Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!... Great way to spend a morning. For a small zoo, it is very nice and still has a wide range of animals to see.The pond for the swans, monkeys, a butterfly enclosure, and even a little binturong- you can't go wrong

This FREE, yes, that is right FREE, attraction hosts a zoo, picnic area, butterfly gardens, an education center, and a large amount of walking trails. It is a great place to enjoy being outside, or to spend a few hours while in Great Bend. The grounds are well-kept, and there are plenty of places to rest. A great place to be, if you are in GB.

The best free zoo in the state. There are extensive animal enclosures including lions, tigers and bears - oh my! The staff works really hard here to host educational experiences for children and maintain the ground. The new welcome center has various learning stations for kids, making for a great outing if you're in central Kansas.

Good for what it is (and free). Be prepared to walk. Some unique animals you don't normally see in a KS zoo.

I've enjoyed this zoo since I was a kid. For a zoo with no entrance fee, it is amazing, especially for a small town. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

Brit Spaugh Zoo is very family friendly and lets me feel confident in taking my son there. It has a wide diversity of animal wildlife including a butterfly house. In an entirety it is kept clean including the enclosures for the animals, and the sidewalks and ponds. The hours and the fact that it is free is a large part of why this Zoo is an incredibly safe and knowledgeable place to take your family!
