"I purchased a Samsung top loading washing machine from Old Town. I actually found the unit on Facebook on the marketplace app portion. It is a modern very high tech unit, it was offered at a reasonable price. I negotiated and they accepted my terms. On arrival they showed me many other nice units. They helped me load the machine, I brought it home and it has worked flawlessly through about 50 loads so far. I love how big the tub is in the machine. You can easily wash comforters and even large pillows. I am hoping now they find a matching dryer for me. They even offered me a 30 day warranty, which I really appreciate on a used item like that. I will definitely shop here again."

This company actually turns screws and removes parts to clean and inspect. He even crawled up the attic space to get to the unit and did a thorough inspection. I had a recent service call for my Samsung oven and LG dishwasher and was charged $119.00 for the service call. Oven was fixed by re-adjusting the temperature element. Stated the heating element in dishwasher was bad and part was $93. Returned two days later with new part, installed but did not check dishwasher to see if problem was corrected. Tried to use dishwasher next day and it made a loud noise and no water in unit, but water was leaking from under unit. Returned next day and stated he put sealant of a hose fitting and wait till morning to use. Next day started dishwasher and again loud noise and water was not even warm and after cycle was finished had to hand wash all dishes as they were not clean. Called tech this morning and he stated he was not in town and would call Monday to set up another appointment for next week. So three visits later and problems just got worst. Not happy at all with the service provided and cost for new part that doesn't work to heat water to clean and dry dishes.

They do not even deserve one star. They lie about the warranty they give you. The dryer we purchased was completely fine for the first 25 days. So we still had our warranty when we called. First of all, the guy was incredibly rude on the phone and said he would call us back and make and appointment in "10 minutes". So we called the second time to call and make an appointment but was told the same thing. Finally a third time, we called and asked them why they were taking so long because our warranty would expire soon. They said they would call back, never did, went and took my dryer to be fixed elsewhere and had to pay for it. I was thinking about buying a washer but will NEVER do business with them again! Thanks for nothing Old Town Appliance.

Incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly. I am fortunate to live relatively close to his store, and I finally stopped in to get a couple of attachments for my K5SS mixer. He also answered questions I had about my antique Hobart C10 and salvaged A200. Highly, highly recommend.

Never again will we deal with them after what we just found out on an appliance we bought from them. Our money can be spent on a business that gives customers dignity and respect and not sell an appliance that was worthless from the start. Not to mention on their "repair people" they send out.

"We called to get a second opinion on our washer that's been out for my grandma (who's about to have total knee surgery and can't be driving to a laundromat), they scheduled us a diagnostic appointment next day. Steven came out and was so nice and thorough. 5 stars alone compared to the first repair guy that came out to look at it from a different company. He triple checked everything and showed me everything he did and explained it to me very well. The diagnostic appointment was $93 but considering he prevented us from dumping $ into a different company that didn't even figure out the correct problem, we're not upset. Both the guy on the phone and the guy that came out were so nice and helpful."

"While this store offers a larger selection of fabric and sewing items, the store feels incredibly crowded due to the vacuum repair side of the business. There are vacuums requiring service in multiple areas making the location feel small and cluttered. The shop also sells sewing machines.They have a variety of fabric options and panels as well as thread and other patterns as well."
"The Good: Great Machines so far and they were good to help us set up a token system which works well for us.The Bad: First visit out the owner measured our areas and recommended what machines and how many. Then upon delivery our set up was not a match for what he recommended and we had to return two machines. The delivery guys dented and tore new vinyl flooring, even after being told it was a brand new floor and to put down cardboard or a blanket or something(which they did not do) Company did discount machines cost of floor repairs. Once they have sold you equipment they really are not anxious to have to come back out for repairs and discourage those trips by charging $200 trip fee (for around 75 miles) on top of repairs. There is only a 90 day warranty.In other words I am happy with the washers and dryers...not so much with customer service."

He's done multiple repairs for me over the last few years, and I've appreciated what he has done. Should I give him a 1-star? Probably not. I'd give him a 5-star if things didn't take a turn for the worse.For some reason - and he won't just be honest and tell me - he has gone COMPLETELY unresponsive. The only way I can get a hold of him is to call him from a number that he doesn't have. When I get a hold of him, he says, "Oh, yes, yes. I have your note right here and I've been meaning to call you back." But then he never does. I started our last request in May. It's now November. I've given up on the guy and will not use him again - nor would I recommend him. Half of customer service is responsiveness, of which Darryl has none."
