"I think this is a cool spot. I was passing thru and wanted a Topeka specific vibe/ tradition place and wasn't disappointed. The beer I had was fantastic. Exactly as the wait staff presented it. Wish I had gotten a growler but I was flying home in a few days so it wasn't plausible. The food was great. I had the steakhouse burger which is a mix of the trimmings on their steaks. Im not a burger guy. But I read the description and had to try it. It was really awesome. Grilled sour dough bread. The pickle with it was great. So great. Wish I had one right now. Definitely give it a try if just visiting."

They had small plates so we could order and try a bunch of different items on the menu. The surprise stars of the menu were the fried bologna slider and the fried asparagus. "I came here on a Wednesday around noon after a work event nearby at Stillwater Medical Center along with my coworkers. I'm from the Edmond/OKC area, but have never been to Stillwater before. I was excited to finally get some of the very popular Eskimo Joe's merch, and snagged a hoodie and sweater. I didn't realize how huge Eskimo Joe's is! This restaurant is connected to a merch/souvenir-type store fully stocked with everything and anything OSU, Eskimo Joe's, and Oklahoma gear. The store staff members were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has great food and service. The group I came with ordered the regular cheese fries and bacon cheese fries. The fries came with ranch and were delicious. A few coworkers who were with me have been here quite a few times because their children go to college at OSU, so they gave me some recommendations. I ordered the Classic Joe burger. This came with a choice of side, and I got the pasta salad with Italian dressing. The pasta salad was underwhelming, but the burger was very satisfying. I appreciated that the bun didn't fall apart and kept all of the inside together.A couple of my coworkers ordered the chicken sandwiches. The chicken breast pieces were huge, but tough. Overall I had a great experience and would come back again and maybe try some cocktails and more menu items - probably will avoid the chicken sandwiches!"

"The chicken fried steak is deservedly famous. They were closed for remodeling last time I was in Oklahoma so it was nice to check it out. The breakfast portion would have fed two people. So I enjoyed the second part of the steak cold. Which I recommend doing. It's still ridiculously tender and flavorful. It's an interesting vibe inside. You'll see. Oh -- and it's really difficult to figure out how to get in. The front door has a different Business's name on it."

I believe they have expanded their options recently so they were able to make any of the burgers into a vegetarian version. I ordered the vegetarian version of the Jerk Burger and it was PERFECTION! Probably one of the best burgers I've had in Joplin. It was interesting to have pineapple in a burger but now I don't want it any other way. And the onion rings are massive but so so good! I believe they have a spicy ranch too so I highly recommend getting that with the onion rings/fries. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu now!"

Anyone and everyone will take care of you. Inside/outside- 3 outdoor patios and plenty of space inside. So let's talk about food.... The large portions and in house food creations are excellent. Pizza, wings and burgers are all among the best. The prices.....I'm afraid to comment as I want to make sure it's not too crowded next time I'm town. The burger was more medium well but tasted absolutely delicious! The amount of char on the burgers was perfect and gave the burgers that backyard bbq taste. Fries were nice and crispy. I was very impressed and must say it's the tastiest burger I have had in Wichita so far. Reasonably priced too. Can't wait to be back to try their steak and chicken sandwich."

"In June of 2019, I participated in Biking Across Kansas and Holton was our last overnight before our eighth and final day of riding into Atchison. I was so taken by the friendliness of the people of the quaint town, I have wanted to revisit it ever since.So, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we took the top off of the Jeep and took some back roads to Holton from our home in Lenexa. Being Sunday, businesses on the town square were closed but Boomer's, just a block or so off the square, was open.My wife had the broasted chicken special and I ordered a cheeseburger. Service was good, although a large group seemed to have disrupted things a bit. Food was served promptly, hot and tasty. We split a piece of their strawberry pie--outstanding!If ever in Holton again, we'd definitely stop in."

I am so glad I did... to the point that I ended up not being upset about being out of town and by myself on my birthday. Admittedly, I am particular about my bbq, especially ribs. I genuinely expected very little from this joint in regards to quality of the bbq but I was absolutely blown away by Swadley's... in a good way.The setting is very pleasant and the cleanliness is above most. The service is excellent (thank you Ariana!) and my glass was never below 1/2 full. The menu choices are vast but not overwhelming. The prices are surprisingly lower than most bbq joints in TX. The fresh cut fries and the sweet beans are enjoyable. They offer 4 bbq sauces so you can customize your flavor... but you may not even mess the sauce because the meat is excellent. The brisket is tender, has a nice smoke ring and a flavorful bark. The sausage isn't greasy or spicy so it is enjoyable too. The chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The ribs have the right amount of pull from the bone, bark, tenderness, and flavor. Very impressive Swadley's! Very impressive!"

I couldn't wait to be old enough to go in and get a beer and burger.Years later, I visited and took my husband so he could enjoy the famous chili burger. I even bought a t-shirt! The prices are really reasonable. I would come here before going to a chain for a burger. The beer is cold, the pool tables are ready for you to drop by and shoot a game or two. There was even a sign on the table boasting a hot link sandwich special.This go around, my sister and I took dad. He really enjoyed the chili burger. My sister left the chili and onions of of hers. I had a large glass of tea this visit. Next time I come in, I'm going to work KY way through the menu!"
