Brooklyn & Co Bridal

On 4/15/21 I traveled 236 miles to McPherson Kansas to Brooklyn bridal to try on a dress by Rebecca Ingram. After trying on dresses all day with Brenda, I ordered an Allure dress. Before we left we made a deposit for half of the gown at Brenda's request. She did not have me sign the Brooklyn Bridal form prior to leaving that states the agreement on sizing. Had she done her job correctly I am assuming I may have noticed at that time she didn't write down my measurements. I also did not get an accurate receipt. The dress was ordered and I trusted she knew what they were doing. I was told the dress would be in Sept 1, 2021. The nightmare begins. Shortly after this time they hired some young girl named Megan. Who let me tell you has the worst attitude, etiquette and is absolutely a detriment to this store. She was not interested in helping me one time find suits for my groom and groomsmen. After many calls back and forth, I ended up giving up and ordering through another store who was happy to have my business. I lost out on a free tux because she is terrible at her job and has no ambition. I had spoke with Brenda to confirm that the seamstress would still be available when the dress showed up since I live almost four hours away and she said yes, Lori was aware and willing to help. The dress didn't come in until Sept 10th. I feel like they knew something was seriously wrong and didn't know what to do and were stalling out. I get to McPherson on the 11th and the dress is so small it won't even come close to closing. The seamstress, Lori, is straight up is the rudest person Ive ever met in my life. On the worst day of my life she exclaims "this is the wrong dress for you" and walks out. Brenda comes in and admits she left town "bc of this situation." So she magically is at the store after avoiding me like the plague for weeks and she has scissors right up next to me as she tore the dress apart. Before we left on this day she asks me to pay the remainder of what is owed on the dress. I am floored. Like you just screwed up my entire wedding, I don't even have a dress four weeks out from my day and you want paid in full? She is still swearing at this point she is gonna make this dress right. Sidenote: In April when I tried this dress on I had just given birth. I was 30 pds more and the size 12 in their store fit. The size 12 they ordered me did not fit anything like the 12 they had in a store. The only thing they could say was my body changed. Yah it shrunk inches and yet your dress fits find and mine is way too small. Makes no sense. Brooke told me I needed a "custom dress" Like what the did I just wait 5 months for? I didn't eat or sleep for four days. The next day I begged and pleaded with Brenda to let me take the dresses to a seamstress local to where I live to get another opinion since I had over $1200 in this dress. So, I drove another 220 miles round trip to meet Brenda with the two dresses the next day in Hays. I took them to a seamstress where I live locally and she basically said what Brenda had done to "my" dress was just destroy it further. She told me the dress was never going to move together again bc the outside layer which was all lace was way too tight and they had just shredded the two inside layers which was not giving me any allowance at all. I took the dresses clear back to mcpherson that following Friday and wasted more gas and another days time and wear and tear on my vehicle. Because my mom initially put down cash and we didn't get an accurate receipt that day we lost money. I would stay clear away from this place!!! On the sheet Brenda gave me (that she never had me review prior to ordering) there were no measurements written down from my first visit!!! I don't know what is wrong with this place but you can't run a bridal business if you aren't going to be more on the ball than that. Allure said she ordered me a size based off what fit me in store (the 12) and that is rule number one you order it off the brides measurements!! I would love to see a small town business succeed but trusting them with such an important day would be doing yourself a disservice. Because of this fiasco that happened FOUR WEEKS before my wedding without so much as a "sorry" I was scrambling up until the very last minute trying to get another dress. They never tried to find me a size 14, or even bothered to find more material to make the outside layer bigger to TRY to make the dress work. It was - I guess you'll have to find another dress or look like miss Piggy in this one. It is not fun to find another dress last minute especially when you live in rural Ks! Not to mention the stress, lack of sleep, emotional toll it took on me, my groom and my family. It is sad that I will have this terrible memory for the rest of my life.

Was the first place I went to to start looking for my dream dress. The ladies were so helpful and let me try on as many dresses as I wanted to! They gave great advice and helped me choose the perfect dress and even size to order! I was scared of the process but they made it such a relaxing and enjoyable experience!! They have the cutest shop with the best designer dresses! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for the perfect wedding dress!!

I found my dream dress at Brooklyn & Co Bridal and they were so friendly and easy to work with. I had previously gone to a well known retail chain wedding dress store and had a horrible experience so I was nervous continuing my wedding dress hunt. The ladies at Brooklyn & Co put all my fears to rest and I had the best experience at their store. We then used them for bridesmaids dresses and my hair piece as well! I cannot recommend this store enough!

Brooklyn and Co gave me the best wedding dress experience. We had the whole store to ourselves, and the environment was great. They had the best, most gorgeous selection, and they had tons of veils, jewelry, bridesmaids and mother of the bride options!

I ordered a tuxedo to buy. It was not exactly as I wanted it and Brenda took it back and had it altered to how I wanted it. She was also pretty prompt on calling me back and treated me good. I would recommend her shop to anyone looking for a tuxedo.
