Broadmoor At Chelsea Apartments

I lived here for 4 years with one of my best friends. While we lived there, we had a great experience. Aside from a few instances where there were shootings in our neck of the complex, we did not experience many issues. Any time a repair was needed, they had someone there to fix it promptly within the day. They maintained lawncare well and there was always, always a parking spot available in front of your specific apartment. The staff at the front office was always nice and helpful. We moved out after four years and many many referrals toward our friends and family [later] to rent from Broadmoor (We were so glad to have finally found such a neat, organized, helpful place to rent from). Unfortunately, after we moved out, they sent us a letter asking for about $2000 to replace the carpet (in addition to our deposit that we never had returned). We sent a courteous email back saying we had been good tenants...cleaning up any trash we saw on the ground as we walked to the dumpster, always paying our rent in time, etc...and that we felt our deposit not being returned was more than adequate to cover 800 sq feet (carpet being only about 60% of the layout). We did not hear back further. We assumed they decided to not pursue it further. When we moved in, the carpet had large bleach stains throughout and was cheap carpet from the looks of pieces coming loose. The lady giving us the tour had told us that a man had lived there before and the carpet had came defective with the stains. She assured us that we would not be held accountable for the defects upon move out. Anyway, long story short, we get a letter from corrections almost a year later asking for about $2000. We felt bamboozled :( I do not recommend Broadmoor at Chelsea.

I called apt. 1207 in this complex home for 5 years, throughout the undergrad and part of grad school. Liked it a lot but then it turned into projects... you'd wanna move out when cops show up regularly at your neighbors' apartments.

the worst experience ever a friend of mine went through with these apartments! they stole all of his belongings!!!The worst customer service ever afterwords. A friend of mine was a month behind, so they locked his apartment took couple thousands of dollars worth of electronics and after he paid the month behind and the cancelation fee, he never got his belongings back, since they took it from him, telling him that they paid for the storage and couldn't pay any longer so they lost it all. The owner kept on threatening the customer that he is a part of the local law firm and told the customer that he has no chance to get his belongings back. Think twice before you get into this mess!!!! The worst customer service ever!
