Blackstone Gastropub

I let Mrs. K. do the searching for tonight's dinner and it was a winner. She picked Blackstone to have dinner with our daughter and her roommate. We were warmly welcomed and brought to a table. Our waiter was attentive at taking orders, answering questions and refilling drinks.We started with the charcuterie tray which was a nice mix of cheeses and meats and pickles. Plenty for the carnivores and the vegetarians at the table.My wife had the fish and chips. A big portion of crispy fish and half of it came home. I chose the brisket burger which was a big patty and a thick slice of brisket, upgrading to the mac & cheese for a side. With the big appetizer, half of this also came home and was the next day's lunch.Blackstone has a nice selection of beers and other drinks. We had no trouble picking some delightful frosty adult beverages and enjoyed our evening here.Great service, not too expensive, a lovely meal. We were driving through St. Louis and decided to stop by! It was my first time having poutine fries and they were amazing! Favorite thing on the menu. I got the flagship and my husband ordered the special which was a patty melt. I took a bite of his and the bread was so crispy and delicious! I enjoyed mine as well. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Great service. Would definitely come back for those fries!

Took a chance while driving through and we've had to revisit since. I can't even recall what else we ordered because the gnocchi is all I can remember. It's only a side dish but it's that memorable. It's served with a pesto Parmesan cream that we've tried without luck to recreate at home. Also the pops of goat cheese were the best addition. Pretty sure we got a burger and the poutine, which was also very good.

This could be five stars, but I'll wait to give it 5 until I return. I sat at the bar and the bartender was engaging, fun, and very attentive. The Nashville hot mac and cheese (not on the menu but offered as a special) was excellent, and the bacon vinaigrette was good as well. I visit Joplin about 2-3 times a year for work, and I'll definitely be back and update accordingly.

The food is amazing with a modern flare. Never had anything bad from this place! Service is always great and friendly too. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious. We have tried several items from their menu and some of their specials when we have gone to the restaurant and they have all been great. The service is also great. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is small but the decor is fun! We look forward to eating here.

I am a Buffalo wing enthusiast & traditionalist.Buffalo Hot please.Absolutely no dry rubs or exotic flavorings please.I have, for about 15 years, been looking for wings in this area that are as good as what I find on the East Coast- until today I was disappointed time & time again.Blackstone finally made my dreams come true!Their wings aren't Duffs/Anchor Bar traditional Buffalo wings; But their smoked then fried Buffalo style is amazing nonetheless!This will bring me back regularly from here on out.Thank you Blackstone!

I always look at Yelp reviews when I'm in a city I'm not familiar with. Blackstone had great reviews, so we stopped by after a baseball game before driving home. The first table they sat us at had ketchup and something else sticky all over the floor where our feet were. We had to move to another table. The booths were pretty tight, so we put a chair at the end and they told us we couldn't due to fire code. Ok, but it didn't make for a comfortable seating situation. We made it work. The food was very good (which is why they have a 3-start review), but the service wasn't great. We had to chase down our server several times. Finally, the manager jumped in (I think she was also bartending), and she was amazing. The food is great, but the service just needs some work.

The serving staff was amazing showing us the specials and fully explaining and answering our questions. The food was delicious. The mussels from Brussels were divine. The el caliente margarita was out of this world good. And the smoked cobbler was to die for. I've been there so many times now and never have I had an unsatisfactory experience. Always ask for the daily special just to see if it's something I want to try. More often than not I get the special sometimes the daily or the monthly special. Everything is great. The ambiance in the pub is local art work that in this space is really beautifully done. Go try it if you haven't and go back if you have. But I suggest a reservation by calling ahead.

Service was good. Food was just OK. Place was packed. It was our first time. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing.
