"I found the $95 service call to be too high. The technician was very nice, but as I stood with him looking at the humidifier, he broke the dampener switch. He did manage to find a replacement that fit, but then he charged me for the part he broke. My final bill was $225 including the $96 part that I originally needed and the $34 replacement for the part they broke and the 20 minutes he actually spent working on my furnace; but yeah, the technician was informative and friendly. They were here just yesterday, so I can't say whether or not the repair was good. We'll probably call someone else next time."

This company actually turns screws and removes parts to clean and inspect. He even crawled up the attic space to get to the unit and did a thorough inspection. "I've used them few times in the past for our AC through our home Warrenty. Till I had to call em for our humidifier which wasn't covered by our home warrenty. For around 25 min of work they send me a bill for around $200. The bill showed they charged me $98 for the valve that was replaced. I googled the same valve and it turned out between $10-$12.I know each company have a service charge of X amount which will applied to the repair however that was not the case here.I called I was hoping the owner tells me it was typo error. Not only that he was very adamant that his charge was reasonable for 25 min of work.I ended up paying the balance and told him next time when I need service I'll make sure my Home Warrenty send me a different company.Now simple rule of business is hold on tight to your customer rather than advertise for a new one."

I told them for 8 k It better work correctly and I don't won't a new condenser on a brand new unit. They then installed an undersized unit and it won't keep the house cool. I was dumb enough to hire them for a second job on a different house to duct work on a new build. They showed up bud it and gave me a start date. Day before they called and said they can't do business with me Due to some company issues. Took me three months to get them to agree to the job and then another month to find replacement. I would never recommend this company. I am having to replace the three year old ax unit they installed already. This is on a house for my 80 old mother. I had them come out twice to check the unit as it does not cool the residence. They treat her with disrespect and are very disrespectful . Stay away from this company. Mathew is the owner operator. Very dishonest individual."

"I've got an old HVAC unit, and had them come out and service it. Old as it was, I was worried it was on it's way out, especially since it wasn't cooling the house like it had. The man came out and cleaned things out. He knew what he needed to take apart, and what not to take apart. He basically communicated that he could really tear into it and "service it" but he felt that given the age of the unit, that some of the serviceable parts would be better left alone. He only charged me half of the service call and left me with a much better working unit.When he left, it worked great for the rest of the summer, and is doing what it needs to for the coming cooler weather as well. When the old unit finally gives out someday, I will probably be giving Even-Temp my first call...."

"This company has horrible business practices. The owner John believes his Techs should be paid to sit in the Van to LEARN how to do their jobs, on my dime. Complete BS. THIEVES.I simply wanted annual maintenance done on my unit. So after 30 minutes of the tech watering my compressor with the power on and the unit running, spraying every component it shorts and trips a code. Then the insanity ensues. The tech has no idea what to do. So sits in the van reading about my unit for an hour. He comes back in, turns the power to the "furnace" off, not the heat pump in order to reset the system. Then turns power back on a minute later. It doesn't clear. Goes back to the van reads some more.The Tech then concludes my once previous working almost new $17,000 system (sadly purchased from them) is no longer functioning and needs a new control module. Luckily it was the end of the day Thursday, so the tech left. So Friday the owner calls back to tell me they need to send the tech out again on Monday to get the information on the system in order to get the right parts ordered and probably take a couple more hours. WOW. All weekend no working HVAC! So a 2 hour visit $240 and the guy sat in the van for 1.5 hours and maintenance was NEVER performed.Until Sunday afternoon I thought this is nuts and decided to learn about it. Dug out my manual on proper maintenance of the system. Googled the error code. Killed the power to the heat-pump, cleaned the clean-effects filters and went out and re-seated the fuses to the heat-pump. All of which took me less than 20 minutes. Turned the power back on and it has worked perfectly for 3 weeks so far. I also do not anticipate any issues.Every encounter with the GENE HENSLEY CO comes with extra added expenses. You have been WARNED! Personally I will never have anyone from this company on my property again."
