"Stillwater has its fair share of lively bars and honkytonks, and they certainly have their place, sometimes you just want a loud crowd, cheap beer, and a little chaos. But when you're in the mood for something more refined, something with a bit of elegance and a touch of class, The Monarch is the answer. The cocktails are nothing short of an art form. This is not the kind of place where drinks are hurriedly thrown together by a frazzled college kid. Every cocktail is meticulously crafted, each ingredient carefully measured, each garnish placed with intention. The smoked old fashioned is a performance in itself, with the wood set ablaze right before your eyes, infusing the drink with deep, rich complexity. Other cocktails feature touches like earl gray syrup and tobacco bitters, flavors that are bold and sophisticated, mixed with precision by bartenders who clearly take pride in their craft. The food is just as refined without being pretentious. Every plate is a balance of flavors, and a testament to quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. This is not bar food. You will not find cheese fries here. This is the kind of dining experience that elevates an evening, perfectly complementing the artistry of the drinks. And the service? Impeccable. The staff knows their stuff, treating every guest with warmth and professionalism without being overbearing. It's the kind of place where you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. Time slips away inside the Monarch. Stillwater has its fair share of lively spots, and those have their place. But The Monarch is different. It is a place to sit back, sip something remarkable, and enjoy an atmosphere of pure class. It would not be out of place in London or New York, yet here it is, a gem in the middle of Oklahoma. We are incredibly lucky to have it.."
"Food was absolutely delicious, I had the lemon chicken piccata and it was one of the best I've had. Salad was a tad overdressed but was quite tasty and tiramisu was quite good. Servers was very attentive and friendly - so thumbs up on service Restaurant is small but very airy, a definite winner"
"This little restaurant and bar was fabulous. The decor alone was worth seeing, and we had heard it was good, but it was better than good! My photos don't do the place justice. You've got to go see it for yourself. Also the menus have some very interesting dishes."
"This place by far is the most unique and ecclectic club that I have ever visited. A password is required for entry and getting inside the club is literally a maze. Totally awesome! After I got in I ordered a flight of rum along with a cocktail drink. Yum! This place totally rocks!!!"
"The original owner has sold this club to the owner of Finn's. We returned to Revolution to see what changes were made. We originally were excited, as many changes that would bring in frequent female customers were put into effect. For example, the girls no longer are wearing lingerie-esque clothing that would intimidate many women from returning. It seems more appropriate for club wear. We were informed the club was now going to be more of a Rock-Country mix, bringing something to the downtown district that is lacking. My brother and I were excited to hear the changes were going into effect, and that it would stay within the rock-club niche. The down side is that with the loss of the prior owner, several of the girls quit and so the staff did an almost complete change. That being said, it seems like the place is definitely on an upturn. Our drinks were replaced with some urgency, and the staff seems more customer focused than previous occasions. There was one occasion where we showed up and the dj played over an hour of hardcore rap. His music didn't flow, and his transitions were at time sharp cuts in both song and time. Nothing will irritate a rock fan more than going to a rock club and hearing less than 25% of the type of music that they came there to hear. We complained to the staff, and on one occasion were notified that it was a change in ownership and several changes were happening with the club. This change fit no where near what we thought it was going to be, or for that matter, no where near what we were told by the new owner the prior week. Let me be clear, I don't hate rap, and I kind of expect it of a club scenario. (Lets be honest, who doesn't enjoy the occasional rap classic like California or Sir Mix Alot?) But in a rock club it should be less than 20% of the mix.We notified the staff of our displeasure, and were notified by the staff that they would let the owner know. The following week we were told by the owner that indeed the DJ was not in line with what the club was intending to play, and that the club is most definitely going to be a rock club. The DJ for that night was phenomenal, pumping out jams and keeping people in the music. Since that incident, the club has played consistently more to the theme. We've gone there quite a few times and I've seen the scene get consistently better. People are starting to show, and the word is starting to spread. I'm sure this will be a destination spot as the weather improves."
"My final stop before leaving my conference hotel - and this place is one big YES! Surrounded by plants, tea blends, friendly staff, and 90s music, this was a great way to end my Wichita trip! Five stars!"
"This comes the closest to perfection of all places visited on this vacation. Small, but clean and friendly. A true gem for those who enjoy a beer or cocktail without enduring the rowdiness that seems to plague the other local pubs."
"Hands down best place for a relaxing environment and good drinks. Not just in Wichita, but across the globe you're going to have trouble finding a better place!"
"March 24 2023*writing this review from the bar ;)No one has mentioned this place to me before and I kinda hope it stays a easy, high quality, admittedly high end establishment. This is my second time here. I have been alone both times and able to find a solo seat at the bar but it really seems like you need a reservation otherwise. I have NOT been to the speakeasy downstairs. But I hear everyone around talking about "downstairs" so it must be great lol. The bar has had lovely, professional bartenders each time. They seem passionate and meticulous. I'm just drinking wine but the other patrons are raving about the signature cocktails. Apple and smoked Gouda tartine is great! I had the bruschetta last visit, it was ok, order something funner :) The in-house pretzels are real good too."
"As a non-golfer, I had my doubts. But this was so much fun! I recommend the "Scrap Yard" game on the golf simulator. Even with no experience, it was easy to score points and compete with friends. Staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks and snacks were priced comparably to other bars/restaurants in the downtown area. Music playlist was great, and just the right volume to enjoy while still being able to chat with those in my group."
"This place was all around amazing. The servers were very attentive and always brought more chips and salsa when needed. They were very nice and open a modification to my order. I loved the environment, too. The music and cleanliness were great. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend coming here if you're staying in Salina or just passing through!"
"A nice overall coffeeshop that's basically on K-State's campus. It's got outdoor seating, and a sleek, modern feel inside. I worked from here for a while and one thing that keeps this from being five stars is the spotty, inconsistent WiFi. It was cutting out a lot inside, and barely worked at all out on the patio. The coffee was really tasty; opted for my usual, a standard black cup of coffee. Some call it boring, I call it life-giving! It was around $4 for a large, and it packs a nice, caffeinated punch. I also got a slightly overpriced yogurt parfait that was fine, if not unremarkable. They keep this place clean, and it has lots of natural light pouring in which adds to the nice atmosphere. Good spot and one I'd recommend checking out; you know college towns will have good coffee shops, and between this and Brothers, I was happy with my discoveries on a two day trip into Manhattan."

We went to The Monarch tonight and it was a fantastic experience. Everyone around us was raving about the food and the atmosphere. We had the charcuterie board which included Sage Derby Cheese (love it), smoked Gouda, salami, apple compote and more. It was a generous size for the price. We also had the Red Snapper with risotto. The risotto was perfect and the snapper was a definite entree to order again. The atmosphere is elegant and upscale. The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent, and the cocktails were on point. This is a fantastic addition to Stillwater! We look forward to many more great evenings at The Monarch!

We were looking for pasta and decided to try a place we've never been (glad we did)!I had the Alfredo with chicken and my husband had the "Chicken Parmigiana Pizza Style", both were delicious! The parmigiana was so big, there was enough for lunch the next day.Sorry, we forgot to take pictures but trust me, it looked good too!

I can't tell you much because there are rules. The first rule of speakeasy culture is: You do not talk about speakeasies. The second rule of speakeasy culture is: You do not talk about speakeasies. The bartender knows best; there is no photography allowed. However, there is free wifi! I can tell you this: the ambiance is grand, there are ladies like flappers and the gentlemen are dapper. There are crafted cocktails made with fine spirits. Even the bathroom is cool. We tried three cocktails, all of which were divine. There are membership options but we were fortunate enough to check this out when it was available for "the public" to make reservations. I can tell you one thing for sure: when we were inside, I told Eric R., "It sure doesn't feel like we are in Kansas anymore." Perhaps the Big Apple rather than the Little Apple? Compared to our previous homeland of Vegas, the drink prices are reasonable. Cheers!

One of my favorite bars to hang out at in Old Town! The decor of the bar is different from any other place in town. The vibe is very hip and the stage in front of the bar provides for great entertainment when other patrons climb up to dance. The music is typically Top 40 hits with some throwbacks and there's almost always a great DJ on the tables. The bar staff is fast and friendly and the drinks are delish. The bar always has great drink specials too! Ask for the Ron Baker, a sweet and delicious shot created by a Revolution bartender inspired by a local Wichita icon!

I've fallen in love with this fresh, local food, restaurant. They use locally sourced food that is prepared when order. The homemade "pop tarts" are fabulous!

"Absolutely stunning ambiance, views, service and menu! Can't wait to see what comes of this beautiful place!"
"My family and I came here for breakfast this morning and it was delicious! It is Saturday morning so our normal places were impossible to get in to, my brother suggested we try Magnolia Cafe and I was so happy we did. The food was great and our server was very friendly! I'm not sure why they aren't busier but I will be back. Oh, I had the BLT and it was so good!"
"Sweet community hub. Highest quality foods and drinks with nice service in a modern, clean, but welcoming cafe with plenty ioutdoor seating to bird watch next to the river. Must-try items include: macaroons, pecan sticky buns, cortados, and conchas. Breakfast and heartier foods sometimes served as specials on the weekends."
"The food was hot and tasted great. Friendly service. The ambiance was pretty unique. It has a good vibe and friendly atmosphere."
"Amazing food, service and great atmosphere. Support this local business! They are amazing."
"Food is outstanding! Excellent service. Ambiance is nice. Best pastrami I've had. Only complaint is they have a full bar but NO wine."
"https://elmezcaltopeka.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/elmez-front.jpg With the Topeka Capitol Dome in view, you can enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner at El Mezcal restaurant. friendly, attentive service, with delectable food choices, we will be stopping here again!"
"The Buddha bowl with steak was extraordinary!! The steak was super tender and cooked perfectly (I requested medium rare and they delivered). There were a lot of different textures and flavors in the bowl which they paired well together. Prior to arriving, I had read the reviews on Google and expected the meal to be good. I am glad it exceeded my expectations. The service was decent. It took some time for them to take our order and it took some time for them to notice that we wanted to pay."
"We got in late to Woodward and stopped in to have dinner at Luna Mexicana. Our waitress was great and took time answering our questions. Our dinner was really good and the service even better. They normally close at 9 pm. We were there until 9:30. Highly recommend!"
"Brand new restaurant and they're absolutely amazing! It looks really nice inside, and the food and service match. Check out the menu!"
"Very nice atmosphere and loved the very nice people who were dining here as well. The steak dinner was cooked to perfection!! The green beans were very delicious and one of my favorite ways to have them!! We will be back!!"
"Don't be deterred by the outside. One of our crew was highly skeptical, then walked in and said "Well this is unexpected!"We had quick and friendly service and enjoyed some fresh salsa and queso that was far above average. The portions were huge and we should have read other reviews first and taken their warning since we were traveling and unable to box up what would have been a few lunches. The food was great and the service friendly. It was busy even on a Tuesday night and we'd highly recommend stopping in!"
"Amazing food! Fantastic service! Great drinks! This was our first time here and we were thoroughly impressed!! We will be back!"
"Henry, our server, was knowledgeable, efficient and kind. My friend and I enjoyed lunch, and it was her first visit. She had Eggs Benedict, which she said was delicious, especially the Hush Puppies. Although they were out of my first choice, the Spicy Fish Sandwich, my second option was the Chicken Cutlet Club sandwich with avocado, bacon & trimmings. Very good, although a little messy, but that's what napkins are for. I ordered a cup of Crab Bisque as a side and there was some confusion as I got Tomato Bisque. Upon pointing it out the Henry, he made it right by bringing me a cup of Crab Bisque, so I was able to eat both soups! Both are great, but Crab Bisque was AMAZING! This was a quiet place for lunch. It's clean and very ascetically pleasing to the eye."
"Delicious coffee and a beautiful shop with lots of seating in a relaxing environment. The customer service was also wonderful, the employees seemed happy to be there"
"I do not live in Wichita but my son and daughter-in-law do and they took us here for dinner! I personally am not a sandwich eater but I ordered the chicken salad sandwich- the half!!! It was so delicious I ordered the other half! The drinks/beers are also very good- highly recommend this place!"
"i had the most amazing (early) birthday party here on Saturday. I decided to throw myself a birthday party for a milestone birthday, and I was thrilled to be able to reserve the back room at Arrow Cocktail Lounge. Nine years ago I ate in that very room after a long job interview, then had my anniversary meal later that year when I moved there, and took both of my parents there for special meals when they visited - this was the restaurant Harry's that used to be in this space. The room is beautiful and has chandeliers and beautiful moulding in the ceilings. Eric R. and I had a fantastic experience when Arrow hosted a Kansas Day dinner here with local purveyors earlier this year, and I thought that it was the right venue for my party.Working with Rachel and Ben was a breeze. They are fantastic in every way. I was able to secure the room, put down a deposit, have a delicious menu designed, and have the amazingly simply but mindblowingly delicious Kansas honey cake as my birthday cake!Rachel designed a menu of short ribs braised in red wine, mashed potatoes, blistered green beans, salad, and rolls for dinner plus a grazing board sans pork on my request. Ben designed a cocktail menu of some of Arrow's favorites (he is a master mixologist) plus wines, beers, and non-alcoholic choices for my guests. We had an open bar so I wanted people to be able to have various options, especially some of his specialty cocktails. I ended up having only prosecco but I really needed to keep everything celebratory! My friends and mom came and surrounded me with good vibes and kind words, and it was one of the best parties I have ever attended! I am so grateful for the wonderful staff, food, atmosphere, drinks, and value of the event. I highly recommend Arrow Cocktail Lounge and Arrow Catering Company for special occasions. I only have one life so I need to enjoy every moment!"
"Stopped in because we had a gift card from my wife's workplace. Saying I was surprised is an understatement. The staff - very friendly and accommodating. Each person we spoke with was helpful without being over the top. Appetizers - best calamari I've ever had. Mushroom were a delicious surprise. Worked great with my steak. The bread is so light and delicious by itself self. Main Course - my wife's fish (can't remember which one it was. Red snapper I think). Much more than expected but flavorful and light. The entire plate was balanced and she loved the green mint sauce too. Ribeye was larger than expected also. Perfect cook. Fat to meat ratio is on point. Side were very good. Star is the steak. My son's lasagna here was much more than expected. Flavor in the marinara is deep. So much happening and it all works. Even a slight heat on the back side. I didn't try any more than that but he loved it. Pricing - yep it's more than some places. What you get for the increased is a better meal, great staff who seem to care, and plenty of food for the price. We will return here and try more off the menu. It's a nice environment with a comfy feel. We went early but when we left it was filling up. They say it's all fresh prepped and it shows."
"I discovered this place a few years back when the Cyrus first opened up. Though it was new the staff and the food were great.I am not a fan of crowded Sunday brunches so this place today was absolutely perfect for a quiet, delicious, and relaxing breakfast.Coffee is good for brewed."
"Nice backdrops, ambiance, music, staff, and priced right drinks. The Band was on point tonight"
"Stopped here for lunch and food was delicious! Yellow pea soup, beet salad, dill potatoes were very tasty. Friendly and quick service too!"
"The food was pretty good. We ordered the chicken blt wrap and veggie burger. Speed of service was very slow but I can't really blame our server. They appeared to be understaffed. She was pretty much doing everything, including busing tables."
"Ordered the ribeye, penne arrabbiata, and a caesar salad between the two of us. The ribeye had good flavor but was a little chewy. The pasta was nothing special and didn't have any spice to it. Caesar salad was good but it only comes with a tiny piece of bread as the crouton. It's a hotel restaurant so not surprised it wasn't great."
