Bob's Grill

Local, quaint and casual diner that's been around since 1950. The servers were all very friendly and helpful, even on a very busy Friday at lunch time. Friday special of fried catfish was very good. The steak sandwich was tender, juicy and a large portion. However, the meringue pies stole the show! German chocolate was the BEST! The coconut was very good as well as the pineapple. Tip: don't be surprised by the unique location of the bathroom. As mentioned, this place has been around quite awhile- my spouse tells me there used to be a picnic table to dine at in the kitchen! Support local!

I was at the post office and asked where a good place for lunch would be. Go to Bob's Grill. Yes, it is an All American diner. Specials of the Day and always some type of pie. I had the special--meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw with "from scratch" rolls. Very, very tasty. Unfortunately my friend is doing this Paleo-type diet which is fairly restrictive. She ordered grilled chicken breast, green beans and the tossed salad. Her chicken breast looked like a yellow oblong hockey puck, and she "sawed" into bite-size pieces. The tossed salad was a itty-bitty bowl of iceberg with a single shred of carrot. Go with the specials! Priced right--good portions--homemade--tasty. Just wish Bob's served real butter instead of the "spread". They did have honey! Cash only.

this is your old time downtown diner. Been around for a long time, with the small town atmosphere.I've had a few breakfasts here in the past and the other day a steak, ribeye cut, well done. I like a ribeye med at the most, but it was an okay cut of meat. Curly fries instead of baked potato, great coffee.

Great food, love the small diner, love the waiters, always fast and great at making things right !

Bob's grill is a great establishment in the small town of Blackwell. Homemade food, fresh salads, and pie! The staff here is great, very friendly and accommodating. They only take cash or local checks. No credit cards.
