Brass Rail

Wife n I enjoyed our usual 2 for $$ entree tonight. Salmon and steak + cheese sticks & drinks. The fish was great as was my steak. The waitress, Kale, was very professional. Always ensured our drinks remained topped off. The ambiance was typical of Applebee's. *NOTE APPLEBEE'S CORPORATE. Put gravy on the menu for mashed potatoes, meats, etc. White for chicken or pork. Brown for beef or perk.

This is a perfectly good neighborhood bar and a local favorite.It's not fancy, just a long bar with some booths and tables set up in the middle of a medium sized room. This is a Regular Joe hangout so expect the basics, like an ice cold beer or a cheap well cocktail.It's the perfect place to shoot the bull with the guys (or girls) after work or to kick back with a couple of cold ones after eating dinner across the street.Just don't forget to tip the bartender.

We wandered into this dive with the beau's uncle and some family friends, all of which live and went to college in Hays. Though it's just a typical small town dive bar, the stories that our companions shared while we had a beer here were priceless. Getting served beers straight out of the ice boxes that are still underneath the bar and playing "pitchers" and other drinking games were just some of the stories that we heard from their college days. So, even the bar itself was nothing to write home about, the memories had here are not soon to be forgot.

Most relaxed bar in Hays KS. The dream of the 90's is alive in the Brass Rail.

Old school ambiance built in the 40"s keeping it old school. Pool,shuffle board nice place to have a beer or drink. Great prices!
