Blue Stem Lodge

This "Mom & Pop" motel is run by a friendly staff that is always smiling and welcoming. The rooms are clean and neat and smell fresh, too. I'll be back!

Stayed two nights in November 2017. Our room was a smoking two queen room with refrigerator and microwave. Clean room in an older hotel. Retro double swag light fixture in bathroom, definitely not updated but has been taken care of. No WI-FI reception (unless one was close to the office), even though we paid for it. Idling diesel pickup truck warming up for a half hour in the parking lot both mornings was very annoying. Loud party Saturday night in one of the rooms, arrested according to the police report. Lots of slamming of doors in early morning. Grumpy check in clerk, she never smiled. Our elderly relative had to be moved because of their error. No apology from the staff for their error.

Our stay at Blue Stem Lodge has been wonderful. The rooms are clean. The new air-conditioning will keep you as cool as you want. The pool is always clean. And they are dog friendly. Rhonda and her staff are kind, considerate, and will help you with anything that they can. We have been here a month because of house fire and the service is still always top notch.

only hotel in town but next time we will be driving to El /Dorado. This hotel needs major updating. Carpets are filthy and paint in bathroom peeling. The front desk manager was rude and did not seem to want to do her job because it was after 8 pm. We requested a non smoking room due to allergies but everything reeked of cigarette smoke. Only thing good was they did have a frig and microwave in the room

Called to ask if they had monthly rate because I needed to stay here for school and the lady was so rude and acted like I was stupid.. Not impressed.

Stayed there in spring of 2009 en route to Oklahoma mushroom hunting. The motel (not a lodge) was basic but clean. The clerk was almost hateful acting. I don't know what her problem was but it would be enough for me to not bother with the place again.
