"We've been going to Norma's every Sunday since we moved here in Nov 2021. Sandra and Heather are the servers and they are the best! The owner, Jimmy is just the nicest guy... you'll see him out front a lot greeting and chatting with diners. The food is really good, and the cook is so accommodating to any special requests. The Veggie Skillet is my go-to and I love it. My husband asks for crispy bacon, and it always is. Prices are reasonable, and the place is always clean. What more do you need? This is a great small town dinner!"

"I know COVID has hit everyone hard, but a weary traveler needs a place that is open to put some effort into the food. I can tolerate slower service, especially later in the evening, but slower service with lukewarm food That was overdone and then warmed up is hard to get excited about. Malfunctioning equipment kept me from being able to pay with a credit card. It was obvious they were trying, but it was a sub-par experience. This was my first time at an Iron Skillet, it will also be my last. I tipped over 20%, because I think the staff was trying Their best and the problem is beyond their control"

"What an amazing experience! Came for lunch after hiking at Tall Grass Prairie. It's in the 1860 trail house with a museum and cafe. The menu comes alive with the owner walks you thru the history of the area by the foods from native Americans, to the settlers Italians, Germans etc. it's home cookin' at its best. We opted for Native American and went with bison and elk with traditional sides of butter beans, Indian bread, sweet potatoes and apple sauce to die for. We topped it off with homemade rhubarb and strawberry pie. The cherry tea was amazing too. Service was amazing and atmosphere was very unique."

"What a find! We stayed in Salina on our way back to Denver and were pleasantly surprised at what a great, old school, family Italian restaurant this is! Our waiter was the owner's nephew and he did a great job. The food was outstanding and the price/portion ratio was the way an Italian restaurant should be. I got the 1/4 order spaghetti and one meatball and my wife got the stuffed mushrooms (amazing) and a 1/4 order chop salad. All delicious! Loved this place and we will go out of our way to come back."

"I am not a big breakfast person...UNTIL NOW!! My sister in law and I got the French Toast and sausage....a very basic meal. The FT seemed to be double battered and amazing. The sausage...I WANT MORE!! My brother got the Spanish omelet. The omelet and potatoes covered the plate. I would have liked the coffee to be a little stronger. The service was wonderful. I was visiting for four days...can't wait to go back!!"

"Dad told me about this place. It's just off the square downtown and it's a busy place for breakfast!The menu is in large letters so elderly eaters can read the menu without too much of a problem.The waitresses have a colorful variety of work t-shirts to wear. You can buy one if you like for $12!Dad suggested the Big breakfast. There is plenty there for $5.69. Reasonable. The waitress asked us if we wanted our biscuits grilled. Sure! When they arrived, it added a whole new dimension to biscuits and gravy!The frosty mug of orange juice, bottomless coffee and huge glass of ice water( complimentary water, I might add, the old-fashioned way!) Made my day.Good choice, dad! No wonder it is one of his favorite places to eat!"

"My family and I met some of my momma's cousin's here. They live here in Peabody and in a few surrounding towns. It was a good time, food was good also. I definitely recommend the fish sandwich and the cherry pie. Service not fast, but adequate. No worries, slow down y'all. Slice of small town life, this place is open until 2pm everyday. One cousin's significant other said they are open for dinner on one day a month, not sure when that is though."

"I like small town diners, and am excited when I find the gems out there, but this one can be skipped. Went here a few weeks ago for breakfast and ordered something simple -- it was served as a sloppy burnt mess on the plate yet was somehow raw in the middle. I get that sometimes mistakes slip out of the kitchen but if the food is clearly burned and not even in one piece and they serve it anyway, that's all you really need to know about the quality of the diner. Side note - The public bathroom requires you to walk through an active food prep area (!), which incidentally doesn't look so great. Bizarre."

"Came to Stillwater for game day. On the way home, was on the look-out for a local breakfast place. Saw this diner packed with cars around 10 am on a Saturday & had to stop. Fluffy scrambled eggs, hash browns cooked perfectly, homemade biscuits & bacon that I wish was more crispy. If you have a big group, you'll have to divide as the largest table is a 4 top booth. But you'll feel like you're sitting next to them -it's cramped inside and feels like you're in a train car. I did notice a malodorous smell as well as some degree of uncleanliness (water stains on the ceiling), hence the 3 stars. Open 24 hours."

"Omg this is the best place around! My family is new to the area and as soon as we came in we were treated like we've been coming in for years! Staff knew other customers names and was kind enough to tell us portion sizes when my child tried to over order. 1 pancake is enough for a grown adult!! (It's a fluffy one the size of the plate) The grilled ham and cheese was among the best. Seasoned fries were done correctly! The chicken strips were tasty! The scene is amazing! You can tell some hard work goes in to keeping it nice! They had the regular decor and even some Christmas decor up! We will most definitely be back!"

Found this place on my trusty Yelp app. We generally like to try Mom and Pop locations for breakfast as we have usually found they provide the best be breakfast. Well Banjos Cafe is another hot spot to add to our list. When you pull up to this lil place it is off the beaten road. But don't let the location fool you. They are serving up some good breakfast food. I had the veggie omelette with hash browns and pancakes, hubby had the Corny with grits and pancakes. We both enjoyed our breakfast. Omelette well made and full of veggies, hash browns cooked just right and not over cooked or burnt, hubby said his grits had a really good taste to them. Definitely will add this place to my collections."

"A gem in Hays, Kansas. Not very big, ambiance so-so, but service superb and food delicious, hot and tasty. The owner allowed me to order breakfast during the lunch hour (Belgian Waffle with OM eggs and link sausage). Husband had a black & bleu burger cooked perfectly. And, drum roll please, the French fries are made in house and scrumtious. Street parking but lots of it. Handicapped restrooms and a full bar. What more can anyone ask than this? Fairly quiet and friendly people. Windows are CLEAN which tells me the rest of the place is, too."

"My husband I were recommended this diner when we moved here a few months ago and we finally got there before they closed. So happy we did. We were greeted by multiple staff members and actually waited on by a new waiter. Service was great. He went up and beyond for us. We always ask what's a best seller at a new spot. He did give us some options but because he was new he had a waitress that had been there longer chime in. My husband got the garlic bacon burger. Flavor was on point. I got the cowboy burger it has pulled pork on it, an onion ring, and bbq sauce. Very good. Hand cut fries just like home. And I even added a trip to the salad bar for 3.99 huge variety. Sundays they have a bfast buffet until 11 I believe. When I asked for a side a mayo the waiter said all he found was miracle whip. I don't like it so I declined. He then went on a hunt and actually found mayo. Great customer service. We will Def be returning."

I for got take a picture of what I got, but it was on the lunch menu. The pasta sampler. It had a huge ravioli, piece of lasagna and a manicotti. It was out of this world delicious! "I like the variety and the prices. The food is always delicious and the portions are big - - in fact, if you don't want a lot, just ask & they'll give you a half-portion. I sometimes split the special of the day with a friend, and the staff are really good about dividing the portions & the ticket. Sometimes in summer it's a bit cold in Sunny's, but there are places outside or in the coffee bar to sit and eat as well. Sunny's is part of the Buhler nursing home, Sunshine Meadows, so it's a bit hard to find at first, but it's a small town, so just ask! It's worth the trip."

Lots of kitsch to look at, old timey booths, and a greasy spoon atmosphere. Looks to be some ties to classic cars. Lots more character than any chain type place for sure.The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. It was a very small menu with maybe 8 different burgers and a couple of apps and side choices. The burgers were juicy and crispy. They were not smash burgers but they still had the crunchy edge to them. It was really good. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Big burgers and full baskets of fries. We shared the fries/rings between 2 of us and there were some left. The fries are hand cut daily according to the menu and they were definitely not food service frozen style. The staff was excellent. Extremely nice and even though they were slammed they were cool under pressure and did not rush us. Our waitress checked on us the right amount and kept our drinks full. definitely were not frozen food service type. We also had the mushroom app and it was ok, nothing bad but pretty average.Overall its a great place. We came from out of town and found it on yelp and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to eat a burger."

"This diner in Anthony has had a long and storied history, with many owners and various levels of success through the years. It has recently opened again with new owners, and it looks like they've been working very hard to get the Diner up and going like in its glory days. I ate there today for the first time, and was very pleased. I had a substantial double cheeseburger that was well prepared and tasty. A very large order of hand cut fries that were good, as well. And the folks were super friendly. I hope this go-round is successful, and I will help as often as I can !"
