waiter very nice the food. The flavor has left the building. Not sure what they were thinking of. They needed a little more into their food right now."

Great food really small restaurant easy to relax. It does get a little steamy and sweaty when the restaurant is full.

I have been to the west-side location twice now, and have been impressed with the quality of both the food and service. The facility was clean and very comfortable with nice atmosphere. I'm prefer real sushi, so not big on rolls; however they do have some that peaked my interest and taste. The sashimi portions were above average, and very fresh, especially for Wichita. The only downside was they do not have quail egg, and like every other sushi restaurant in Wichita, no uni. I have to put it in with my top three places in Wichita. Kudos

The best Hibachi in Manhattan! I recently came to this restaurant for a friends' birthday with a party of 10. We were sat with a family that had younger children and the hibachi chef made it a point to entertain everyone at the table. At the beginning of the meal the kids were intimidated but the Chef made it a point to entertain the kids. By the end they were laughing at the chef's jokes and catching shrimp. A great place to take the family for a nice dinner. The food was good for the price. I'd recommend adding an extra side of rice and sharing one dinner entree with a partner. For the birthday celebration we got to ring the gong and the celebrated party member received a beautiful set of noodle bowls and chopsticks free of charge. Each one was uniquely decorated and a very nice gesture from the restaurant. I would highly recommend the hibachi experience at Umis!

I got the chicken and steak hibachi. The steak was just okay but very "chewy" and the chicken didn't have much flavor. Fried rice wasn't bad hence the two stars. My husband got the maki platter sushi and wasn't impressed either. We had to ask for beverage refills too. They were very friendly though. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back.

Kobe is one of my favorite spots-- and I love that it's great for groups! You just have to make sure you plan ahead and make reservations whether it's just a date night or for a group dinner. We always have a great time when we dine here. The portions are plentiful and this is one of the places where I look forward to having leftovers because it still tastes great the next day. The filet and salmon is my usual order and I can't forget about the tasty sauces!! I can't wait to eat there again.

Pretty good poke bowls! We went at 5:30pm on a Friday night and it was pretty busy for a rainy evening. The only thing the place was lacking was maybe some music playing in the background. HEADS UP: this is not a full service restaurant - you order your food at the counter and they build it in front of you (bowls and burritos), for the sides and sushi rolls they give you a number and bring it to your table.

"Great food! Don't bring your AMEX. The folks working were very nice and attentive. Clean restaurant and yummy food."
"Sat down and immediately was asked for our order. Quick service and friendly demeanor by the waitress. She did a great job by keeping her glasses full and our orders filled quickly."
"I love it here!! Food is amazing!! The service was great! The waitress was soooo nice. Compliments to the chef Luis. Will definitely be a regular here."
"Eh a solid three in Kansas is probably a five all things considered for sushi. Service was prompt and thorough. I ordered edamame, and egg rolls and two sushi rolls. Egg rolls were deep fried and tasty but greasy in a good way. The $5 plum saki was ok. Edamame was as expected. The two rolls looked good but they just didn't hit the spot. I left all but two bites of the deep fried roll behind. Tasted like sausage inside. That was oddNothing terrible but I wouldn't come back. By 7pm it was getting busy on a Wednesday night."
"Great rolls, excellent lemon drop and wonderful service. Glad to have found this spot after being disappointed by not being able to get barbeque."
"TLDR/ Would go again tomorrow that's how good this spot is! Really tasty and affordable wok style food! Food: 5/5 Food was tasty and spiced well. Bam bam chicken was good but next time we will get the extra chicken for the up charge as the portion was slightly small. The tofu is fried really well! I loved the drunken noodles and would get them again. The spicy basil beef was also flavorful and fried up in a good crispy kind of way. I loved the spicy chili oil, so worth the $.50 cent charge.Service: 5/5 The customer service was good. They even checked in after bringing our food to the table. It's a weird mix of fast casual and sit down. Not sure what to make of it but they seem to care. Ambience: 3/5 The fixtures and some of the plants were dusty. It is a pet peeve of mine to keep dust to a minimum, as that is basically human skin that is just floating around and could end up on my food. Other than that and the floor not being too clean the place lacks a certain polish and could be a little nicer. There was just a few thing that were out of place, it made it feel like maybe there was some deferred maintenance that should be addressed."
"Sushi in Kansas. Yes, I tempted fate and survived. After hearing rave reviews from a couple coworker, I decided to check it out and order some takeout. Now, when you order online it says it will take 30-40 mins to prepare your order. So I waited about 30 minutes ran an errand and stopped by to wait yet another 20-30 minutes in the resultant for my order. Now the staff was friendly but waiting over an hour for two rolls was not what I had expected my evening to consist of. Finally getting home the sushi itself was alright, as one of the few sushi places in Emporia I may try it again but honestly was unimpressed. The staff was helpful and did include the extra sauces I asked for which I really appreciated."
"we really enjoyed all the good food here. hubby did a flight of whiskey which he really enjoyed."
"I had the udon noodles and a couple rolls of sushi - all delivered by a great waitress. Awesome atmosphere and amazing food. If their dine in experience is this good, hibachi must be even better. I will be going back."
"This place is so good!!! I've heard bad things about it so I never went but I tried it and it was amazing! I don't eat meat but there were lots of tasty vegetarian options. Not a big fan of the desserts but they have real ice cream flavors to choose from and they are so good great experience, went for my bfs bday and then I went back 8 days later for mine."
"Not bad for quick, cheap "Japanese food!" There's not much of a dining-in experience, so I would encourage takeout. The food isn't amazing or impressive, but it's pretty good--the fried rice and crab rangoons are favorites with the kids."
"I'm not normally a fan of Asian Cuisine however this place is a gem! Egg rolls are amazing! Sweet and sour chicken is also very good! I highlyRecommend this place!"
